Whittles Farm Restaurant – Prestoni like the food
The Farmers Arms – OrmskirkI had never been to a Pizza Express before so I was naturally curious as to why it is so popular, I went here yesterday and I will definitely not be eating there again. I ordered a pasta dish which came out and it was stone cold in the middle, I took it back and got no apology they just put it in the oven and brought it back hot enough to burn my mouth. Not only this but the beer and wine is extortionate and the contempt of the foreign lady when she had to reprint the bill because I had a printed voucher to use was downright rude. The staff here don't give a shit, none of them are English (or Italian) and I simply will avoid any Pizza Express for the rest of my days. One word - shit.
Pizza Express – PrestonEight of us dined here last night to celebrate a 100th birthday. The food was totally delicious and the ambiance calm and relaxing. We were given our own private dining room, which is a nice feature of this particular restaurant. We were served by the absolutely lovely Anna Maria. Nothing was too much trouble. This was only our second visit in quite a long time - I shall make sure that we don't leave it very long before we return.
Amelies – ChorleyWent to the restaurant last night and everything was excellent. There is a lovely atmosphere, the service is efficient and all staff are friendly. The food was gorgeous and last but not least there was a singer and musician who was fantastic .Love this restaurant and found it excellent value for money.
North Street Indian Restaurant – RawtenstallWe have had many lovely visits to EastZEast in Manchester and raved about it , so when we heard one had opened in Preston, nearer to where we live we were pleased. We had the shared starter of fish, samosas, chicken etc which was really tasty and both went for the Lamb Ghosti which was delicious. Although we enjoyed the meal it did not feel like the special experience of EastZEast by the canal in Manchester. When we visit Manchester you are greeted by a man dressed in indian costume who is very friendly and welcoming. In Manchester it feels romantic and relaxed and the staff make it feel a special experience. In EastZEast Preston, it failed to deliver the same experience. We felt very rushed and it was very busy and noisy. We had not even eaten our poppadoms before another plate was shoved next to us and the starter arrived. We also felt pressured to hurry our meal as if they desperately wanted our table. We hate being rushed when we go out for a romantic meal and did not like the atmosphere there, so we will not go back. We will stick with Manchester next time!
East Z East – PrestonI dined here with my husband recently for a late (liquid!) lunch and absolutely loved it. The staff were very attentive and the food amazing. For two courses and a couple of rounds of drinks it came to a reasonable £39. I had great expectations as it is owned by the same people who have Mitton Hall and Emporium. The decor inside was lovely, eclectic but still traditional with a large beer garden to the rear. Will definitely be visiting again.
Waddington Arms – ClitheroeThis is the BEST food i have ever eaten! I have been on holiday all over the world and eaten some brilliant food but this is the best and its just on my door step! Its 100% Clean, 100% quality for money, brilliant selection of drinks at the bar, great service and always a friendly and welcome atmosphere! The best Caribbean food i have ever tasted! all fresh and beautiful. Highly Recommend: The Red Snapper Sea Bass Jerk Chicken Reggae Reggae Lamb Chops I've been a good few times now and every time our table has got something new its all been brilliant so you can pick anything you like!
Calypso Restaurant – BlackburnPaid our first visit to Amelie's with our best friends this lunchtime; it certainly won't be the last. From the minute we walked in the whole experience was a delight. The service was warm, friendly and natural, the ambience was relaxing, the food topnotch and imaginative and beautifully prepared, and the attention to detail was remarkable. Before retiring I worked in the customer service field, so I can be quite critical. Here you sense how customers are valued and that their concern for you is genuine. Thank you for making our visit special.
Amelies – Chorleyabsolutely fabulous service, food, decor, price have already been planning when we can go again and which friends to take a real treat
Amelies – ChorleyYoung or old ,alone, a couple or a party all will enjoy the excellent food - and the genuine welcome afforded to their customers by all the staff. I am not a smoker but am amazed at the smoking area decked out with comfy chairs, cushions, nice tables and a wood fire for the colder times. No lurking about (looking furtive) at the front door for these smokers .The Landlady and Landlord run what must be the best Pub in the area. Everything is clean comfortable and welcoming and last but not least 'as said previously' the food is excellent and for those people whose appetite is not as hearty as it once was there is a lighter bite menu. I feel sure that if you try it you will not be disappointed
Smiths Arms – PrestonI went here last night for a meal with a couple of friends. I've been here twice before and have to say this time the overall night (food & service) seemed so much better i will be returning soon. thank you
Italian Orchard – PrestonRecently enjoyed a fantastic meal at the Yew Tree and also the dulcet tones of a Michael Buble tribute singer. The food and service was so good, I decided to have lunch there as well the day after! It's a must visit if your are in the area.
Yew Tree Inn – ChorleyWe had our daughters christening at Tinos. The function room was lovely, service was excellent and everyone commented on how delicious the food was. Had a fantastic day and would certainly recommend Tinos Restaurant.
Tinos – PrestonHaving been to The Three Fishes at Mitton before, I thought of trying the Clog and Billycock for a change. This meal was nowhere near the same quality as the sister establishment. We had to order our own food at the bar which, considering the prices, was a very strange arrangement. As starters we ordered fish cakes and parsnip fritters. Although the fish cake was tasty the portion was absolutely tiny which was not helped by the lack of an inclusive bread basket. The parsnip fritters were simply deep fried parsnip chunks with what seemed like an off the shelf dip. For mains we ordered Rib Eye Steak which when presented was a very poor cut of meat for the £20 price. Although the steaks were ordered medium-rare they were grossly undercooked and I cannot believe the resident chief was on duty that night. The steak dish did not include any veg and was simply served with chips and onion rings, the mushroom was missing. The other main course, spinach pancakes again, came with absolutely no veg or even a salad garnish. On the positive the wine, beers and coffee were all very good as was the service apart from bar ordering, however food of this quality did not match the price that the dinner cost and I would definitely not recommend the Clog and Billycock.
Clog and Billycock – BlackburnI have eaten at Truffles on countless occasions, and it has always been fantastic. I`m writing this recommendation because i`m going to the Thai night with my friends, and I`m so excited about it that I was reading the menu again and saw this link. Try this restaurant! the food is beautiful, especially the gourmet nights...I promise that you will never have had anything like it. Also,I used to work there so I know that the kitchen is spotless and the food is all fresh and home cooked...right down to the petit fours which I hated making. Anyway, I can`t think of a better recommendation that one from someone who has seen all the goings on and still counts this restaurant as far and away the best. So thank you James is advance for the fantastic meal that we`ll be having on Friday, but no thanks for ensuring that I whinge about every other meal I go out for, as I compare it to those at Truffles.
Truffles – ChorleyWe held our Wedding Reception at Tinos and haven't stopped receiving compliments. As a fussy' bride to be' Tinos were more than accommodating; giving lots of advice and reassurances. Their professionalism shone through on the night and every request was dealt with in a 5 star manner. The chefs laid on what I can only describe as the most stunning mouth watering food that made for an unforgettable Wedding party. The champagne and canape reception was a fabulous start to the evening and set the scene for our Casino themed event. We still can't believe how they delivered a high end service, beyond expectation, at such a reasonable price. If you are looking for a venue for that special occasion then Tinos should be on your shortlist.
Tinos – PrestonHad a really nice lunch at pond today, we chose the chefs tasters absolutely delicious, we had visited duk previously and thought that nothing would be as good but i have to say that both are excellent. I will be recommending both far and wide and i shall look forward to visiting again soon. We are very intrigued by freds shed they say its coming soon it sounds exciting these people are obviously talented and creative with names, i for one cant wait to see what it is.
