Naaz is the best Indian ever but get the vindaloo
Naaz Indian Cuisine – PrestonWe love the Sunday buffet.... We like the set menu saves us having to choose! The food is delicious and the staff are very welcoming. It's our favourite Indian restaurant by far!
Agra Indian Restaurant – BurnleyHave been a few times here and only had excellent meals. They will accommodate what you would like to eat even if not on the menu. The place is always friendly and the service efficient.
Checcos – PrestonAbsolutely fantastic! They will accommodate anything - even when not on the menu. Brilliant food, brilliant service and really warm and friendly. We have been a few times now and have only had excellent meals.
Checcos – BlackburnUPDATE - We have visited Angels on many occasions over the past couple of years or so and the high standards Angels set upon opening this classy venue are being maintained. Without exception, the food is delicious, staff attentive and a lovely, relaxed ambience prevails. The last two Christmas Day meals have been superb and a big 'Thank You' must go to the owners, Chef and manager for maintaining high standards - whatever the day!
Angels – PrestonI went to seasons last weekend, the service was excellent as usual, and the food was fantastic. There was a good choice of vegetarian options on request, and the staff made an exotic cocktail and non alcoholic cocktail. Was also a nice surprise when we got the bill, excellent value!
Seasons – ChorleyFreemasons uses to serve delicious sandwiches, however they have taken them off the menu in order to make more profit from their meals. Only meals are served, no light meals at any time-very disappointing. Won't be returning as their meals are too expensive. They've caught the Ribble Valley bug of overpricing!
Freemasons At Wiswell – ClitheroeDreadful. The staff where rude, the service was rushed, the food and drinks where served in a spasmodic way. The bill was incorrect, and when challenged the error was dismissed. Very expensive for average food, we felt like we where unwelcome and the clientele was not what we expected
Angels – PrestonVery poor quality, bland, uninteresting food, staff impolite, quite expensive for the poor quality. Atmosphere OK but I would not recommend- much better Indians available in the area. And finally coleslaw is not a very good accompaniment to popadoms.
Spice Lounge – BlackburnFoods quite good. Made an order for dessert and coffee after main meal. Received coffee before puddings? I politely mentioned to staff that we made an order for sweets and was told we should have asked for coffee to be served after this pudding order(not in the most pleasant of terms). This attitude upset my mother who i was taking for lunch as we don't see each other often. When she also made a complaint about this attitude to the deputy manager he did his best to talk over my mother and refused to let her speak to the main manager. As this complaint was being made i was greeted by smug smiles by the waitress who i spoke to first regarding this matter. We cancelled the order and left the premises. We had recommended this restaurant to many friends in the past but wont be doing that again and we will not spend our money in a place were the staff made a point of giving us bad service on any occasion in the future.
Clog and Billycock – BlackburnI can not recommend Tinos high enough, from arriving the staff were all very nice and welcoming, the food was fantastic, we had a very enjoyable evening in a lovely setting. We will most definitely be returning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tinos – Prestonlove this place and staff very friendly go there whenever i can
Naseeb Tandoori House – PrestonThis is by far the worst chip shop I have ever visited, the staff pleasant enough, the food disgraceful We ordered fish & chips twice, upon arriving home, the smell of the fish was rancid... when cutting into the fish - it was black - / brown fish - the smell was awful. The fish was cooked upon ordering, so he may of fried it fresh, however it was rotten old fish, 20,000 league below I imagine!!! I returned the West End Chippy -with the two portions of rancid fish, upon reviewing the menu I noticed that the menu no longer lists haddock or cod - just fish £3.40!!! I told him the fish smelt awful, is black inside and is most definitely rotten, he went on to tell me its silver hake the best fillet you could buy, I was surprised at the level of his lie!! WEST END CHIPPY - YEARS AGO WAS GREAT - TODAY TERRIBLE -
West End Fish Bar – PrestonWent to the windmill in the past and it was ok, but not been since it as changed hands, so my wife daughter and i went last night 5th/01/2011 and the choice on the menu was great, the food was great the service was great, so if you want top food at a good price check it out
Windmill Hotel – BlackburnVisited the Italian Cottage on a Thursday evening with three friends, looking forward to a good old goss and great food. We certainly were not disappointed by the food and the value was even better choosing from the three course "cheaper" option. However the night was ruined by anxious staff desperate to get home at 9.45, making it obvious that our time was up!! and there was me thinking Thursday was the new Friday. We ordered further drinks following our meal which was an obvious annoyance to the staff they stood around watching for any indication for us leaving. In this current climate where relying on punters that are going to spend some dosh one would think this cosy little restaurant in a back street of cosmopolitan Chorley would be eager to offer further drinks with eagerness and flair. On leaving the restaurant the a member of staff quoted on her phone " they're leaving now so come in two minutes" Well we were leaving, not to return!!!
Italian Cottage – ChorleyWe chose a quiet night as it can get busy at weekends. Cannot complain about the food, price or service. Enjoy the beer as it is well served in this establishment. A place you could comfortably stay for the whole evening.
Plough At Eaves – PrestonJust been for a meal not having been for years and since the refurbishment. The food was excellent and good portions! I had the chicken livers which were to die for plus the Rogan Josh curry and chips. fab!
Smiths Arms – PrestonExcellent! Eaten here several times - always very high standard. Welcoming, friendly, great atmosphere and nothing too much trouble! Also do gift vouchers!
