Observatory Pub & Restaurant – BlackburnAnother good meal at the Three Fishes just prior to Christmas. It’s the original one of Northcote’s now four Ribble Valley pubs and for me it’s still the best by some distance. Always seems to be busy and yet the staff are well-drilled and friendly. The fish pie was lovely – as was the bottle of Chablis we had with it – and the pumpkin soup from the seasonal menu was very moreish.
The Three Fishes – ClitheroeI've just had my first experience of, an all you can eat grill and steak house meal. Very impressed with the service, quality and quantity of food for £22. £17 on the early bird menu. Clean, friendly, attentive, delicious food. Could not have asked for more.
Skewers – Chorley(wow) what a Christmas party night we had 16 ladies who enjoyed excellent food, sticky toffee pud to die for!!! entertainment, with a great atmosphere & the service was outstanding. Will be visiting again very soon :) thankyou from all at St. Mary's Sabden.
The Fat Giraffe – BurnleyFood was ok. Service from the staff was very good, however the service from the management was appalling!! the manager couldn't be bothered to come over to speak to us when we were enquiring about Christmas Day lunch. He chose to keep sending his staff member backward and forward from us to him to answer our questions when it was obvious she couldn't help us. we left abruptly after commenting on how hopeless the to-ing and fro-ing was between them. When we left he couldn't even be bothered to say goodbye!! (the bar and restaurant were empty at this time) we will dine elsewhere in the future, even though we are very local to the Butlers. In the current climate i can't believe a business would choose to treat people in this rude and appalling way. Such a shame as it could be an amazing place with the right management running it..
Butlers Arms – BlackburnThe best Indian Restaurant we've ever experienced. Excellent food and fantastic service!! We won't go anywhere else.
Far Pavilion Tandoori Restaurant – CarnforthBeen going to this restaurant since it got taken over about 2 years and I go there around once a month and I most say that its one of the best Indians around. They have a dish called the mark bottomley special in memory of mark bottomoley which you have to try.I
Bay Leaves – ChorleyI cannot explain just how nice this restaurant is. Both food and service are always impeccable. I have taken numerous family members to Tino's and they have all only had good things to say about it. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates an oustanding meal and experience. 10/10
Tinos – PrestonHesketh Arms Rufford Lancashire L40:NOT Recommended Awful Place, Awful Food Awful ServiceWARNING to anyone living around Rufford, not far from Ormskirk, Holmeswood, Mawdesley, Croston or Mere Brow in Lancashire think twice before patronizing the Hesketh Arms Public House
The Hesketh Arms – OrmskirkLove the food and the atmosphere at Hong Sing. I enjoy sitting and eating and listening to the music. The staff are excellent and fast acting when dishes and plates are empty they take them away.
Fabulous place, amazing quality of food, superb traditional home cooked food, staff most friendly indeed, cosy and warm, comfortable dining area, well spaced, not squashed in, (unlike some places) the service excellent. Would recommend without hesitation, first time visitor, and will be a long time customer. Used to visit the derby arms, not any more, the dog has most certainly won us over.
The Dog and Partridge – LongridgeI was recommended this restaurant by my colleague who is familiar face at the Agra..the food was excellent and service was rushed with not so polite manager...this experience was very much rescued by a very experienced waiter, named kahn, who realised our dismay and lightened our mood with his creative manner and hospitality. I mentioned this to my colleague, who confirmed this professional waiter to be of the very highest quality with mannerism to suit. thank you kahn, we will be back !!
Agra Indian Restaurant – BurnleyDined here recently with family. Was greeted with a smile by the very friendly waitresses and shown to a table quickly. Had a seafood chowder and homemade apple crumble, and both of these were absolutely faultless. Felt very full and pleased after the meal. The one thing I did pick up on was the manageress shouting at the waitresses in the dining area. I don't know what happened but I felt it was unprofessional on their part, as the waitress seemed visibly embarrassed. Aside from this, great dining experience 4/5
The Sitting Goose – PrestonA Saturday evening before Christmas is a challenging time for any restauranteur! When we arrived at 7.30 "the joint was already heaving" but well under control. People were definitely enjoying themselves! We were shown to our table promptly and orders taken and served all within reasonable time by cheerful and attentive staff. The meals were excellent and the filet of venison cooked to perfection. Second visit and shall be back.
Mezzo Restaurant & Bar – PrestonHad a meal on Sat 8th Dec 2012. Excellent food and very friendly and attentive staff. Their home made bread was a real treat as an appetiser and starters and main courses were of a very high standard. A very pleasant dining experience indeed. A little gem.
Tottos – PrestonWe have been coming here probably since it opened. We get take out about twice a week and eat in every So often. Food is excellent and all the staff are so friendly. Everyone should try New Year's Eve and believe it or Not Christmas Day. Takes all the stress out of cooking. Keep up the good work. Well done. Mr W.
Shajan – BlackburnJust eaten here can't believe how good it is everything is brand new the menu is fantastic will be back definitley one to try
The Sitting Goose – PrestonWhat a Gem, fantastic atmosphere my husband and I recently visited for the first time with our friends. We were greeted by the landlady who has a genuine friendly bubbly personality, which has obviously rubbed off onto her team. The menu was fantastic, I'm trying to eat reasonably healthy and there was so much choice. The food arrived beautifully presented, nice and hot and the waiters/waitress very polite. The 5 of us all enjoyed the 2 courses that we ordered. Will definitely be visiting again.
