Miahs Kitchen – Leeds City CentreThe best chippy in Leeds , New Farnley's Big secret....
The Village Chippy – Leeds City CentreBRILLIANT. RECOMMENDED.
Bierkeller – Leeds City Centrevisited last Saturday night and really enjoyed the atmosphere, the bar was heaving.
All Bar One – Leeds City CentreWe ate at the River Fortune last Friday evening. The service was very friendly and the decor comfortable and smart. The food was absolutely delicious - we shared spring rolls and dim sum for starters and then shared a thai green curry and special massaman curry. All dishes were well cooked, nicely presented and full of flavour. We would highly recommend you try it!
The River Fortune – Leeds City Centredated visited bibis 16/11/2011first impressions very grand and light eating place, we was shown to table and waiter asked if we would like a drink we asked for few minutes to study wine list , £6.80 for 250ml of white house wine little bit pricey . But then you are paying for surroundings . The waiter came to take our order seemed a little bit in a rush and i asked what a couple of the dishes were he seemed very unhelpful , still not to let it spoil our meal we ordered from a bit over priced menu ..... The food arrived FROM NOT SO FRIENDLY STAFF to be fair my chicken in mushroom sauce was OK not too bad lacking a little seasoning . My friends dish came it was meant to be chicken with mustard and mayo dressing it was tasteless and tasted like mayo dressing only ......on what most of it she left a different waitress claim to clear plates on clearing plates she asked if everything was ok to witch my friend answered no it was taste less and just like mayo dressing no mustard and very bland and she was every disappointed .NO SORRY GIVEN PLATES JUST TAKEN AWAY WITH NO WORDS ...HOW RUDE .... we then asked for bill and were told we need to pay near door on paying bill £5.70 10 service charged had been added . not very good service really ...WOULD NOT VIST AGAIN STAFF UN HELPFULL AND FOOD NOT GOOD ..........
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreRe: ‘ river fortune 5 st peters place Leeds ls9 8aq While working away in Leeds I asked a fellow colleague where I could enjoy an Chinese meal one evening. She recommended the ‘river fortune’ in Leeds st peters place so we booked a table for the following night. On arriving at the ‘river fortune’ we were warmly greeted by the waiters who swiftly seated us, took our drinks order (what else but sun lik !) and brought fresh, warm prawn crackers while we perused the menu and were spoiled for choice. We ordered a selection of duck ,seafood based dish like beancurd casserole szechuanstyle, black pepper dishes some fried rice and Cantonese sauce when they arrived we could not believe the generosity of the portions, but the subtle spicing and superb quality of the meat and seafood seduced us into eating the lot. We washed it down with a bottle of white wine that was surprisingly good. The total bill for two ( gratuity) was under £40 which indicates excellent value for money, especially considering the generous quantity and high quality of what we had. It was interesting to note that even on a Thursday evening , the restaurant was full and a steady stream of customers (including the local Chinese population ) called in to collect their take-away meals. The river fortune was converted by the Hoque family ,from a dowdy site into a chic’ brasserie style restaurant offering Chinese and Thai cuisine. It opened on 7th November 2011 with 104 covers of contrasting black and cream linen Well done to the Hoque family for developing this successful restaurant, I look forward to returning soon (more reports please )
The River Fortune – Leeds City CentreThe best Chinese in Leeds without doubt perfect balance and combination of flavours presentation unbelievable worth going to with friends and family
The River Fortune – Leeds City CentreI've visited Town Hall Tavern on a number of occasions and can safely say I've never been disappointed. A group of 15 of us visited mid-week and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food came out quickly and was delicious, particularly the mussels. The cocktails are also fantastic and a bit different from the usual Cosmopolitans still found in so many city centre bars. I'd definitely recommend a visit to Town Hall Tavern, whatever the occasion.
Town Hall Tavern – Leeds City CentreI recently dined at Gaucho and loved it. The food was fantastic although a little pricey.
Gaucho – Leeds City CentreThe service was awful. Really slow. Unfriendly staff. Food was ok but for £70 for a meal for two I would expect a lot more. You can get tastier Japanese food at Fuji Hiro for a fraction of the price. I wont be going again.
Chino Latino – Leeds City CentreLooking for a breakfast recently,I called into Pasta Romagna. I felt very let down by the quality, as the cappuccino was very week and the fried eggs where over cooked and brown from old fat. The place seemed to live in the past. I definitely will not be visiting again .
Pasta Romagna – Leeds City CentreHansa's food is sublime! I have eaten here several times and every time I go back I am always amazed by the depth of flavour, vibrancy and sheer quality of the dishes. It is a wonderful place, with an extremely friendly and welcoming atmosphere. If you haven't been, you should definitely go!
Hansa’s Cookery School – Leeds City CentreUnfortunate to say, but this once great restaurant has gone seriously downhill. The last few times we have been we have had poor customer service. The vegetarian dish arrived with chicken and had to be returned, and minimal apology/acknowledgment was given from the staff. The starter was burnt and the smell ruined the rest of the meal. They had run out of main course that I initially wanted, and then didn't have my next choice either. A once great restaurant has had its last custom from us.
Little Tokyo – Leeds City Centrevisited this cafe on spur and found a true gem in the Leeds crown. situated in Victoira Quarter out side the main store of Harvey Nichols and covered by an amazing stained glass roof giving the impression of a modern cathedral, after a short wait we were greeted at the entrance by a manager and made to feel welcome then seated at a side table to browse the menu then a waitress came over and continued to delight with her knowledge of the products on offer. This cafe/ restaurant gives a truly great service and product. we chose a main from the savoury menu with a new "fashion cocktail" the Dazzling Dior ! we will defo be going back and taking friends with us. Ideal for the family or the Ladies who lunch!
Harvey Nichols Espresso Bar – Leeds City CentreThe food at San Carlo never disappoints! The meal I had with my wife last weekend was absolutely delicious and the service was top notch!
