The best working lunch spot in Leeds. I've been here a dozen or so times now and eaten my way through the menu. Great food, lovely surroundings, convenient location and really good prices.

The Goodluck Club – Leeds City CentreHad a lovely lunch yesterday, food was superb for all 3 of us. The server was absolutely excellent, super friendly. There was a delay of over 30 minutes from us placing our food order and it being brought to the table. Otherwise everything was perfect.
The Goodluck Club – Leeds City CentreI visit the GLC several times a week and the service is always exceptional. The food is really high quality and there’s always a good atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend.
The Goodluck Club – Leeds City CentreThe chicken katsu is totally dry from being fully pre cooked and then fried to order. Worse than dry, with fibrous parts. I carefully mention it by first pointing to the enjoyment of other dishes save though privately it makes me wonder if we should defer West for curry sauces. What followed was a textbook example of how not to deal with a complaint, I was rebuked that this is their way of making it (lazy if convenient and not consistent with producing a quality dish) and nobody else has complained, and sorry YOU don’t like it, she kept turning it back to it being something particular to my palate that somehow my experience didn’t matter as I now know not to have that dish if I didn’t like it - not a word of acceptance or preparedness to exchange this one item as part of a Bento Box (I admit I don’t see the potato salad connection) But it’s a simple fact that it was poorly prepared poor quality result of industrialising this ingredient to the point that frying with batter cannot salvage - super dry that would be unacceptable to most people. I was lectured that she wouldn’t, as the owner’s daughter accept my point.. I have been before since the very early days, If I seemed irritable as your waiting staff (except one busy) not actively scanning the restaurant, I was trying for several minutes to catch anyone's of two other servers eyes to ask for a tea top up and I cannot put that down to being . The bill would have seemed good value notwithstanding the chicken incident, but I encourage staff to have a customer is right attitude - honourable rules of engagement apply.
Fuji Hiro – Leeds City CentreVery nice food, great atmosphere. The place it’s self is small. But personally I like the intimacy. Our waitress (can’t remember their name, but had a cat tattoo) was very cheerful, polite & didn’t laugh when I was butchering the dish names. My partner got the Katsu curry, she found it quite spicy, but that was personal preference. Would recommend & definitely go again:
Fuji Hiro – Leeds City CentreGreat food service and price
The Goodluck Club – Leeds City CentreGreat food with superb service.
The Goodluck Club – Leeds City CentreLove Fuji Hiro, always been my secret place I love going to tucked away behind the Merriom, however now the student accommodation has been built nearby it's not a secret and so i'd definitely recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Outstanding Japanese food at great prices - always my go to for quick bite. Quite an informal atmosphere and small restaurant though so wouldn't recommend for very big groups . I saw someone else complaining about this so it's worth noting, in Japanese fashion the food comes as it's cooked so you can enjoy it at it's freshest (like tapas), not when the whole groups is ready. That's the nature of the food and not an indication of poor service, they're always quick and attentive at Fuji Hiro :)
Fuji Hiro – Leeds City CentreSuper as usual. The food and staff are always great.
The Goodluck Club – Leeds City CentreThe food and value was brilliant, bento boxes, sushi and ramens were amazing. Our experience was soured however as we had booked a table in advance for 7.30 and did not get seated until 8:10. When we arrived we were told there were no tables and if we could wait 15 minutes, and sat us at the bar. A drinks order was taken while we waited but the drinks did not arrive until we were finally given a table 40 minutes later, and even then we had to remind the waiting staff drinks had been ordered. Meanwhile another group arrived and was seated at a table immediately without any explanation from staff even though both customers and staff had to squeeze past my group to get from the kitchen/bar area to the door and back (a table that we thought was being prepared for our group). Everyone on my table received mains at different times over a 20 minute period and 6 out of 7 my guests had eaten and finished when the 7th person was still waiting on food. We paid the bill in full as my wife did not like to cause a fuss, but we received no apology from staff, with no offer of a reduced bill or complimentary drink for our trouble. An apology came after my group left after paying and I brought it to the attention of the staff. Sadly not sure if I will return as I was embarrassed bringing a group of friends here after a rather incompetent display of customer service.
Fuji Hiro – Leeds City CentreOutstanding. I went about 15 years ago as a child and thought, let's go again. Honestly the food was so good and the drinks menu amazing. Had the crab which was delightful and so cheap. The citrus yuzu sake was great as well.
Fuji Hiro – Leeds City CentreTerrible!! Greasy menus and generally dirty. If that been the worst of it … ordered a soft drink, sushi and starters … they had none of what we ordered at 1.00 pm. Would not go back!!
Fuji Hiro – Leeds City CentreThe best sushi in Leeds..very friendly staff. Thank you so much
Fuji Hiro – Leeds City CentreWe love going to fuji hiro, the food is always great and the new booking system is easy to use. Added to this, our waiter on Saturday night was fabulous, he was really cheerful and helpful despite how busy it was.
Fuji Hiro – Leeds City CentreExceptional customer service yesterday. Our server was simply delightful, helpful, and went above and beyond to keep us all happy. Food came out quickly despite being busy lunchtime, and was delicious!
The Goodluck Club – Leeds City CentreThe best recommendation that we can give is that we come back to this restaurant on a regular basis because it's absolutely guaranteed good food and lovely service. The price, for us, is also well set for an office lunch.
The Goodluck Club – Leeds City CentreThe best sushi I've had in leeds if not in the UK. Been more than once and will be back again.
