The best Chinese in Leeds without doubt perfect balance and combination of flavours presentation unbelievable worth going to with friends and family
The River Fortune – Leeds City CentreI've visited Town Hall Tavern on a number of occasions and can safely say I've never been disappointed. A group of 15 of us visited mid-week and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food came out quickly and was delicious, particularly the mussels. The cocktails are also fantastic and a bit different from the usual Cosmopolitans still found in so many city centre bars. I'd definitely recommend a visit to Town Hall Tavern, whatever the occasion.
Town Hall Tavern – Leeds City CentreI recently dined at Gaucho and loved it. The food was fantastic although a little pricey.
Gaucho – Leeds City CentreThe service was awful. Really slow. Unfriendly staff. Food was ok but for £70 for a meal for two I would expect a lot more. You can get tastier Japanese food at Fuji Hiro for a fraction of the price. I wont be going again.
Chino Latino – Leeds City CentreLooking for a breakfast recently,I called into Pasta Romagna. I felt very let down by the quality, as the cappuccino was very week and the fried eggs where over cooked and brown from old fat. The place seemed to live in the past. I definitely will not be visiting again .
Pasta Romagna – Leeds City CentreHansa's food is sublime! I have eaten here several times and every time I go back I am always amazed by the depth of flavour, vibrancy and sheer quality of the dishes. It is a wonderful place, with an extremely friendly and welcoming atmosphere. If you haven't been, you should definitely go!
Hansa’s Cookery School – Leeds City CentreUnfortunate to say, but this once great restaurant has gone seriously downhill. The last few times we have been we have had poor customer service. The vegetarian dish arrived with chicken and had to be returned, and minimal apology/acknowledgment was given from the staff. The starter was burnt and the smell ruined the rest of the meal. They had run out of main course that I initially wanted, and then didn't have my next choice either. A once great restaurant has had its last custom from us.
Little Tokyo – Leeds City Centrevisited this cafe on spur and found a true gem in the Leeds crown. situated in Victoira Quarter out side the main store of Harvey Nichols and covered by an amazing stained glass roof giving the impression of a modern cathedral, after a short wait we were greeted at the entrance by a manager and made to feel welcome then seated at a side table to browse the menu then a waitress came over and continued to delight with her knowledge of the products on offer. This cafe/ restaurant gives a truly great service and product. we chose a main from the savoury menu with a new "fashion cocktail" the Dazzling Dior ! we will defo be going back and taking friends with us. Ideal for the family or the Ladies who lunch!
Harvey Nichols Espresso Bar – Leeds City CentreThe food at San Carlo never disappoints! The meal I had with my wife last weekend was absolutely delicious and the service was top notch!
San Carlo – Leeds City Centregreat place to visit and the best thing was that no bear no wine in the restaurant i salute the owner for being a strong Muslim as the food was great also i was visiting from north carolina , usa and my daughter and niece had recommended to have diner at the place loved it only thing i would suggest is please train ur staff a little more especially the ones who are serving at the tables other wise its a best place in leeds to visit.
Chandelier By Mumtaz – Leeds City CentreWe went for a pre-theatre meal here, and got a table for 5.30, with a promise we'd be done in time for the 7.30 show at the next-door WYPlayhouse. I was hugely impressed by everything about this restaurant. There was a small crowd waiting for the doors to open, and everyone had pre-booked (which I would recommend as it certainly seems popular). The friendly and efficient staff checked every party off the booking list and got them seated, given drinks and so on very quickly without ever giving an impression of hurrying anyone. Although almost every table was full, the well organised staff kept everything ticking along unobtrusively and the whole place had a nice, friendly, buzzy atmosphere. The fixed price menu was good value, though after our meal we decided that for the quality and the quantity the full main menu is not overpriced at all. The food is some of the best we have eaten in the UK, not fussy and over presented, but good honest rustic French cuisine with generous portions and tastes out of this world. Another nice touch was the fresh french bread - when we had eaten all our first basket we were given another at no additional cost, as with the carafe of iced water. This is a 10 out of 10 restaurant on every count, we will definitely be going again!
Kendells Bistro – Leeds City CentreA fairly relaxed atmosphere, an unashamedly meaty menu and decent steaks. Does what it says on the tin.
Cattle Grid Restaurants – Leeds City CentreFish and Chips have always been the best in town. Each time I visit Leeds I stop at Nash's. For my mother's birthday, quick lunch, or just to relax and have a good meal. I know it was closed for a while and was so glad to find it open when I was in Leeds 2010. Always a good atmosphere
Nash’s Fish and Chip Restaurant and Takeaway – Leeds City CentreHas to be one of the very best places to eat in Leeds. Whilst low key it has a great reputation around the business quarter of Leeds. The food produced by the french chef is fantastic and changes daily, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and I can honestly not think of a bar in Leeds that can match the offering of The Old Steps.
Old Steps – Leeds City CentreI just had my food delivered literally 20 mins ago, I enjoyed the meal, and they sent mrs and the mrs free desserts, they were amazing.I i have got to be honest, I was speaking to the owner Sid, I respect him for his approach to his business and his customers. He makes sure his staff make the food the way we want it. Really good food, really good guys.
Pizza Base and Tandoori Place – Leeds City CentreMy wife and I just enjoyed an excellent lunch at Leeds Brasserie Blanc and I am happy to be able to tell you that. The riverside setting is very pleasant being far enough off the beaten track to provide, with the help of the attractive dining room, a sense of intimacy and not too far to make it feel like a safari. We were greeted and served throughout with efficiency and friendly courtesy which never became obtrusive; A perfect blend. The food was excellent in presentation, taste and in well judged quantity which, like the service, was sufficient without being overbearing. Leeds Brasserie Blanc will definitely be on our favourites list from now on
Brasserie Blanc – Leeds City CentreWe are not vegetarians but his is one of our favourite restaurants, so much so that we think nothing of catching a train (or bus) from Harrogate to eat here. The service is great, the food excellent and the owners are really nice. Only regret is we did not discover Hansas years ago!
Hansa’s Cookery School – Leeds City CentreMy friend and I went to Hansas at the weekend for what we were expecting to experience some new flavours. We are not vegetarian but wanted to try it as it had been getting very good reviews. We were not disappointed, the ingredients were very fresh, the flavours were sensational, I have travelled around the world but can honestly say I have not experienced flavours like this before. The knowledge of the food by the waiting staff very good, Hansa served us at our table and was very accommodating help us understand what we were ordering. I live 120 miles away, it is definitely work a return visit and would recommend everyone to try it.
