The Station Hotel – LancasterExcellent food and friendly staff
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterExcellent midweek meal at The Station. Very pleasant and efficient staff. The garlic mushrooms were perfectly cooked as was the pizza. Definitely my pub of choice for food, beer and atmosphere.
The Station Hotel – LancasterExcellent on all fronts . Food was fabulous and very good portions . Great service with a lively buzzing atmosphere on a Monday night . Other pubs could learn a thing or two on how to be successful in tough times . There are a few places locally that used to be good but are now pushing up prices , reducing portion size and menu options which won’t entice customers to eat out. We will definitely return for lunch and evening meals . Well done and keep up the good work !
The Station Hotel – LancasterMeal Sunday afternoon. Family of four. Two burgers and the kebab were fine but the Sunday roast was very poor. Hardly any beef and it was so overdone it was nuked! Not good value for money I’m afraid and that was the reason I went in, “to try the roast”. Won’t rush back for the roast but the other food was fine.
The Waterwitch – LancasterFood was very tasty but portion size was small for the money.
The Waterwitch – LancasterFabulous meal with great service as usual. Eating here is a very positive experience and would highly recommend..
The Station Hotel – LancasterLovely meal and great staff. Interesting building as well.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterGreat food with fast and efficient service.
The Station Hotel – LancasterIt was a little disconcerting when we walked into the 'Ship' to see that the place was totally deserted! However, patrons gathered quickly to make for a good company. We are asked about drinks immediately, provided with menus and were able to order within minutes. We and our friends were impressed by the quality and quantity of the food: it's a long time since I had whale and chips! There was no time when we felt that we should move and we were able to stay for a long conversation. The only factor that caused us to leave was the need to travel home some 80 miles before darkness fell completely! Thank you for an excellent lunch! We'll be back.
Ship Inn – LancasterGreat restaurant set in a church with loads of lovely features. Staff were very friendly and polite. So much to choose from on the menu and we went for the sultans special set menu. Food was delicious and plenty of it, very good value for money loved everything. Would definitely go again if visiting Lancaster, highly recommended
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterPerfect Sunday Roast. Hubby had beef and I opted for the guest roast, which was turkey- my favourite! I was very pleased to see that it also came with Yorkshire pudding! Quality and presentation were excellent- we had no room for dessert unfortunately but saw someone else’s and they looked delicious. Will definitely recommend and re-visit.
Ship Inn – LancasterVery nice food, even though it's pricey. Felt like a traditional English meal with a nice interior, charming staff, and pleasant atmosphere. Would definitely go again.
The Waterwitch – LancasterTwo friends both celebrating our birthdays on a cold, wet November day, enjoyed a pleasant lunch. The staff were welcoming, it was very clean and cosy. The lunch choices were adequate and nicely cooked. I had vegetarian lasagna which I’m usually nervous about but was full of veg and tasty with a salad and garlic bread. Reasonably priced, as were the glasses of wine. We had to ask for water but a carafe was brought with glasses full of ice and slices of lemon. We each had chocolate mousse, large, delicious portions. We were comfortable to chat for nearly 3 hours, it was a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. We’ve both been eating there for years; never disappointed.
The Waterwitch – LancasterWe were very early, first customer in which is the reason for down scoring on atmosphere. The service was excellent from all staff, including both greeting and saying goodbye. Prices were a little on the high side, but having said that the food was very good with decent quantities. All in all, if I was visiting Lancaster again in the evening I would certainly go to the Sultan of Lancaster.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterExcellent food, generous portion sizes, efficient service and spacious restaurant.
