Midge Hall – LeylandBrilliant food. Claims to be Mediterranean but is a good mix of Greek Turkish and Italian. Menu has a good range and prices are excellent. The quality of the food is very good indeed but beware - some portions are huge! Above all the staff were brilliant. Charming, helpful and very friendly. A great value little local restaurant.
Tottos – PrestonThe food was average but restaurant was busy for mid week and the 2 waitress where very busy and 2nd drinks where slow in coming and even had to be reminded. At the end if our meal we asked for the bill (135) one of our party (6ppl) had hardy touch her pizza so we asked for a box the young waitress said they don't do that...i went to speak the the owner to my surprise he was rude, abusive and
Antonello’s – LeylandBad food, bad service and very bad and arrogant management! Would never go again.
Antonello’s – LeylandWe eat Indian food at least once a week. Living in the Manchester area we are used to excellent quality (Akbar's in Manchester for instance). We found ourselves in Darwen on taxiing duties for 15 year old party girl so researched in advance. Absolutely excellent food & service. Lovely atmosphere & decor. We chose chicken tikka puri, prawn puri followed by a balti & vindaloo. Faultless food. Highly recommended.
Anaz Indian Restaurant – DarwenHad a superb lunch today; the sun was crackin' flags, I was near Lancaster, so it was an obvious choice for lunch - the Stork. Fabulous steak sandwiches, excellent value for wonderful home-cooked healthy fare - delicious home cooked fat chips. As always, the staff were most attentive, exuding an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation. A stunningly beautiful building, in a great position - makes a working lunch seem like a slice of Heaven. Many thanks to all who work there - a definite recommendation.
The Stork Inn – LancasterI've been to Antonello's quite a few times, but the last visit was not great. In a party of 11, one dish (the risotto) was very poor and bordering on inedible mainly due to it being completely overcooked. Having returned the dish and not accepted the offer of a replacement I was surprised to see it on the bill. When this was queried there was a refusal to remove it from the bill. The bill was settled, but I've had the privilege of paying for an inedible risotto. If you are to visit Antonello's, stick to the pizza.
Antonello’s – LeylandSet in a beautiful old church the tea room is very welcoming and has a lovely atmosphere. I had a beautiful salad which is a favourite of mine. i have had the same salad in France and this one was even better ., I would happily recommend the tea rooms.
Holden Wood Tearooms at Holden Wood Antiques – RawtenstallCan't fault this restaurant they can't do enough to help and the food s magnificent would recommend to all put on your to do last you will not be disappointed I would also try their hand made chocolates stunning ! Think they should sell them to go too
Duk-Pond – Prestonfab food here went for vday meal with bf . best curry I've had :)
The Hyatt – ChorleyDisgusting attitude and customer service from the Landlady, my meal very poor and tasteless and were overcharged for food we never ordered...upon complaint received no apology and absolute barrage of abuse from her...shameful in front of her other Customers...avoid at all costs!
The Farmers Arms – OrmskirkWe made our second visit here a couple of weeks ago and once again the food was fantastic and not at all over priced. I love the amazing black pudding in filo pastry starter!
Gibbon Bridge Hotel – LongridgeLovely place - definitely will recommend
Black Lane Ends – ColneVisiting area and was told about Balti Stan,Brilliant evening!Excellent Food!Extraordinary service!Highly recommended...will be back hopefully.
Balti Stan – AccringtonAttended with group of 18. Food was excellent, and prices are very reasonable. Staff are very welcoming and all round great experience
Calypso Restaurant – BlackburnReally was superb. Lovely warm welcome, all the staff were great. The food was very good and just that bit different with plenty of choice.Fantastic ambiance - just like being on holiday in Italy where they always seem to have time for everyone young or old. The decor is pretty nice too.It reminded me of the Lake Garda region.

The Stork Inn – Lancasteri visited the ship on recommendation, how disappointed i was when on a Friday night only half the menu was available,i ordered the pork belly with cider gravy which was burnt on the bottom,my wife had the gammon which was ok.when i asked if the chef had worked for raymond blanc, the barmaid replied he'd left, come on ship get it together
