Good food, relaxed environment and reasonably priced, especially the set dinners. Great for parties or a night out, not so suitable for a night of romance.

Fortune Star Restaurant – LancasterWoW what can I say but very very good food and genuine polite service. The restaurant area is quite large with seating for groups too, food presentation is very well thought out too, it makes me feel a bit peckish every time I think of this restaurant, price is good less than £10 per head for main course.
The Lodge – LancasterThis is going to go in the top 5 of places to eat out, the service deserves tipping (as I did) and the food was absolutely out of this world, there is lots of seating and the atmosphere is not ruined by smokers. Try it out you will not be disappointed!
The Lodge – LancasterGreat restaurant! I love to go there.
The Stork Inn – LancasterGood little restaurant. The service is very good and the staff are very accommodating (especially when I made a group booking). The price is good - value for money. A weakness of their food is that the spiciness is inconsistent. Sometimes it's quite bland, but sometimes it's too hot! A weakness of the ambience is that while you're having your meal, there is a constant movement of people getting takeaways directly past your table.
Moghuls Indian Restaurant – LancasterGreat food. Great service. I hope I go there again soon.
Golden Dragon – LancasterHow on earth do you comment on culinary perfection. This restaurant has it all. Friendliness, warmth of atmosphere, wonderful service and food fit to grace anyone? platter. Thank you to The Sultan What else can one say?
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterThe atmosphere here is lovely but I find the food a little average. Why do they not have some more modern options on the menu as well as traditional vegetarian favourites? The food is vegetarian yes but the inspiration behind it is circa 1960. A particular low point being the cardboard style flan pastry. The interior is disastrous, more nursery than cafe but you can't knock the people and service. Or the cakes and the whale tail salad. Not bad overall, but let's just hope it doesn't get any competition.
Whale Tail Vegetarian Cafe – LancasterYum, yum, yum! This place is fantastic but unfortunately a little difficult to get to sans car which is a shame because the wine list is excellent. The only other negative comment is that the food may be too heavy for some, my advice would be to pack the indigestion tabs and chow down because it really does taste as good as everyone says it does. The interior and atmosphere is also special in a comfortable sort of a way, especially cosy on a winter's eve.
Bay Horse Inn – LancasterI found this wonderful establishment some years ago and don? (to my shame) visit it very often. However, this does maintain the element of complete enjoyment on each and every visit and it is a bi- annual confirmation of just how good this restaurant is. Can the good get better? In this case I? have to say yes as The Sultan once again shines through as the sparkling example of culinary excellence that others may follow, but not surpass.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterWe?e visited this culinary heaven on three occasions during our winters "Curry Tour" and although it is a 90-mile round trip from base, my goodness it? well worth it. We will eat our way through the menu...eventually! Wonderful is an inadequate accolade.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterEtna deserves a review - it is a popular and regular visit for those who appreciate a relaxed, homely and traditional italian restaurant. At prices that don't hurt too much, there are a good range of pastas and mains and some good wines at sensible prices. You can pop in here for a quick bite or make an evening of it. My favourite old standard in Lancaster
Etna Pizza Pasta – LancasterI was lucky enough to find the fleece a few weeks ago, i have since been three times. The place has a lovely country atmosphere, the service is quick, the staff are helpful and the food is out standing. Not a bad word has been said by any of the 7people that have accompanied me to the Fleece. It is extremely good value for money.
The Fleece Inn – LancasterWhenever I have a party to organise we always go to Miyabi's, the chefs are great and the food is always perfect.
Miyabi Japanese Restaurant – LancasterWe stayed here last week the hotel was very contemporary and very smart. The food excellent the rooms very nice. Staff helpful and friendly. The hotel is set in the city centre very handy for shops and all bars. The breakfast was the best I have ever tasted.
Sun Hotel and Bar – LancasterFANTASTIC RESTAURANT, VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE SERVICE, NAN BREADS WERE LARGE AND GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY, THE GARLIC NANS WERE THE BEST, BEATS THE SULTAN HANDS DOWN.
Moghuls Indian Restaurant – LancasterVery good atmosphere, very good food and modestly priced. An eclectic mix of clients. Currently my favourite Italian pizza and pasta house
Spaghetti House Restaurant – LancasterThe decor may not be as trendy as the other more expensive Italians in the town but the pizza and service is easily as good if not better.
