The Fat Giraffe – BurnleyTasty, filling, moreish and ideal food to eat while walking round historic Lancaster.Very reasonable cost with friendly service. Coming back to try out the upstairs room soon......
GoBurrito – LancasterGo Burrito is an absolutely fantastic place to eat out or takeaway. The food is so fresh and delicious. The staff are very friendly and will make your order exactly the way that you want it. Their passion for the Mexican food and casual manner of dining really shines through and each time I eat there I feel really welcome and cared for. All the dishes are amazingly good value and the service is so fast and friendly that I can pop in even if I am pressed for time. I would highly recommend Go Burrito to anyone. There are meat options and vegetarian options and I am vegan and find that there are choices for me too.
GoBurrito – LancasterFantastic food, tasty, fresh, filling - 10/10 - just amazing!! We are regulars and if my purse would allow I would live there! :)
GoBurrito – LancasterBeen munching GoBurrito once or twice a week since the day they opened. Best Mexican food I've had this side of the Atlantic, although I'm not brave/stupid enough to try to "Sink the Titanic" yet. ;)
GoBurrito – LancasterHad a fabulous meal at the Italian Cottage. The menu is authentic and extensive with great fish specials. Wonderful, cosy and stylish with very friendly and helpful staff. !!
Italian Cottage – ChorleyAfter having had it recommended to me by both my son and daughter, we decided to try it today. What a surprise we had, both the service and the food were excellent and the portions very large. My wife only managed half her salad as there was so much of it. My steak and kidney pudding was also very good. The only drawback is that we couldn't have any of the sweet courses as we were too full from the main course. A shame really as they are known for them. Maybe next time it'll be a starter and a sweet. We will be going there again and I can really recommend them.
Sycamore Farm – BurnleyExcellent food and really friendly service. Everyone made welcome.
Yu Yuan City Chinese Restaurant – St HelensWe went there last night for my wife's birthday, and in the first instance WOW! the place in literately a hidden gem, which in turn makes it a more special, as its 'tooked' away, no idiot diners to ruin your meal. The décor is tasteful, modern yet very homely. The staff are all exceptional people, very kind and helpful with gentle humour. The food was amazing with the right amount to your plate, and the value for 10 of us dining left me (the payer) with delight. This is our new restaurant of choice so expect to see us there again soon. A 5* venue.
North Street Indian Restaurant – RawtenstallTook the kids to the St Georges day crawl and was shocked to witness the landlady losing complete control and swearing at customers for feeding their dogs outside (lots of paying guests with dogs annually on this route so really surprising to see someone object?!) and using their phone to call cabs etc, everything but ordering full plates of food infuriated her?! Shrink required!!!!
Smiths Arms – Prestonwhat a shock. came in on st georges night pub crawl, after the landlord didn't hear my order he said "what?" so I repeated and he shouted "Don't speak to me like that!" and the landlady joined in to say " Nobody treats us like dogs!". Errr... shocked! Bad service..............
Smiths Arms – PrestonFood poisoning for two days. Avoid.
