Farmers Arms The – PrestonFantastic Weekend. It was everything we ever dreamed of. Many thanks to Joanne and David, love Emma and Stephen Walsh. (Wedding on 3rd December)
Pendle Inn – BurnleyBOTH LINDA, MYSELF, OUR FRIENDS, OUR BUSINESS CUSTOMERS AND FAMILY HAVE ALL DINED AT THE RAILWAY AND IN FACT LINDA AND MYSELF DINE THERE AT LEAST ONCE IF NOT TWICE A WEEK. I CANT SPEAK HIGHLY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS VENUE. THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND CANT DO ENOUGH FOR YOU. IF YOU HAVENT TRIED THIS PLACE YOUR MISSING OUT.GREAT MENU AND ALWAYS VARIOUS SPECIALS AVAILABLE."TWELVE OUT OF TEN"
The Railway Tavern Euxton – ChorleyThis restaurant promises to be a great experience, but as soon as we walked in I was frozen stiff. I was shivering and my fingers were so cool i sat on my hands to get them warm. The staff were friendly but it was hard to get their attention. After our mains were delivered it took five minutes to get someone to bring us knifes and forks by which time the food was cool! The food was ok, tempura squid was gorgeous!!! My main course of Thai prawns was dissapointing and was sent back. We were refunded for this dish but not for the accompanying noodles which seemed odd as I hadnt eaten them because the prawn dish had made me feel sick. My husband had the duck but commented it was fatty and not very good quality. I had the house Rose wine which wasnt very nice and Black Bison which tasted like antifreeze with a mouldy blackcurrent on top. It wasnt my idea of a enjoyable romantic night out with my partner and sat near the kitchen which sounded like a freight train sped thru every ten minutes, the whole expereince was far from pleasurable! Its an ok restaurant, nice decor, limited menu and dissaointing dessert choice. Not sure if I would go again.
Yu And You – BlackburnThe setting is great with 'cosy' booths to dampen down surrounding noise. The food is exceptionally good, with good-sized portions and good quality ingredients - lots of tastes. Another bonus - reasonable parking just outside.
King Karai – PrestonThe service was very quick which i thought was good untill i tasted the food that is, and realised microwaved food doesnt take that long anyway. My childrens food was very dry and the chips were cold, i got chicken breast which was rubbery from the microwave it was dry and tasteless and the coleslaw was sour, my husband asked for medium rare steak on his mixed grill which ended up over cooked along with the gammon, but the chicken again was like rubber. We then headed for the play area which was good untill a group of boys started bulling my 4 and 8 year old daughters, one even pushed my 4 year old down the ramp, when i complained the manager told us that it was our job to supervise the children not hers, which we never left them once, we told her she was there to have authority to what goes on and she then told us it was our little girls fault for playing at the top, which i dont understand as there is only 2 levels and the bottom is mainly for toddlers, or what do you pay full price for, so what she was saying was the boys had right to bully my 4 year old as she was in the wrong place, we took our children out after only 30 minutes after paying for an hour and asked for our money back, the manager pulled her face and reluctantly gave us half back which is not much compensation for what the children went through, money didnt matter it was the fact that my children had to stop their playtime because the manager allowed bullying, we didnt even get a sorry, so i told her i was disgusted that she allowed bullying and she told us not to come back, so my children get bullied and we get barred.
Hollywood Star – BurnleyThank you Barry & Russell and team for making are wedding so special last Saturday, we had a fantastic wedding day. Nothing could of been better we are so very grateful to you both. wish you all the best.

Dragon and Phoenix – St HelensBrilliant
Pendle Inn – BurnleyMyself and my girlfriend took time to go to the Pendle inn. We stayed in one of their lovely cottages for the weekend. We ate lunch and dinner their, the food was brilliant, we had a hot sandwich and a seabass dish for lunch. The bill came to £20 including a drink each. Our evening meal was even more enjoyable. I had a lamb rump steak which was their own breed, my girlfriend had their most popular chicken dish, it had a strange name but tasted fantastic. It has improved since we last went there last summer and we will certainly return again. Well done Keep it up
Pendle Inn – BurnleyThis restaurant is always at the top of its game, Never giving bad service in all the time ive been going there , What a place , What a service , What a restaurant/takeaway. ... Valley Cantonese dont do calsberg but if they did it would probably be the best in the world.. By far the best Cantonese food ever outside of China fact, People go visit this place and be astounded by the culinary delights that it has to offer.
Valley Cantonese – RawtenstallGreat Sunday dinner.
The Pudding House at Wallings Farm – LancasterJust to let you know I enjoyed a first class meal at Penny Street Bridge in Lancaster recently. The staff were great, friendly and well informed about the choices available from the menu.Better still they have fantastic bedrooms upstairs. What a place
Toll House Inn – LancasterIt is a lovely restaurant but I have been 5 or so times and I always feel the service is poor. When they brought out the wrong main meal instead of "sorry sir we shall correct it but it may be 10 minutes" we were told "no that is what you ordered" and they refused to bring the correct dish. We only now eat here when we cannot get in at the Fortune Star.
Golden Dragon – LancasterThe best Chinese in Lancaster. The food is excellent and the service is the best around. I admit the restaurant isn't the most pleasing to the eye and it can be quite loud as it is a small value, but it is fantastic for a group and still great for a couple.
Fortune Star Restaurant – LancasterI love the place. It is very quiet, even on a weekend, so the service is very good and they can take their time to get the food right. If you want an atmosphere with a buzz then go elsewhere but if you want excellent food with good service and a quiet night out then this is ideal.
Antonys Cafe Bistro – LancasterI was invited to the grand opening of the (NEW) mitton hall. Well what can I say a its a truly remarkable place to be in. Every one was so helpful and extremely kind we spoke to numerous people that night. we spoke to a young gentleman that had been there over 12 months and had seen the hotel through its changes I think he was one of the Managers. He was so enthusiastic a bout the whole venue. Congratulations on the new venture.
