very friendly staff absolutely fantastic food and there's always a happy atmosphere
Original Farmers Arms – ChorleyLast time we visited took a party of six i recommended the steak pudding which we all had and everybody was very disappointed.
My girlfriend and i have been here on several occasions it has always been fantastic food and well worth the journey.
The Black Horse – ChorleyWe live in Thornton, both retired and spend most of our spare time looking for good restaurants - the Italian Orchard is by far our favourite because of the atmosphere, value for money and choice
Italian Orchard – PrestonArrived at 2 on easter Monday and there was still a 20-minute wait. Just goes to show that if you do things right people will come, no matter where it is. Good comfort food sourced from local suppliers served efficiently in pleasant surroundings. Not rocket science but you have to wonder why so few pubs get it right. Recommended -- along with sister pub The Three Fishes near Clitheroe.
The Highwayman – Kirkby LonsdaleThis is a lovely old pub with great food and a great atmosphere. For those of you with children it is child friendly and the kids meals are all home cooked and not your usual frozen rubbish. Highly recommended, gets busy though so reserve or get there early.
The Stork Inn – LancasterAbsolutely fantastic food at a reasonable price. Very varied menu and a great atmosphere.
Original Farmers Arms – ChorleyWe live in Blackpool where there is no shortage of Italians but regularly make the trip out to the Italian Orchard. Food is good and a great choice with the main a la carte to go off as well as a long list of specials. Same applies to the wine. Service efficient but the clincher is the atmosphere -- despite being massive it's always busy and there is always a real buzz here which is just what you want from an Italian (Tiggis in St Annes is similar in terms of the buzz). Great for the kids too with loads of space to run around outside as well as a play area. Only slight downer is the noise from the M6 which runs right past the restaurant but once you are inside you don't notice anyway.
Italian Orchard – PrestonLovely place, exceptional atmosphere and lovely food. Worth a visit
Duke of York – ClitheroeI am a regular at Antonellos and enjoy te food, atmosphere, service and the price is very reasonable at weekends and even more so in the week when the price is only £2.99 for any pizza or pasta. The food has always been very tasty and there are not many restaurants where you are able to get starters, mains and wine all for under £20. Highly recommended.
Antonello’s – LeylandThis isn't exactly a restaurant, more of a tearoom. It's only open 10-5, and serves snacks and sandwiches as well as light meals. It is the cakes that are the best part of this cafe, I believe they're all made locally and they taste great. The ambience is a little dark, but is quite cottage-like. It is self-service but the staff were friendly and helpful.
RSPB Leighton Moss Tea Room – CarnforthExcellent food and service all at a reasonable price. My all time favourite Indian restaurant!!
The Viceroy – LeylandConsistently top class in every department. Full marks.
Nino’s Rawtenstall – RawtenstallFood is excellent, brilliant service. I have visited this restaurant about a dozen times - not had a bad experience yet! Got my recommendation.
Italian Orchard – Prestoni went to the hartwood for i meal it was very busy but apart from that the food was disgusting the vegetables where cold, and the potatoes where hard which they hadn't been boiled for long enough they was uncooked, the dessert was very small and also the food was very expensive.
Hartwood The – ChorleySix of us dined at the Yew Tree last night, on our first ever visit, and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. This attractive old inn is extremely warm and welcoming, with excellent service, a wide ranging menu to suit all tastes, and delicious food at fair prices. Congratulations to the management and chef for sourcing high quality ingredients and preparing and presenting them so beautifully and to the waiting staff for service with a smile. A first class place for a relaxed meal out. We will most definitely be going back.
Yew Tree Inn – ChorleyFANTASTIC!!! My wife and I dined with three other couples a few months back. Firstly, eight of us turned up to the Houghton restaurant after booking at the other Thyme restaurant in longridge. It was a very busy Saturday night but they didn't turn us away, they sat us in the bar area (Small but sufficient) and offered us drinks whilst they sorted things out. We were worried looking at how busy it was that there would be a long wait but they managed somehow to sort a table out after about ten minutes. This was fine by me as it gave me time to look through the mouth-watering menu and enjoy my tanqueray gin and tonic (served to perfection by the young gentleman on the bar who later impressed us with his wine-serving skills). Secondly i'd like to mention that before I went to the restaurant I read the reviews on this site. I had before tried to book a table (At the hoghton restaurant and had not been able to get a table as it was so busy. only one of the couples had been before and they said it was great. reading the views i got a mixed impression of what i was to expect. Some great comments followed by some worrying signs. Incorrect glassware and no atmosphere! I was totally blown away with how wrong these comments were. Every table had both a red and a white glass in every place and the retaurant was bustling away with a great atmosphere. I too thought the wine menu was a little short and a little on the cheaper side. When i mentioned this too the young gentleman who was about to serve the wine I had chosen, he explained that a premier wine list was in the works and listed the premium bottels of wine that they stocked. he knew his stuff and chose a fantastic bottle of wine for me and my brother-in-law to share. All the staff were well presented and truly were an asset to the restaurant. I have been told that there is a cut down version of the menu that isn't available on a saturday but is a great price. i had absoulutely no issue with the price and was infact supprised to pay so little. one of the couples in our party had a hi-life card and they got a meal for free which seems generous enough.
