Wonderful food and atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and attentive, many thanks to Will for making us so welcome. Looking forward to a return visit soon.
The Lodge – LancasterAwful experience. Booked 2 days in advance. Arrived 30 mins early. Shown to a sticky table. Others had reserved on them. Lad said he’d bring menus over. No cutlery or anything. After 15 mins of being ignored we walked out. No contact after dumping us at the table. Showed others to reserved tables walking past us each time. General state was dirty and smacked of a lot of young kids playing at serving a bar. My advice, don’t touch it
The Station Hotel – LancasterGreat service and great food. Plenty of choice of food and drink. Staff all knowledgeable about all of the food and drink available. Would definitely recommend
The Station Hotel – LancasterAmazing food and top service. We had the chicken Kiev which was so good! Was sat in the far end of the pub, there was large group when arrived which added the the atmosphere but when they left we felt a little abandoned as it is very quiet at that end of the building. Didn’t ruin our night though.
The Lodge – LancasterExcellent food & service on a recent visit for an evening Sunday meal. So glad the Lodge has reopened. Will definitely be visiting again soon
The Lodge – LancasterExceptional value for money.Meal was lovely. The staff were all very friendly and polite. Highly recommended.
The Station Hotel – LancasterLovely food served by enthusiastic staff. Great to be able to take the dog!
The Station Hotel – LancasterWe went twice recently (July 2021) because we wanted somewhere nice and had open air dining as one of the family needed to avoid indoors for medical reasons. The staff were all helpful and friendly and no one complained about the food — it was fine. Eating out attracts the odd wasp though.
The Lodge – LancasterGorgeous poppadoms that melt in your mouth, really tasty garlic balti but perhaps a bit too hot, which we weren't expecting!
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterThe staff and service were excellent. Our meals were amazing, thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
The Waterwitch – LancasterFriendly, welcoming staff. Service was very slow, our food arrived 50 mins after ordering a burger and a pizza. Whilst waiting we tried to order another pint and a half of the cask bitter only to be told it was not available due to a cellar problem. The food was tasty and plentiful but the pizza base was soggy and the brioche burger bun burnt on top and dried out so that it was rock hard. Rather a disappointing visit after reading good reviews by other customers. It was a Tuesday evening and the place wasn’t busy.
The Station Hotel – LancasterService was so poor left before we got our drinks.
The Lodge – LancasterOur food on our 1st and 2nd visit could not be falted , however, on our 2nd visit we both chose rump steak for our main course only to be told after 10 minutes that they no longer had any, when I suggested ribeye as a 2nd choice they only had one left, so I chose Chicken Kiev and my partner gammon we waited a further 10 minutes to be told they had no gammon either, so we both went for chicken Kiev the waiter did offer to give us a reduction in the price as he thought to be let down three times was unacceptable. We appreciate its not the fault of the staff so we paid the full price. We booked our meal for 7 30 and we eventually had our food served at 8 50, we chose red wine to have with our steak which we didnt get and we had almost finished by the time the food arrived. All in all the staff were friendly and efficient and food still good
The Lodge – LancasterVery impressed with the Bay Horse at Forton! Stylish yet traditional looking pub in a very pretty location. Well drilled staff and the food was spot on. Pub food but in a rustic restaurant style.
Bay Horse Inn – LancasterExcellent website for booking a table. Clear instructions. Confirmatory email. Unfortunately the Water Witch had had a power cut on the day we visited so it was a limited menu. However the service and choice were excellent.
The Waterwitch – LancasterPopped in (pre-booked) for an early dinner & both service & food great. Will be back again
The Waterwitch – LancasterCame here whilst on holiday in the area, amazing food and atmosphere and loved the fact that they’re dog friendly. Very friendly staff, cannot recommend it enough!
The Station Hotel – LancasterWe were welcomed by our names on entry. Every attempt is made to make you feel special. The food service and attention to detail is excellent . The Pork ribs had been cooked to perfection, tender, well cooked and in a sublime sauce. As for the cheesecake. A perfect afternoon of relaxation and enjoyment
