The Robert Gillow – LancasterWent to the cafe in the crypt since change of management and have to say we were thoroughly impressed. Louise is an amazing asset to the front of house and always makes the customers feel very welcome with a smile and a friendly chat. As for the food well it was fantastic very fresh and hot. It thoroughly enlightened our tastebuds, and at under £5 for a main course an absolute steal. We would never have thought you could find a little gem like this in Blackburn town centre. And in such a beautiful setting. Highly recommended to all.
Cafe in the Crypt – BlackburnWent to Valley Cantonese on Easter Sunday 2010 with my wife. Loved our seafood dishes - staff were friendly - portion sizes very generous. Nice to have time to sit and enjoy a meal and not feel as though you are being rushed - unlike restaurants in large Malls who want to clear your table while you are still eating !!!! .
Valley Cantonese – Rawtenstallhad a terrible meal at p&p, i was sick 7 times after visiting and eating cannelloni. will not be going again
Parmesan And Pepper – ChorleyHad lunch at the Copy Nook, after passing it a few times, and we were not disappointed at all, good & varied menu at reasonable prices.
Copy Nook Hotel – ClitheroeIts been several years since we were last at Quattros ( only because we have been out of the country) pleased to say the food is still excellent. My Husband is Italian and food is a passion of his , so for him to spend money going to Quattros is a compliment.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkOn Thursday 1st April we had our first meal at Truffles Restaurant. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and wanted to go somewhere local, but also somewhere different. We had seen a sample menu, and thought the meals sounded very appealing. Our first impression of the restaurant was very good. It was modern, contemporary, but also felt comfortable and inviting, and the lighting was perfect! We couldn't have been more impressed by every single part of our experience. The food was beautifully presented, and was perfect in quality and flavour, and we were so impressed by the friendly, personal service given all the way through the meal by Kat, the waitress and James, the Owner/Chef. We left the restaurant after a couple of delightful hours, and have promised ourselves to go back again very soon. We can't believe that such a fantastic restaurant has been right on our doorstep, without us realising it before! Many thanks, James, for a lovely evening! Margaret and Dave Baker.
Truffles – ChorleyThe Viceroy is a typical Indian restaurant that serves excellent food and god fast service. The staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Myself and my family have been eating at the Viceroy for quite a few years and I have never had a bad or mediocre meal here. We are not short of restaurants in Leyland and this one is well worth adding to your favorites. Thoroughly recommended.
The Viceroy – LeylandI don't know why Nino's is regarded so highly. It has a great atmosphere I can't deny but the food is so so. An average menu choice and the food is below par.
Nino’s Rawtenstall – Rawtenstallwe recently visited this establishment for a birthday party. we booked the table for 8pm and did not sit down at our table until 910 pm, whilst may I add it was still being set. There were 9 in our party and they sat 8 of us at the table and the 9th member had to sit on the next table all be it attached but they could not join in any proper conversation. They then brought the plates which were cold and started to dish, they were informed that a steak and chips was missing and also a single portion of chips, also one meal came cold and was returned to kitchen. It was quite evident that they could not cope wit the great numbers of customers they were receiving that night I would not recommend anyone visit this restaurant for a meal in the near future, oh and to add, the member of our party was given her meal in a box to take away steak chips and 5 peas ...lol
Balti Stan – AccringtonJust got back from a shopping trip to Bolton. Dropped on la Salsa. What can I say. Wonderful lunch time all you can eat. Great service nice surroundings. Fantastic value for money. Highly recommended, well done La Salsa.
La Salsa – DarwenVery disappointing. Waited nearly an hour for poppadoms, then they brought the starters with them. Mixed up curry sauces on two dishes, one hot, the other mild. Poor service, small portions and over priced. Would not go again. There are far better Indian restaurants in the area.
Balti House – Blackburnme and the wife had a meal last night heard good things so thought we try very busy for a wed night starter was good but main meal was shocking had steak at £14.00 which is not a lot but would rather pay double then i could eat it it was all fat and paper thin the worst sirloin ever, had better in a cafe staff where all English and not helpful did not ask if meal was OK etc just took the money no thanks will not be going back i think ever rather have a pizza from takeaway poor!
Francos – AccringtonI have been eating at the Midge Hall for four years now and NEVER had a bad experience. There is always a great welcome, the staff are friendly and efficient and the Landlord is a great host. The food is good honest pub food, cooked fresh to order and they do real chips. Great Value - the portions are HUGE
Midge Hall – LeylandWe visit this establishment quite often. They have recently changed the menu but still offer value for money meals - 2 MD for £7.95 (MD= Meal Deals) which i think is very good. Varied Choice, excellent quick service, meals coming piping hot and are good. Atmosphere of pub is good, shows all the big football games etc which is a must on a Saturday! Would highly recommend trying it won't be disappointed
Hare and Hounds – AccringtonWe recently visited the Red Pump Inn for lunch, and I have to say that the standard of the food was amongst the best I have ever tasted - restaurants included. After reading all the recommendations I naturally expected the meal to be good. However, it surpassed my expectations by far.. It was perfectly presented and the sheer taste was to die for. A wonderful lunchtime experience, due without doubt to an exceptional chef. I would give the meals 9 out of 10, no question about it. A great experience and one not to be missed. The standard of food by far exceeds what one would expect from a public house.
The Red Pump Inn – Clitheroerecommendation i don't think so,i have never eaten food fit for a dog but ETNA,s managed it over cooked pasta with passata sauce i can manage better at home want stodgy cheep Asda bought pizza basses you've got it (owner admitted most things bought from ASDA) over priced cheap wine most of the wine purchased from ALDI (it says so on back of bottle) thank you ETNA,s for the worst food ever and the owner is quite happy to admit the food is "CRAP" so there goes really never never eat here this is the most honest review about this crappy hole
Etna Pizza Pasta – LancasterDuke of York date visited 27th Feb 2010. Our party of 4 was looking forward to sampling the really good food we have had on previous visits to this restaurant, how wrong we were. The presentation of the food is first class it's just the portions were very small & miserly compared to the previous meals we've had here and as such the depth of flavour just didn't come through with the food. This was a memorable meal all for the wrong reasons, don't get me wrong I will complement restaurants when I've had a good meal but, this left all of us empty in both stomach & pocket £140, starving. It was a good a job we had lunch in Haworth earlier in the day. When we got back to our cottage we had to put a couple of pizza's in the oven, not a good advert. The following day we went to the Waddington Arms for Sunday lunch and came out of there a good deal fuller and at 1/2 the price. Will be a long time before we think of going to the Duke of York again.
