NOT CONSISTANT, & BEAR IN MIND THIS IS THE ONLY INDIAN IN DARWEN TO BE PROSICUTED ALTHOUGH A FEW YEARS AGO FOR FOOD HYGENE
Anaz Indian Restaurant – Darwenrevolting food, unpleasant atmosphere, rude waiters, no care for the customers, never will come again
The Shampan – PrestonThis is the best venue for service , food, bar stock and atmosphere, very child friendly and perfect for a romantic meal or family party or wedding. The value for money is amazing, and second to none for service. Merry Christmas Zack and Catherine.
Wellsprings Inn Pendle Hill – Clitheroefood bad, service ok shame about owner food prices crazy
Seasons – Chorleysorry not very good, very oily and very small fish . over priced won't go back
Albion Street Chippy – NelsonWent for the office Xmas lunch last week and the food was wonderful. Lovely Country Pub, good service and they don't skimp on portion sizes. Recommend to anyone.
The Walton Arms – AccringtonABSOLUTUELY gorgeous food, menu choices and good drinks selection. Nice to see so many drinks on draught. Recommend the Nepali - my boyf had it and we are going tonight and I will be ordering that. The sizzling tikka platter also great though Nepali had the edge. 110% yummi. Good service and nice ambience in the restaurant. A hidden jewel and better than the rest in the locality and further afield no doubt about it. Dee-licious.
The Shampan – PrestonExcellent Jalfrezi served with style and professionalism in a spotless and contemporary environment. Really liked the warm way all the staff greeted each other with a hug in the Muslim way. Its BYO too so save a wad on booze mark ups!
Balti House – BlackburnJust enjoyed an excellent work Christmas lunch, 3 courses for £15.50. All the food was excellent , beautifully presented. Service was attentive. Our party of 18 highly recommend this venue and look forward to visiting again the future
Fusion Room – PrestonI have been to the shajan last saturday (12th Decemeber) and i have got to say the service ad food is fantastic! the whole restaurant was packed to the seems and i thought my girlfriend and I would never get to sit down when we first arrived. However to my great surprise and pleasure we were sat down on a table within 20 minutes where we were given menu's and drinks! The young manager there was fantastic he took our drink orders and our food order and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. He also allowed us to change many things on our order which we could not normally do at any other restaurant for example i wanted my Makhani chicken madras hot with chop chillis in it and he said that wasn't a problem. The starters and main courses came quickly and we were not waiting very long at all, the food was AMAZING i have been all over the country tasting curries and i must say this place has got to be on top. The atmosphere is great the service and staff are just so perfect i can not wait to go back.
Shajan – BlackburnParty of 20 just before Xmas 2008. Food brilliant, not your usual fast food pub food. Worth the slightly expensive price tag to get a meal you enjoy in a good atmosphere. Staff very friendly and welcoming. We are all going back for more in Dec 2009.
Smiths Arms – PrestonWe have been dining with The Shajan for 11 years. It's a 70 mile round trip but we know that when we get there we will be treat like royalty and the food will be consistently fantastic! We live near 'The Curry Capital' but we have NEVER found an Indian Restaurant that could knock The Shajan off this extremely high pedestal that it so deserves to perch on!! I wish Zabi would come back from Bangladesh though.
Shajan – BlackburnI booked a table for our Writers Inc. Christmas social and we enjoyed our evening there last night. It was superb, efficient, polite and attentive waiters/waitresses without them being intrusive. Food at exactly the right temperature, cooked to perfection.Beautifully presented and reasonably/sensibly priced for a restaurant of such a classy calibre. I would definitely go there again and would highly recommend a visit to the most discernible 'foodie'. The tables were nicely set, pristine and the atmosphere was vibrant but, not noisy.
Tinos – Prestonhi all, i went to the well springs with 6 of my family 3 young boys , one whose birthday it was, what a good night, food superb, the well springs does it once again, good management or what, and don't forget the cook ,whoever you are, well done. plenty of children there but you don't seem to hear them, they must be to busy eating. well done to all at the well springs, and a merry Christmas from the duffy, sears, family.
Wellsprings Inn Pendle Hill – ClitheroeWhat a wonderful place. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone. Excellent food, helpful, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere.
The Sirloin Inn – Prestoni cant believe i have not been back here for 6 months, will have to sort my life better. my family and i love it, it,s my grandsons 12th birthday today and we are booked in at the wellsprings again. the food is soooo good, staff lovely, it will be all decked out ready for Christmas as well, we cant fault it. and buy one get one free for your main meal is a bonus,
Wellsprings Inn Pendle Hill – ClitheroeI recently visited The Yew Tree Inn with some friends. Without exception, we were all disappointed with our experience and unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant. We waited almost an hour after placing our orders before we were invited to a table. When we were served, we had to ask after some minutes for our vegetables and potatoes which appeared to have been forgotten. The quality of cooking and presentation was poor, two of us receiving hard and burned food. The kitchen is open to the restaurant leaving our clothes smelling of greasy cooking odours.
Yew Tree Inn – ChorleyGreat Land is superb! My wife and I have been going there since Simon and Ying moved there from there former restaurant Bejing, (formerly Man Ying) The whole family are a joy to be with and the food is the best ever!
