We really enjoyed our choices for lunch at the Stork. I had the South African Pie which was chicken and sweet potato. My wife has the trio of sausages. We ate outside enjoying the sun and lovely views over the countryside!

The Stork Inn – LancasterWe usually really enjoy going to the Clog and Billycock, however, when we went for sunday lunch today, the service was appalling, and we waited at least half an hour for our main course, and the table next to us go their food first, and they ordered after us. very disappointing.
Clog and Billycock – BlackburnVisited this restaurant for the first time with my partner as although it is slightly out of the way for us, the building caught my eye ages ago & on further inspection the menu was full of varied & more imaginative dishes than usual as well as lots of different vegetarian dishes (instead of the usual boring veggie curry, onion bahji etc...). We were not disappointed! The food was excellent & authentic, the service was super speedy, decor was modern & prices were surprisingly reasonable. No alcohol but this was not a problem, as although we do like a drink, the lassi is gorgeous & the food tastes better without alcohol. Will definitely be returning as it is well worth the drive.
Bukhara – PrestonHad a great meal here at the weekend. so good that we are going back this Friday for my mates birthday. Chicken livers to start, which were cooked perfectly which great spices and served on a skillet. For our mains I had the king prawn masala. I ordered the large, ate all the prawns and brought the sauce home. the next day buying more prawns and recreating the dish. My mate had the lamb, although cant remember which but he loved it. with side orders of okra, paneer and chickpeas, potato paratha and chapatis. The venue is uber trendy and always busy. a great atmosphere always awaits. See you on Friday.. 9 out of 10
East Z East – PrestonMy wife and I went for lunch here and can safely say it was one of the best meals we have ever had. The hotel is amazing with beautiful rooms, lovely gardens and Al Fresco dining areas so we will definitely be back, and even though we don't live very far away we will stay over next time!
Gibbon Bridge Hotel – Longridgeexcellent food, with fantastic service, I have been several times and would keep going back. The only time we had any issue was when there was only one chef on a sat night, they did apologise for the wait, and it wasn't quite as theatrical, but still a fantastic evening! If you have never eaten Japanese, don't be put off, it's not all raw fish! But I would recommend trying the Sushi as it is beautiful!
Miyabi Japanese Restaurant – LancasterI truly recommend this restaurant, i am well known for being a very fussy eater, and expecting a very high standard of service yogurt this at Dante
The Halfway House – ChorleyWe've been here four times over the past few months. Both myself & my wife have found the staff very friendly, polite & prepared to make sure any enquiries we have are thoroughly answered. It can get very busy. What we do like is also the taste of the food, though be warned, the portions can be quite big & filling! BTW,there usually seems t be some sort of discount offer involving chiquito,so it's always worth doing some internet searches & getting one of these vouchers.
Chiquito Restaurant and Bar – PrestonTHE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT AS WAS THE ATMOSPHERE AND WOULD RECOMMEND AND WILL BE DOING TO MY FRIENDS
Nando’s – PrestonVisited this restaurant again this week, excellent food & service. We have been several times and standard is always the same - very high. Have dined off al a carte in past but this week had TDH and food was the same high quality with good sized portions. Can't fault anything, give it a try!
Thyme and Plaice – ChorleyThis has got to be the best by far! I am coeliac and have never been treated or greeted so well in a restaurant since I was diagnosed 5 years ago. The food was excellent as was the choice. A very friendly, helpful and value for money meal. We enjoyed the ambience and the atmosphere. What a pleasant surprise we shall certainly be returning soon and I plan to organise a trip over bringing with me folks from the Manchester group of the coeliac society. Thanks Rachael and to all your staff too we had a perfect evening.
The Buck Country Pub – ClitheroeHaving been previously spoiled when living in Halifax with excellent Italian "Da Sandros", I have been in search of at least a half decent one in the Burnley/Fence/Barrowford area for years. Some have come and gone and never been any good. Now to Zio's we hadn't been for 3 years as we thought it fairly poor last time, but recent recommendations have led us to go back, and we have now been back 3 times in as many weeks. Excellent Food, well cooked. Great Service. Need I say any more. Going there again tonight for the starter and pizza/pasta offer for £9.95 mid week deal. Mmmmm
Zio Ristorante – BurnleyDear Buck Inn, we would just like to thank you for a lovely meal again ,we came today without booking and you kindly fit us in.We are never disappointed when we come to your place. Thanks again the metcalfe family.
The Buck Country Pub – ClitheroeMy partner and I both chose the Chicken and Leak pie and it was excellent. Last time I was here it was just a small cafe with a few tables. Now they have extended considerably with a restaurant at the rear. It all has a really nice feel as it is a former Barn and is in rural green surroundings. They have a great little function room which is a stand alone building with its own wood burning oven and 360 views. Well worth a visit.
The Barn at Scorton – PrestonFair play to Papa Luigi's for accommodating our large, noisy (2 screaming toddlers!) party on a Friday night. However, while the food was tasty and well cooked, 2 moans - 1) we weren't offered the option of the advertised Set Menu for £10 - even though we were seated an hour before the offer finished and 2) portions were quite small for the prices, especially some of the vegetarian options (nearly £6 for a small plate of melon slices??!!). I'd advise anyone looking to eat here for a romantic dinner for 2, to stay well clear on a Friday or Saturday night - the place was packed with families and large groups!
Papa Luigis – ChorleyNila is the very best Indian restaurant I've ever had experience of. I've been visiting there over many years although not regularly. The food is always of high quality, the service is excellent and they really care about giving good service. They are all extremely pleasant and courteous. Their food is not overpriced either and if my budget allowed, I would be there every week! Thank you Nila for the pleasant evenings I have had there with my daughter Nicola.
Nila – RawtenstallA very mediocre experience.. The food is average, a little overpriced (the drinks especially so), and the service is not very attentive (my wife had to ask for the correct cutlery for her meal). In addition, the 'optional' service charge was added to the bill, making it a compulsory service charge. Surely it should be up to the customer to decide the value of the service, not the restaurant. Overall, quite disappointing.
Etna Pizza Pasta – LancasterHi Sandra and All the Staff at The Barbon Just wanted to say again 'many thanks for this weekend'.
