Food was ok, value for money not bad but it's got a long way to go to reach premiere and Shagor standards and quality.

Shapla Restaurant – BurnleyOMG! Our first visit to Calypso but it definitely won't be our last. The food was amazing! We came on recommendation from a friend and Wow we werent disappointed. Our night was made even more enjoyable by the young waiter called Niall who is an absolute credit to the restaurant. We are now in the process of organizing a girls night out and will be returning very soon!! Cant wait!
Calypso Restaurant – BlackburnNot only does the beaumont have very good food, the beer if you are a real ale fan is the best in Clayton le Woods bar none.
The Beaumont – ChorleyHad a buffet there and it was pretty poor. Excellent meat pies, 7 nice buttered new potatoes but as for the rest not very good it even included Birdseye chicken dippers unbelievable.
The Olde English Kiosk – DarwenGreat home-cooked food, good choice of beers and great atmosphere! Also dog-friendly which was an added bonus!
Sea View Inn – ChorleyBeen twice recently can't praise enough the friendly atmosphere, attentive staff and excellent food. Fillet steak was cooked perfectly and good price too. Sunday lunches are great and portion size huge, have recommended to all and sundry, well done.
The Village Inn – PrestonPopped in after a film this very night, had been meaning to visit for some time as I picked up a taste for Mexican(esque) food during visits to the States. Went for a large pulled pork burrito, and overall it was good. The meat was lean and tasty, though I felt it could have been a little spicier (I know to add some chipotle next time) and the rest of the fillings were well balanced. Service was efficient and even though they had another large order underway, I was still in and out within around 5 minutes. Only slight disappointment was having gone for and devoured the large burrito, I wasn't full. All in all a nice change from the standard fast food norm, will definitely go back and am hoping the menu includes some other Mexican favourites in the future.
GoBurrito – Lancasterstuck in the 80s totally dull uninspired
Mangiamo – DarwenI cafe, I found it very clean and a great service. Will call again soon because there is free wi-fi connection. Thanks .
I Cafe – BlackburnVery disappointing on last visit – found a black hair in my korma, informed the waiter who just denied any responsibility and even suggested it could be one of mine – very poor customer service and hygiene
Spice Of Bengal – PrestonVisited tonight for the first time. Top class food great enthusiastic staff, great busy atmosphere. Wonderful a lift to the first floor restaurant so I know we can go back again and take Dad easily. Would recommend without concern. Scallops cooked to perfection, duck pink as requested and my husband would have eaten his meal twice at least it was so delicious. Will go there again soon.
The Blue Mallard – OrmskirkWe have just been for a wonderful meal at the Hospital Inn. I chose gammon and my husband had rib-eye steak. I can honestly say that both meals were of an exceptionally high quality, piping hot and delicious. Even the garden peas were hot-something I have never ever encountered before whilst dining out over many years! It might sound silly but I expect my food to be hot-all of it (including the peas!) The service was excellent and I would highly recommend dining here as it does not disappoint. Thank you we really enjoyed our meals xx
Hospital Inn – PrestonExcellent food
Observatory Pub & Restaurant – BlackburnYes there were 4 of us had a meal. Wanted to stay for dance!
The Baku Lounge – PrestonReally liked the modern decor in this new restaurant. Saturday night was busy and buzzing. Really excellent food freshly cooked in open kitchen. Will definitely return.
Mezzo Restaurant & Bar – PrestonHad a wonderful meal here yet again. Never been let down yet, it is the best Italian round here. The food is excellent as is the service we received. Can recommend.
Wellington Park – LeylandThe second venue from the family that own Ninos in Rawtenstall. They know how to make a beautiful space to dine in. This one housed in a former pub is in a great location with commanding rural views over Burnley and Pendle. Its a combination of upmarket Italian and country pub and it works! Popped in for lunch and had a gorgeous pizza. Want to try again for a full on feast. They have wifi so it definitely beats my office for a bit of work. A fantastic addition to the Lancashire dining scene.
Fighting Cocks Inn – BurnleyWe have been about 5 times now and on each occasion the food has been superb and on several occasions the portions were so filling we couldn't finish our main course. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Would I recommend Langs you bet I would.
