Awful tasteless food and ignorant staff
Carlos – ColneI went last week and believe me it will me the LAST time i go, after being spoken to like a idiot by a man who i understood was called Leeroy. He took our order by shouting from across the "restaurant". he then cooked it himself while filling the place up with smoke and filling the street outside with smoke, somehow! food had clearly been frozen (maybe multipul times). I was vomitting 8 hours after into the night. Disgusting food, awful service and in general foul!
Stickychops Restaurant – PrestonCan't believe how hit & miss this pub is. It must depend on who is doing the cooking. As in the past it was ok. but recent visits the meat is as been not fit for a dog & the house wine is cheap plonk very dissapointed a nice pub going down hill fast not worth the money for poor quallity
Plough Inn – ChorleyNo problem handing over card - it gets locked in a safe to which you are given the only key. On to the important stuff: great food, excellent choice of drinks allied to superb service. Many of the top restaurants could learn about hospitality from Graham and his young lady colleagues, greet every customer, make them welcome and acknowledge their departure with a friendly word.
The Palatine Cask Ale Bar – Morecambedont eat here!! the environmental health have been here because of the rodent problem but it is not the cleanliness that's the problem but the lack of ethical practice. the chicken if you ate it was probably left out overnight to defrost where the mice can get to it then their faeces picked off and served up to customers !! how do iknow well lets just say i have seen the evidence. i want to make this clear this is not the fault of the normal staff they are all conscientious good people and even the owners do not know how long this has been going on but it is and it still does probably because the staff who know are told to keep thier mouths shut. its a shame as someone will get seriously ill one day and the decent staff will lose out so will the owners all because of one person who is more worried about being found out than the health of the public
The Italian Orchard is one of my wife's absolute favourite restaurants and so we try and get here as often as possible. We jumped at the chance to bring our ten year old daughter for her birthday yesterday! The weather was aweful but once we arrived nobody even noticed. The food was excellent, the ambiance was as always relaxed and unobtrusive and the service was very good. I don't know of anywhere else you might go on a Tuesday lunchtime and get a live pianist!! Very highly recommended!!
Italian Orchard – PrestonThis country pub near Beacon Fell is full of character and I love the fact that you can sit either n front of or behind the bar (hard to explain unless you visit for yourself). A nice meal as always and left with a Lancashire cheese bomb and a brace of pheasants under my arm.
Ye Horns Inn – PrestonHad Lancashire Hotpot - very little meat nor carrots. It did have a good enough taste and the sliced potato on top well done.
The Highwayman – Kirkby Lonsdalev friendly, top beers and spirits. good music.
The Robert Gillow – LancasterMy first visit to Shaman was a wonderful experience, excellent food excellent service and excellent value for money, can't wait to treat my husband to meal there in the near future .
The Shampan – PrestonDreadful Disgusting Food Dirty Cold Place!Took Mum for meal that was completely inedible. Complained to the bar maid and asked to speak to manager but was told he wasn't about. The food was badly cooked and tepid, we had fish and chips and the chips were undercooked, the fish was very greasy and the peas were cold. I was really disappointed! This pub is letting down Lancashire! It could be so much better but it seems like the person or people who own it are past caring. It is dirty, cluttered and shabby, with a complete mismatch of tables and seating etc. It's clear that the place is run on a shoestring, with no quality or care in it's food provision. The Ship is a place to AVOID!
The Ship Inn – OrmskirkOut of date restaurant ,dark and dinghy, awful food{soup tasteless like wallpaper paste.roast beef packet sliced with a bland gravy that sets} cutlery and furniture looks like it came from an auction. Needs total revamp.
Amelies – ChorleyAlways fantastic, excellent food service and atmosphere! Would recommend to everyone never been disappointed yet!!
Astley Bank – DarwenNot 5 star food only fair had better at other indian in rawtenstall ,no cloths on tables ,paper napkins all in all not worth the money.
North Street Indian Restaurant – Rawtenstallfood quality and service is 'fine dining' and very good at that, but let down by awful monotonous loud piped music, blasts of hot air coming from under the seats and large TV screen flickering in the corner. At 'fine dining' prices I was disappointed to be uncomfortable whilst eating what was excellent food.
Pheasant Inn Brewers Fayre – OrmskirkEveryone seems to be talking about the Freemasons at Wiswell these days so we drove out last Friday evening to see what all the fuss was about. Must say it pretty much ticked all the boxes for me in terms of decor, food and wine but don’t go there expecting a gastropub – this is proper high-end restaurant cooking (with the prices to match if you eat from the a la carte or tasting menus). Highly recommended.
Freemasons At Wiswell – ClitheroeFabulous. We went in a big party to celebrate my daughter's 21st. My daughter have failed to tell them one of the party was in a wheelchair, they were very accommodating. Half of the party were half an hour late, still no problem. Despite the fact that they were very busy, our food came out all at the same time, and it was hot. and it was delicious! Very impressed with service, food and the whole experience.
Zio Ristorante – BurnleyNot been yet but MUST go VERY soon! Reading the reviews, it sounds FANTASTIC!Que approveche!
