Quite a surprise to find such a funky contempory restaurant in Todmorden! They seem to have very forward thinking ideas about the food and wine as well. Well worth a trip to!

Vedas – TodmordenMy boyfriend and I ate here recently and I have been desperate to go back ever since. I had the most fantastic night. The staff are very friendly and attentive but in no way false, they are just lovely people. The ambience is so relaxed and I just felt totally at home. Now for the food - wow! I think it is up there as one of the best Italian meals I have ever had - and I have been to Rome! I immediately noticed that the menu is very varied and caters for all tastes. We had prawns in filo pastry and spare ribs to start, both of which were delicious. We both chose a steak for main course but had different sauces, both of which were again delicious - cutting the steak was like putting a hot knife through butter and it just melted in your mouth. We had tiramisu and chocolate fudge cake to finish with and this just rounded off the perfect meal. All washed down with a beautiful bottle of Pinot Grigio and a very creamy Baileys coffee. Yum. All in all we had a fantastic night. You couldn't ask for more - excellent food, wonderful service and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkParty of 11 dined on Sunday lunch staff were excellent catering for our daughter of 3 although they don't have a Childs menu. Once again, an excellent meal, which we recommended to our family who were all suitably impressed. Until next time... thank you
Left Bank Brasserie – OrmskirkMy boyfriend and I went to Longlands because the menu attracted us, and we weren't let down by anything other than the garlic bread. I guess we could go to Tescos and buy the same product. But hey, no quibbles, the food was superb and of high quality! The service was also very good, nice friendly staff!!!
Longlands Hotel and Restaurant – CarnforthWe?e visited this culinary heaven on three occasions during our winters "Curry Tour" and although it is a 90-mile round trip from base, my goodness it? well worth it. We will eat our way through the menu...eventually! Wonderful is an inadequate accolade.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterEtna deserves a review - it is a popular and regular visit for those who appreciate a relaxed, homely and traditional italian restaurant. At prices that don't hurt too much, there are a good range of pastas and mains and some good wines at sensible prices. You can pop in here for a quick bite or make an evening of it. My favourite old standard in Lancaster
Etna Pizza Pasta – LancasterBank Holiday Monday, sun shining, beautiful scenery plus hunger drew us to the Three Fishes. It was our lucky day - not only did they stay open for food all day, but the food was worth the trip out from Manchester. We got so wrapped up in the main menu that we totally missed out on the specials. As with lots of pubs, you order your food at the bar. That? where the similarity ends. Wow! That was only the starters - crumpet with curd cheese and beetroot salad for me & an incredible potato soufflé for him. Next were the generously portioned main courses. OK, I had fish & chips; but not as you've had it before. Crisp, light batter, 'home made' chips. And there were no complaints about the liver & kidneys from the other side of the table. Somehow, there was just enough room for dessert - Lancashire curd tart with lemon cream, and himself went for the selection of Lancashire cheeses, served by the 16 year old 'Cheese Boy', whose knowledge of his product was brilliant - especially for someone of that age. The atmosphere was good, the food excellent, and the price reasonable. We'll be back for more! Who knows, we may even remember to look at the specials!
The Three Fishes – ClitheroeAt the bargain pizza/pasta end of the menu this restaurant is ok. Try to be a little more adventurous and you will be rewarded. We have always had good meals here and the rack of lamb is fantastic. The premium wines are now on the menu but are worth the extra.
Amico Mio – ClitheroeI am a vegan that has eaten at Jims with a growing family for the past ten years. The food has always been excellent, fresh and imaginative. Over the years Jim has been happy to amend recipes to suit fickle teenagers, and the atmosphere is very bohemian and relaxed. The staff have always been friendly, and the wines on the wine list are clearly marked vegan, with one exception. My regular experiences have been very different to those of your other vegan visitor. I suggest people try the place. I am sure they would be delighted.
Jim’s Vegetarian Restaurant – ColneI have dined at lunchtime over the past few years here and each time the service and food was excellent and I will certainly try the evening meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant because compared to other restaurants in its class I didn't think the price was too bad (approx £16.50 for 3 course lunch and coffee). It's particularly nice when you sit in the conservatory as it looks out onto the garden.
Astley Bank – DarwenI was lucky enough to find the fleece a few weeks ago, i have since been three times. The place has a lovely country atmosphere, the service is quick, the staff are helpful and the food is out standing. Not a bad word has been said by any of the 7people that have accompanied me to the Fleece. It is extremely good value for money.
The Fleece Inn – LancasterWOW one of my favourite correction my favourite Italian food. The owner who seems to work 7 days a week 24 hours greets you and is so nice he has been great! Food was terrific best Italian food in Lancashire or even then UK
Salvatore’s Ristorante – PrestonSeemed anti vegan, very unhelpful. Surely disinterested chef, Felt humiliated enquiring about vegan food or wine. This was our second attempt to try this place, same attitude each time. Would not recommend to vegans. Other places around far more accommodating.
Jim’s Vegetarian Restaurant – ColneNot the best Chinese all you can eat but then again not the worst. If you like everything fried this is the place to go, almost every dish is fried this or fried that. The price is low and there are discounts for students. Overall the food is ok. I have been twice now and have to say it is very average.
Buffet@Preston – PrestonI think that it is an excellent choice if you want a relaxed evening. The food is great what more can you ask for ?
Shajan – BlackburnRegularly eat here. Food is excellent particularly the fegatini as a starter. Portions are good. Small bar area. No need to book (usually) but may have to wait in the small but comfortable bar area until your table is ready.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyMy favourite Italian restaurant
Italian Orchard – PrestonThe best Chinese food I have eaten
