Pleasant and warm surroundings. Dropped in for a pot of tea and scone and received a lovely welcome from the owner who has owned the business with her mother for over 50 years.

Copper Kettle – AccringtonI was over from Switzerland to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday and also my sisters 65th in the two weeks I stayed we did visit Mr, Chans restaurant 3 times and I must say the meals we had were very good. Mr.Chan is such a nice person and I know I will be going to eat there again next time I'm over. Thank you very much for 3 lovely evenings and the excellent food.
Went recently as a party of 6 adults & 2 children could not fault the presentation or quality of the food but, when you are paying £16 for a salmon fillet and that's all that come and with no vegetables or potatoes which are extra then it's pricey. Refer to the main menu regarding vegetables & potatoes as it wasn't on the specials menu.
Spread Eagle – ClitheroeGood homely atmosphere with good food & beers at sensible prices. Beware, dogs are allowed into the pub where diners are eating.
Assheton Arms – ClitheroeGood impressions on entering the restaurant as the decor and dining area is stunning. We wanted a drink before we sat down but realised there is no room set aside for this unless you are happy to stand at the bar. Both my partner and I decided on the Sunday lunch special (3 courses for £19.50). Mushroom soup and Goats cheese tart were both very nice and fresh. The two main courses of Haddock/Langoustine gratin and Pork with Apple sauce were satisfactory but not great. Deserts of Stewed rhubarb and the cheeseboard were again satisfactory without being memorable. With the wine we ordered the meal cost £60.00 in total and I am not sure if was value for money. Style over substance springs to mind unfortunately. The staff were excellent and friendly but let themselves down on one point. As we were eating our main course late on a member of staff started cleaning the tables around us. We decided we probably would return at some point as we like to give second chances but we won't rush back.
Clog and Billycock – Blackburnvery good entertainment here went to quiz night on Tuesday good laugh and free food at half time went back on Thursday as had live music well worth a look advert says 3 course Sunday lunch for under a £10 hard to believe going today to try!!!
The Robert Gillow – LancasterThe restaurant decor was quite nice, but the bar was self service and I felt that the price for water and accompaniments was way over the top, considering the prices which were charged for what I found to be quite average food. Overall, the food was ok but not worth what they were asking. In my opinion if someone is happy to pay these prices for Indian food, the Indian gourmet evening at truffles restaurant in whittle-le-woods is definitely superior.
Nellie The Elephant – PrestonYou are guaranteed good food and a warm welcome here. Specials board offers some real treats. If you are passing make a point of stopping and giving it a try. You will go back. We go about once a week and have never had a poor meal. It has the best landlord in Lancashire
Midge Hall – Leylandstylish environment and beautiful food , friendly warm welcoming staff
Peacock Chinese Restaurant – OrmskirkIf you want a great meal and excellent eating experience go to the Shampan, I recommend their Nepali chicken or any of their meals on the menu as they are all prepared and cooked to perfection, the staff, Kal and his team, are the friendliest I have come across. Penworthams finest.
The Shampan – PrestonI go to Heathcote's Longridge fairly regularly, and love it, and then I heard there was this, I thought, kind of stuffy, Michelin starred place down the road. which we thought we should try, sometime. So we did and realised you shouldn't make judgments before you try things. It was a superb eating experience, where I enjoyed a luxurious eating experience. Gentle ,quietly professional service and wonderful food. Astonishing place.
Northcote – Blackburna must visit chippy best chippy in the area
Holt’s Chippy – Nelsonfound this place by chance to-day best value Sunday lunch for a very long time good food great atmosphere very helpful staff and live music
The Robert Gillow – LancasterWent to the cafe in the crypt since change of management and have to say we were thoroughly impressed. Louise is an amazing asset to the front of house and always makes the customers feel very welcome with a smile and a friendly chat. As for the food well it was fantastic very fresh and hot. It thoroughly enlightened our tastebuds, and at under £5 for a main course an absolute steal. We would never have thought you could find a little gem like this in Blackburn town centre. And in such a beautiful setting. Highly recommended to all.
Cafe in the Crypt – BlackburnWent to Valley Cantonese on Easter Sunday 2010 with my wife. Loved our seafood dishes - staff were friendly - portion sizes very generous. Nice to have time to sit and enjoy a meal and not feel as though you are being rushed - unlike restaurants in large Malls who want to clear your table while you are still eating !!!! .
Valley Cantonese – Rawtenstallhad a terrible meal at p&p, i was sick 7 times after visiting and eating cannelloni. will not be going again
Parmesan And Pepper – ChorleyHad lunch at the Copy Nook, after passing it a few times, and we were not disappointed at all, good & varied menu at reasonable prices.
Copy Nook Hotel – ClitheroeIts been several years since we were last at Quattros ( only because we have been out of the country) pleased to say the food is still excellent. My Husband is Italian and food is a passion of his , so for him to spend money going to Quattros is a compliment.
