Fantastic coffee shop! Best cappuccino and mocha around, beats Starbucks or Costa any day. Lovely freshly made sandwiches and paninis. Very friendly place.

Coffee at The Carrington Centre – ChorleyI had a fantastic meal at The Plough, the choice on the menu is fantastic, and the option to personalise your meal with your own choices of sides is inspired. the atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting, the food excellent, the staff attentive but unobtrusive and its all great value for money. I would thoroughly recommend a night at the Plough, and will definitely be returning myself as soon as I get the opportunity! 10 out of 10!!
The Plough at Lupton – Kirkby LonsdaleA great addition to the Lancaster restaurant scene: locally-sourced food, cooked to perfection; simple but relaxed decor; friendly service with just the right amount of attentiveness. A 'must try' if you enjoy good food.
Meeting House Restaurant – LancasterWent for dinner last night with my husband and it was as always superb, the staff are so friendly and the menu is great sooooo much choice we both opted for food off the specials menu and was not disappointed my husband ordered Arabic Grill and i opted for the surf and surf fillet steak was one of the most delicious meals we have eaten in a long long time. It isn't the cheapest but you pay for quality and is definitely worth every penny.
Seasons – ChorleyI have been to Truffles on many occasions and have found it to be the only consistently good restaurant in my area. I believe that this is because the owner James is also the chef, and is always there. He even personally comes to the table to ask if everything is satisfactory. The food is always wonderful, and doesn`t seem to be as expensive as other restaurants that produce the same type of menu. I have also heard wonderful things about the gourmet nights, but I have yet to try one. I will keep you posted!
Truffles – Chorleyye man boss curry house
The Viceroy – LeylandAn absolutely amazing place we were recommended by friends and have never looked back since. The food is amazing, they with even cook a dish to your liking. You tell them what sort of herbs & spices you like and they will cook up a dish to suit you, WOW!! The wine menu is faultless and covers all tastes. Prices are very reasonable, especially when you look at the service you receive, the staff are so friendly and nothing too much trouble. We visit this restaurant as often as we can.
North Street Indian Restaurant – Rawtenstallmyself and family have been going to this restaurant for many, many years. Superb food. Owner and staff very helpful and friendly. would highly recommend.
Great Village – BlackburnThe Plough is the ‘sister hotel’ to the Punchbowl @ Crosthwaite. The food, as you would expect, is excellent. There is a real freedom of choice with the menu - the 'small plates' are exactly as they say which means you can order lots of different starters! The 'grills' menu has a great choice and you order your 'sides' separately which means you have a great choice and it is REALLY good value. There is a great atmosphere, the staff are excellent... what more can I say. A great night out - 10 out of 10
The Plough at Lupton – Kirkby LonsdaleWe tasted La Rocca pizzas once and since then can't imagine buying anyone else's. We wouldn't even think about having a change of venue. The pizzas are simply sublime.... Arturo is a genius when it comes to pizzas and his Pollo alla Crema is extremely addictive served with steamed broccolli, carrots and Italian style roasted baby potatoes in rosemary. Our daughter is stuck between her two favourites - Spaghetti alla Carbonara or the handmade Tortellini alla Crema. And as for the ice creams - obviously homemade to a high standard, creamy and luxurious and the flavours change frequently. The sorbets are also wonderful but a sorbet is still a sorbet in the end and not a custard/cream based ice cream so choose thoughtfully. If we can't make it in we order and collect. We wish them every success and hope that they will continue to do what they do best and that is bring a taste and feel of Italy to Chorley.
La Rocca – ChorleyI ate at the forum yesterday, it was one of the worst meals I have ever had. Ordered hummous to start (pitta bread was like cardboard and hummous had little taste), then chicken noodles (oily and tasted re-heated). The service wasn't great at all, upon collecting the plates, my friend's fork was accidentally knocked onto her silk dress. We received an apology but it could have been a lot better. I would not eat here again. I had intended to eat at Moka and think the forum staff should go here for a meal and learn a few things about customer service and good food. I am not often this disappointed by a meal - its was awful.
FORUM – PrestonI visited on a Monday afternoon around 12:30 not expecting much really as it was just a place to get a quick bite to eat, I thought. The menu was varied and different with all kinds of wonderful dishes to choose from. Service and food was excellent and would definitely recommend this lovely little place. I say little but actually there's a small courtyard to the rear and an upstairs in addition to the front of the bar to eat. I chose to sit in the courtyard and as it was early lunch time we were on our own. I noticed ash trays on the tables so maybe smokers take advantage of this when eating there. I was seated by the kitchen window and I could hear the chef calling service and bossing his kitchen, you could definitely tell he had pride in his job. The courtyard had a holiday feeling but I wouldn't of sat there if there were smokers in there. Overall it was excellent, good food, service and atmosphere. I will definitely visit as soon as I can again but in the evening this time.
Seasons – ChorleyWe really enjoyed our choices for lunch at the Stork. I had the South African Pie which was chicken and sweet potato. My wife has the trio of sausages. We ate outside enjoying the sun and lovely views over the countryside!
The Stork Inn – LancasterWe usually really enjoy going to the Clog and Billycock, however, when we went for sunday lunch today, the service was appalling, and we waited at least half an hour for our main course, and the table next to us go their food first, and they ordered after us. very disappointing.
Clog and Billycock – BlackburnVisited this restaurant for the first time with my partner as although it is slightly out of the way for us, the building caught my eye ages ago & on further inspection the menu was full of varied & more imaginative dishes than usual as well as lots of different vegetarian dishes (instead of the usual boring veggie curry, onion bahji etc...). We were not disappointed! The food was excellent & authentic, the service was super speedy, decor was modern & prices were surprisingly reasonable. No alcohol but this was not a problem, as although we do like a drink, the lassi is gorgeous & the food tastes better without alcohol. Will definitely be returning as it is well worth the drive.
Bukhara – PrestonHad a great meal here at the weekend. so good that we are going back this Friday for my mates birthday. Chicken livers to start, which were cooked perfectly which great spices and served on a skillet. For our mains I had the king prawn masala. I ordered the large, ate all the prawns and brought the sauce home. the next day buying more prawns and recreating the dish. My mate had the lamb, although cant remember which but he loved it. with side orders of okra, paneer and chickpeas, potato paratha and chapatis. The venue is uber trendy and always busy. a great atmosphere always awaits. See you on Friday.. 9 out of 10
East Z East – PrestonMy wife and I went for lunch here and can safely say it was one of the best meals we have ever had. The hotel is amazing with beautiful rooms, lovely gardens and Al Fresco dining areas so we will definitely be back, and even though we don't live very far away we will stay over next time!
Gibbon Bridge Hotel – Longridgeexcellent food, with fantastic service, I have been several times and would keep going back. The only time we had any issue was when there was only one chef on a sat night, they did apologise for the wait, and it wasn't quite as theatrical, but still a fantastic evening! If you have never eaten Japanese, don't be put off, it's not all raw fish! But I would recommend trying the Sushi as it is beautiful!
