Italian Orchard – PrestonAMAZING ! Our first visit to Angels was simply stunning. From the decor to the food to the service, this restaurant deserves Michelin recognition. For anyone looking for a decadent experience without the awkwardness of formal ponse then this is the establishment for you. The fillet steak and Venison were cooked and presented to perfection. My partner has tried for two years to find a restaurant that i don't find fault with.... and he now has !!! how to describe the foodie experience - and i shared this with the owner " I've died, gone to heaven and come back for more" !! To all at Angels, THANK YOU for such a wonderful evening. Looking forward to our next visit !!!
Angels – Prestonyou are the best in the world AND I MSS ALL OF YOU MARIA BARCELONA
Shahi Qila – BlackburnService bad, food not good, staff not professional.
The Walton Arms – AccringtonHad a wonderful Sunday lunch here last week. Great value food and wine. Will return.
Left Bank Brasserie – Ormskirkamazing restaurant, having been dining here, since it opened regularly, travel from southport for lunch and evening meals, fantastic food everytime, lovely building and decor, amazing staff, always so friendly and welcoming, and also when we take my god daughter, they are fantastic with children too, you will not be disappointed, fantastic for lunch and also for that special occasion, hopefully going for lunch today, me and my friend love it and would recommend to all x x
Trattoria San Marco – PrestonAll restaurants we visit are compared to Amelie's. None come even close. Amelie's is EXCELLENT - a quirky venue with very attentive staff and the most divine food which not only tastes superb but looks amazing. Very reasonably priced too. 11 out of 10.
Amelies – ChorleyThis place is a hidden gem, the new owners have given it a culinary lease of life, the chef comes from the team of Nigel Howarth of Northcote
Griffins Head Bar and Grill – AccringtonWhen someone knows how to run a pub, make all guests welcome and offer them home styled grub which is just that bit tastier than you normally cook at home then you know you are on to a winner. Well Done and keep the good work up xxx probably shouldn't have written this review - might not get a table...
The Lock & Quay – ChorleyVisited Dalton Arms on the Saturday before Christmas and the food was exceptional, the portions were really good value for money, I had the seafood tag and my wife had home-made fish pie accompanied by PROPER chips (We shared).... Brilliant, Only one complaint, barman seemed to be a bit lacklustre and uninterested apart from that a lovely pub in a lovely setting.
Dalton Arms – LancasterAbsolutely Foul , The atmosphere is dreary at best and the Food is repulsive . Someone Shut It Down !!!
Casa Tapas – RawtenstallSimply the Best11 years of consistently outstanding service and food. The food is simply cooked and presented perfectly and the set menu at just under £10 is value that is hard to beat.
Happy Village – ChorleyVisited for the first time last Friday and guarantee that this will not be the last time i eat there. I agree wholeheartedly with the other reviews, this is a hidden gem in the heart of Chorley The food was fantastic, reasonably priced for the high standard and was greatly enhanced by the service and atmosphere. The cocktail bar after the meal was very cosy and finished off a really great night. Highly recommended. Thanks to all at the restaurant.
The Cosmopolitan Restaurant and Cocktail Bar – Chorleyfood was amazing, already had high expectations when we came but the food and service exceeded that. we live in Manchester but it was well worth travelling a short distance to feel like you're on holiday eating at a tapas in Spain. the atmosphere and staff were friendly and with a large menu you cant go wrong, will definitely be going back soon!!!!
Casa Tapas – RawtenstallGo to Double Tree nearly every week, great people, fantastic food....
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – PrestonNot been since the moved and was unsure what to expect as we loved the old venues, but i might have known the place is simply stunning the pictures on here don't do it justice, i love the courtyard area and the church bench seating opposite the bar adds a lot of character. We started our dinner with a sharing board, 5 cheeses ham and chorizo, some olives and toasted bread, you will not get better value anywhere and all were truly delicious. We washed this down with a bottle of ducks flat shiraz reasonably priced at around £18. We the moved onto a banquet created for us i believe by the boss whom was in the kitchen tweeting at the time, i say this because i follow them and my phone was going crazy with images, lets just say we were impressed to say the least, the banquet started with seabass prawns and bravas potatoes, closely followed by some steak and chicken in coconut, then a bowl of duck with plums ( fresh might i add) and topped off with greek salad and mushroom cheese dish, 6 of us in total and not one word between us until we finished and almost licked the plates, i would recommend to anyone, just had to ask for another bottle of wine, but they were busy so forgiven, we ordered 2 desserts a cheesecake and some ice cream both were lovely but we over faced ourselves they were good though, and very nicely presented, some up market restaurants should take note, will leave tummy room next time. looking forward to visiting again this time with work we booked on line yesterday and received a prompt and friendly reply, thank you to the manager to who extend our table to fit all the lovely food !
Duk-Pond – PrestonDined here last Thursday evening. I must say what a hidden gem. Real ale, Real fires and Real food. We were seated in the conservatory by our very friendly waitress who told us the specials for the day. the menu was varied and the choice plentiful.I had the chicken wrapped in bacon with a leek and cheese sauce it was beautifully cooked and moist with fresh vegetables and home cooked fat chips, my wife had the beef strogonoff and she was a very happy lady!! obviously cooked to order with strips of steak with lashings of cream and wine, she had rice and garlic bread all included and i had to help her finish it ( a man has these things to do :) ) they had a great range of cakes in a display fridge but we had had our fill already. We finished off with a pint by the roaring fire before heading for home very full. I would heartily recommend a trip to the sitting goose but don't eat too much the day before.
The Sitting Goose – PrestonThis is my absolute favourite Italian restaurant. I've been there 5 times in as many months already and I've never been disappointed. I also took friends to sample the food and they all agreed. It might be small and quiet but the food is so fresh, it's amazing. And their unique tomato sauce is unrivalled. The early bird menu before 6pm is well worth it if you can get there early.
