Great place to hang out with friends on a night, especially on Tuesdays and Fridays. Full of decent, nice people. Get your arse down there! (Good price drinks too)

Had a 21st here for our daughter as a party of 8. Food was the best Chinese we have had with all dishes being excellent and plentiful. The Duck for starters was brilliant. We had some reservations when reading other reviews about the service, but we could not have asked for better. Friendly and helpful at all times. A fantastic evening out making this a special occasion. Well recommended and we will definitely be back.

we have eaten in the new Bibi's a few times now, and think it is a 'cut above the rest' when it comes to restaurants in Leeds. The decor is amazing, very Vegas-y & showtime and what more could you want on the weekend that you savour so much, is to sip champagne or cocktails in a packed bar with friends! food is excellent every time, never just a one-off (unlike certain city square venues) and the staff are always attentive. we love it, and can certainly see what all the fuss is about!

I am shocked to see such high reviews for this place that dares to call itself a restaurant! I have just spent a most unpleasant lunchtime in there - anywhere else on a monday lunchtime in town you would expect to be served with a smile, in a timely manner and treated with some degres of respect as after all you are the paying customer. Problems started when there was one person taking food orders and running the bar. The queue was five long and needless to say the service was slow. Once we had eventually placed our food order along with two carbonated drinks by the time we got back to our table we were told there was no bread as they were waiting on a delivery so had to pick something else. We opted for the fish finger sandwiches for which we were told they had bread rolls so could serve them. We had a sip of our drink to find the in both the lemonade and coke the syrup had run out so we called the one waitress over to ask if we could have replacements only to be told we had to join the back of the queue for the bar if we wanted new drinks which was now 10 long and showed no signs of moving. Our food came and to say i was disappointed is an understatement. The quality of the fish fingers were that of Lidl (hnestly Icelands are better) and hardly cooked (fried hard but practically raw inside) and the apparent seasame bun resembled a squashed warbertons roll that you can get for 6 for a £1. The chips were also deep fried to within an inch of their lives as well. They had the cheek to charge £5.95 for this apparent culinary delight. I was all for complaining and demanding an explanation but finding an appropriate person to complain to was hard enough and as my lunch hour was almost up after all the queuing that was required i walked out thoroughly disappointed and very angry. I say to anyone who is even marginally tempted to have a "light bite" in this "restaurant" to think again and go spend your hard earned money elsewhere! Absolutely shocking and if Gordon Ramsey had a grave he would most certainly be turning in it!

Visited with high expectations after all the press but the restaurant didn't live up to the hype unfortunately. The music was so low that I could only hear the nearby waiting staff talking socially. My fish was cooked well but was disappointed with the garnish. The best thing about it was the decor although it still looked remarkably like the old Leodis. Sorry, i didnt like the paper table cloths either!!!

the service was very poor. had to wait over an hour for our food. the restaurant was very dark! could not see other people or food. would not go there again

Akbars – Leeds City Centre
Las Iguanas

Shame about the service and cost, otherwise this bar could be a best seller, ambience and cuisine wise. The Loos need attending to more regularly.

By the people who had Chilli Pepper Deli (which was amazing!) the food and selection here is just as great. We are always reassured by the veggie selection's consistent quality. Recommend a potato and pea corma. Only drawback for me and my memory is cash or cheques - no cards!

Booked as a treat before going to the theatre, however big let down. We (3 of us) ordered a starter & main course, but the main course turned up first. We explained we had ordered starters & the mains were removed. Our waitress then explained saying she'd 'forgot' too put them through the till (no sorry)! After another 10 mins the starters came, but the 'king' prawns were burnt & small at a cost of £1.50 each - however we dare not complain. Main courses were 'ok' however had been kept warm which we knowe because the side salad on each plate was 'cooked'. If we had known we'd get the same main meals we would have cancelled the starters... Disappointing & annoying - won't recommend or return!!

Lounge Bar and Grill – Leeds City Centre
Del Mundo

I love food and this is my favourite place to eat in the UK! I have been going here for at least the last 8 years, and the food and service remains outstanding. Amazing value for money, starter, main and drink for under £13.00. And you are never gonna leave hungry.

I wasn't too impressed the previous time I visited, but was pleasantly surprised this time. The duck comfit was perfectly cooked and the desserts were delicious, although the crepe suzette was a bit overdone. Would definitely go back.

We've lived through its many reincarnations but this one is definitely the best. We brought friends here who lived in India and even they raved about it.

The best curry I've ever tasted. I am 40yrs old and I have had currys all around the world. Their currys are the best.

Zam Zam – Leeds City Centre
Welshy

Dire in most respects! The Welsh Rarebit was a joke: one piece of cheese on toast does not constitute a Welsh Rarebit! Lattes were coffee-less and the menu was stodgy, unimaginative and limited: totally boring and uninspiring in fact. A very poor experience.
