The Waterwitch – LancasterOur first visit here and was great. The lovely interior to the lovely staff. Plenty of food to choose from the menu for everyone. Service was brilliant and food & desserts arrived with no problem. We will definitely be back.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallI booked a meal for 3 people to celebrate my husband's birthday and I wasn't disappointed The service was very good, but more importantly the food was amazing. We all said how much we had enjoyed it. Not only that but we also felt it was fairly priced So, much so we've booked again for another birthday very soon!
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyAnother lovely evening. Great food, served by very friendly, professional staff. Always a pleasure to visit Quattros, special occasion or not. Everyone is helpful and kind whenever my elderly, disabled sister in law joins us.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkFrom first enquiring about a table for a family gathering of 22 to booking and last minute changes everyone couldn’t have been more helpful. On the day everyone enjoyed the food and the staff were lovely . Would definitely go again. Thank you to everyone at Maxy Farm
Maxy Farm Pantry & Restaurant – PrestonAlways lovely food. Thank you
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeCan’t sing their praises loud enough. Just moved into the area and ate here on Sunday evening with family, first visit, and it will definitely be our ‘go to’ pub and restaurant going forward. All our meals were really delicious, service is marvellous, really smiley, warm and efficient staff. The atmosphere was so lively and up-beat, it’s clearly well-frequented by many locals and visitors to the area - and it’s no surprise either! Highly recommended to anybody considering visiting, don’t hesitate, you won’t be disappointed!
Trawden Arms – ColneThis was the first time we visited for a Sunday Roast as we are up here dog sitting while are daughter and family are on holiday. This is a mixed review, the food what there was, was really good, I had roast pork and my wife had roast beef. The menu said with all the trimmings,? So the meat was excellent also the Yorkshire pudding and gravy, but 2 half small roast potatoes and a bit of mash? No carrots as they ran out and no apple sauce. So what we had was really nice but the portion size to a West Country Sunday Roast size it was small and the price was roughly the same to a West Country pub meal. Would I go there again, yes I would, the staff were excellent and the food was really good and tasty but the portions need to be a bit bigger and don’t hide the 2 small half roasties under the Yorkshire pudding. I thought Yorkshire people enjoyed big portions, but I suppose at the moment it’s down to cost, which I can understand. But in all we enjoyed the meal.
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenWe really enjoyed the food but the service was poor and let down the experience. We waited 45 minutes before asking someone to take our order, and nobody bothered to take our dessert order so we gave up and just got the bill from the bar. A shame as there was so much on the menu we wanted to try, but wouldn’t rush back to do so.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallUnfortunately there were very few options for veggies (apart from small plates/starters). Visited on a Sunday and would have loved a veggie roast as the roasts looked great but als no. Current problems with staffing may explain why my dessert was under par. Could have done with longer in the oven and not enough sugar.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleOk food.Sunday dinner poor selection of veg trimmings. We had high expectations due to the quote on website re master chef professional chef. Pub in need of an update. Toilets poor decor and a proper clean. Friendly staff but did have to ask for them to collect our plates and for the dessert menu. Over priced meal. We were left slightly disappointed.
Ship Inn – LancasterWe hadn’t been to the Lunesdale for a while but having read the reviews we booked for lunch on Saturday. Over the years it has evolved and is now a very stylish welcoming place to eat. We were greeted by the young and enthusiastic staff. It took us a while to make our choices due to the many options available. We didn’t manage to reach the dessert menu but we’re keeping that treat for next time, and there will certainly be a next time.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleBeautiful food. Beautiful restaurant and the service was fantastic. Thank you for a lovely meal.
CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenFantastic food in a beautiful restaurant, the service was excellent and I would highly recommend to anyone.
CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenWhat a place! Just what the local area needed - excellent food, very talented chefs with a good choice of dishes that are a lovely size. The decor of the restaurant, bar and especially the outdoor seating area (I felt like we were in Ibiza not Lower Darwen!) is amazing. Some excellent choices. Highly recommend a visit.
CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenExcellent as usual. Lovely setting. friendly staff and delicious food!
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleExcellent as it always is a look forward treat and a pleasure to dine in a lovely restaurant
Quattro’s – OrmskirkAnother fantastic meal here. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. Especially good value for money on a Sunday, cocktails and pizzas reduced. The young pizza chef is fantastic. We will be back again very soon. On point, watch out now if you usually park in Morrisons, it's now controlled by Europarks and a two hour limit while the store is open.
