The Grapes – LeylandFantastic place! Food is outstanding! Compliments to the chef Anson!!
Millstone At Mellor – BlackburnNow reopened and under new management, Cafe Artisan is a hidden gem in Rawtenstall. Just what the area needs, a good down to earth menu in relaxed, contemporary environment. Good wine list and an excellent German draft pilsner!!
Artisan Cafe Bar – RawtenstallSoupanova is a great place, would never have imagined myself eating at a soup shop so much. The food is wonderful, not just soups, but salads, tortilla slices, fresh baked bread, homemade cakes, everything from meat to vegan and amazing smoothies. Really good atmosphere too and a book sharing point as well. Never been to anywhere quite like it.
Soupanova – LancasterWe have visited the 3 fishes on several occasions and love the fantastic food, location and relaxed atmosphere, where the food is the centre of the attention. It? even better as the ingredients are locally produced and the food you remember from childhood. This is the best restaurant in Lancashire and is also not as expensive as the Heathcotes brassiere outlets. My main tip would be arrive early as you can't book tables and don't drink all the dandelion & burdock!
The Three Fishes – ClitheroeVisited on a Friday lunch time and we plumped for the special of a 2 course lunch for £11.95, which was fairly good value, but had to pay extra for the hubby's steak main course (£3.95). Food was excellent, well presented and very tasty, however the restaurant lacked any atmosphere, even though there were about 6 other couples dining. Two other things put me off slightly, I hate carpets in restaurants, eugh! and also the menu I was given was grubby, finger marks and the like. Overall would visit again for the food, but make sure I took good company with me. Restaurant could be totally different in the evening.
The Sirloin Inn – PrestonWe can highly recommend Nino's. Always great food, and absolutely superb value if you have children under 10. It recently had a complete re-fit and it is very smart, with a brown and cream colour scheme. If you haven't been yet, try it out!
Nino’s Rawtenstall – RawtenstallWe hired the entire venue for My wife's 40th birthday celebrations on a Saturday evening. There were a total of 55 guests and I'd say that is about comfortable (on the downstairs floor anyway). We took our own choice of music, though they would need to invest in a few extra speakers in the main dining area should anyone want a real 'dance' party. Fabulous food, good service and ambience. We'll certainly go again and recommend Huntley's in the future.
Huntleys – PrestonNinos is very posh and the service is excellent the staff are very friendly, But the car park is a bit small but that is about it.
Nino’s Rawtenstall – RawtenstallOn visiting one Saturday night, group of 6 of us dined on the recommendation of a friend. We came at obviously a very busy night but waited an acceptable our or so. We had a broad selection from the menu, but the treacle ribs with devilled black peas were quite superb, a couple of dishes were sold out unfortunately but didn? detract from a very enjoyable meal, the only down side was the price of the drinks from the bar which were pricey
The Three Fishes – ClitheroeI love this restaurant. A 'typical' Italian I suppose but with a huge menu choice, generous portions and really, really tasty food. Their sauces are wonderful so boring pasta is always a delight. Dishes like garlic mushrooms are different from the standard in every other Italian. It's small and cosy, waiting on staff are professional and friendly, Go on a Wednesday and there is a piano/keyboard player and Friday a guitarist. You need to book though. Price is OK - about £7.00 for a pasta I can't recommend it enough. My favourite restaurant at the moment.
Amico Mio – ClitheroeWe visited Alghero's in May 2006. We found the atmosphere on weekday nights relaxed, entertaining and above all else authentic! Seeing people sat around in concert t-shirts and skate-wear added to the relaxed vibe, for us far nicer than the pseudo-riche who visit mainly on the weekends in their Chelsea Tractors. We've always had great service from the sometimes loopy (in a nice way) but always friendly & helpful staff. It was good to see the open kitchen, with the co-owner on both chef and waiter duties with the troops, much respect for that Sir! The weekday atmosphere is also all the more relaxed for the announcement of people's birthdays, anniversaries, etc and subsequent crashing of serving platters and playing of unfortunately indecipherable traditional italian songs. The food has always been excellent, we can recommend the Chicken & Ham Tagliatelle and the traditional Sardinian dishes cooked perfectly. All in all a very fine restaurant, great value and genuine, caring staff.
Alghero – ChorleyThe Red Triangle is by far one of the best eating establishments I have ever been in! The selection is limited but guaranteed to satisfy. Using seasonal produce and the freshest vegetables a meal at The Red Triangle will far surpass your expectations. Treat yourself at lunchtime to a steaming bowl of vegan broth and a cold organic beer. Sublime!
Red Triangle Cafe – BurnleyThis is a really true authentic Italian restaurant with actual Italians working in it. The food was delicious and the standard of service was second to none. We will definitely be visiting again soon.
Marcos – LancasterI recommend anyone who is on this site to give there fried chicken a try I was going past there shop yesterday and read a big sign saying new chicken with new recipe and i went in and i asked for 2 piece of chicken and i paid only 2 pound for them and i took them home and as i opened the chicken box the beautiful smell of chicken hit my taste buds and i ate the chicken and i shared some with my friends and that was the best chicken i and them have tried in their life so i recommend you to go in and try there chicken today thank you.
Balti House – BlackburnQuite simply the best meal we have ever had,all cooked and presented superbly! get some new chairs that would make it perfect.
Huntleys – PrestonThe food here was excellent, it was very tasty but on the downside it was expensive for both the food & drinks. A portion of rice was £2 & 1 pint was £3. The overall bill for 2 adults & 1 child was £43 (1 drink each) The ambience would have got top marks, but for the smoky atmosphere. (This will obviously improve next year, when its banned) Excellent & friendly service from the waiters
Balti Stan – AccringtonWe have never been disappointed with the meals or the service, a very fine place to relax and enjoy, we would take anyone to try this restaurant, well recommended.
