Maxwells Cafe & Delicatessen – LancasterWhat a breath of fresh air, finally a nice cafe in Lancaster!! wonderful home made food and great service thank you!
Maxwells Cafe & Delicatessen – LancasterWe have been to Amelies several times as we are lucky enough to live nearby. The food and service is consistently good with a wide choice for vegetarians and vegans. Don't expect ultra swish, the decor is very quirky and some rooms a little shabby but that all adds to the interest. Anna Maria is a natural host and makes you feel at home very quickly. The house rose is highly recommended and is good value.
Amelies – ChorleyLovely cafe, lovely people and fabulous homemade food
Maxwells Cafe & Delicatessen – LancasterBy the looks of these reviews we all seem to have been going for over 20 years. I certainly have so that must give a clear indication of what Anaz is like. The problem we have is wherever we are in the World we always end up comparing our Indian curries to that of Anaz. Anaz always comes out top.
Anaz Indian Restaurant – DarwenAngels must go to the top of your list of places to experience fine dining. A true jewel for pleasant and friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and attention to detail. The head chef truly knows his craft. The food was first class. Every course, perfectly prepared and presented. A pleasure. This makes for a very special evening which we will be very happy to share with family and friends very soon . Thank you to all at Angels.
Angels – PrestonWent to Amelies on Saturday September 24th for a family birthday. All seven guests were thoroughly delighted with the food, the staff and the restaurant although some of the wine is overpriced. Will definitely go again.
Amelies – ChorleyFound the oyster and otter on sugar vine and we read the reviews and went last night. We were NOT disappointed. The pub is very well appointed. The service and welcome were great. The food was fantastic- my husband had the fishcakes followed by fish and chips. I had the crab and cider bisque(soup of the day) followed by the Malaysian Seafood Curry. All were really lovely and we will be back there very soon and would highly recommend to anyone
Oyster and Otter – BlackburnI try all the take away and restaurant in the area I must admit they have some thing different. The food is absolutely delicious, me and my girlfriend ordered two different dishes, I ordered xacuti which is a totally new dish for me never heard before in any Indian restaurant but I really really enjoyed it. Specially the service is excellent. Staff is very friendly during all the time in the restaurant we were looked after very well and the owner personally came to us to make sure we are well served. I would recommend raj durbar to all my friends because it worth going there. Thumbs up to raj durbar.
Raj Durbar – RawtenstallVisited midday today and had one of the best pub meals for ages. The only problem being that the helpings were far too generous for an old man but I do understand they serve smaller helpings if asked for. The soup was the best soup I had eaten for a very long time. In addition, the meal based on gammon ham was perfectly cooked to my taste. You can see the kitchen was clean and the toilets were sweet smelling and well maintained. Many restaurants and dining public houses have hard seats here they were soft and comfortable. You felt welcome.
Dalton Arms – LancasterA wonderful place to enjoy an evening, whatever the size of your party. Friendly and attentive service. Fabulous range and quality of food, each course, superbly complementing the others. A great selection of wines. All served in a contemporary and comfortable setting. A real treat for those looking to eat well and have your senses pleasantly stimulated. Expect to leave with a smile on your face!
Angels – Prestonwithout a doubt best curry ever friendly service
Raj Durbar – RawtenstallI like Indian food and have tried lots of restaurant for Indian curries and food but this restaurant seriously has something different in their food which makes them best in taste in the town.Taste good, service excellent and very friendly I will consider them the best.
Raj Durbar – RawtenstallWe have not been to Alghero's for some time but we remember how much we enjoyed it the last time we visited so i decided to book a surprise meal for our Wedding Anniversary. I knew that it maybe quiet being midweek so the atmosphere would not be vibrant but when we arrived there was 2 other couples and 1 more arrived and that was it, but this is no reflection on the restaurant itself as i said it was mid week. My wife and I ordered different courses as we usually do so we can sample each others and get a true taste of the culinary delights. The Starters were fine but when our 2 different steaks arrived they were actually swimming in sauce to the extent that you could not see the steak. I had the Fillet while my wife had the Sirloin and we both like them cooked medium to rare but we both received them medium to well done. Our potatoes arrived on a separate dish which we were served the potatoes and then the remaining potatoes were taken away, Why?? The vegetables also cam on a dish which were not served to us but we had to serve them ourselves (no big hardship) but a contrast to the potatoes! We ordered a dessert between us which was not brilliant and we both felt very let down by the standard of the cuisine and service level and when we went to pay the bill, the lady behind the till asked us if everything was alright with the meal etc, so when we said NO, she just said " Oh Dear" and that was that! It maybe just a one-off glitch? as we have enjoyed evenings there before, but it will be a long time before we may consider another meal there!
Alghero – ChorleySituated in the lovely countryside nr Lancaster is this very pleasant tearoom. I stopped off for a very nice lunch. It has a friendly host and a garden shop in the same complex. My superior sarnie came with a very nice salad. One of the better cafes in Lancashire
Bridge House Farm and Tea Room – LancasterHad a lovely time at Tino's a few weeks ago. The food and whole experience is always very good but the last time we went the service was especially wonderful. The waiters were professional but relaxed and made us feel very welcome in the restaurant! The house white wine was also gorgeous.....please don't change! Well done Tino's and hope to be back soon!
Tinos – PrestonThis village pub is excellent, so welcoming and the food and service is very good and great value. We usually go on the steak and wine nights were 2 people can eat for 13pound! The food is wonderful and staff really know what customer service is... Highly recommended for nice drink or fantastic homely meal and surroundings.
The Golden Lion Hotel – ChorleyI meant to leave this review after I first visited earlier this year with my partner, June-ish. It's been a long time since I have been so impressed with a restaurant. I could not fault it in any way at all - the decor was of good quality, service was prompt and efficient without brusqueness, food was heavenly, good portions and I got a rose at the end - nice touch. Our bill was ever so slightly pricey, but it was well worth it. We're visiting again tonight, this time with children. This place is definitely my favourite restaurant in Preston so far.
