Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreA nice restaurant but the food is a little unauthentic. Tom yum soup was very salty, and we felt the fish dishes were overpriced. The service and surroundings were excellent though.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreThis is my favourite restaurant in Leeds. Has superb food, the staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the beers are great. Nice interior, a sort of 'shabby chic' style, which I THINK is intentional - one criticism though, the toilets smell of mould. But I guess you can live with that if the rest is good!
Reliance Bar and Dining Room – Leeds City CentreChange of Management. Have french chef.Good food, Good Black Sheep and T.Taylors.
Old Steps – Leeds City CentreFantastic food, surroundings and very refreshing idea to have an excellent singer in a very low key position to keep you entertained at regular intervals throughout the evening. Will definitely be returning to sample more of the menu. This place is a winner all round.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreWow!! Where has this place been hiding? Cant believe its been open since Christmas and ive havent been before. Had the Gang Panaeng (prawn) curry and it took my breath away. Cant wait to go back with the family,
Chaophraya – Leeds City Centrewhat a top place. v. good food but even better drinks. fab cocktails!
Jakes Bar – Leeds City Centrevery good
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreWe visited the new Bibis after having some excellent meals at the old Bibis. Unfortunately the food is now more expensive and simply not as good. A spicy sea food salad starter at £10.95 was expensive tasteless and miserable when compared to the old one on Greek Street, other food was acceptable. The service is excellent the decor and ambience is fantastic however get the food right as at the moment it does feel a bit fur coat and no knickers.
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreReally nice surroundings and the service was good too. I recognised some of the staff from other restaurants I've visited in and around Leeds and the food was very similar to that of the Sala Thai in Shaw Lane Headingley. I wonder if it's the same chef. I have to agree with my fellow reviewer though, the Sukhothai in Chapel Allerton is the Thai restaurant by which all others will be judged.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreThis restaurant made me feel so relaxed, as if we were the only customers in there! The service and food were fabulous, well worth the money! It has the perfect ambience for a really special evening. Go now!
Chez Mal Brasserie – Leeds City CentreThird time I have been and my favourite visit so far. The service was vastly superior to my last visit and the food was as amazing as ever. Highly recommend.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreGood food. Good atmosphere. Good restaurant!!
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreI have dined at the original Bibi's on Greek street several times and the food was always outstanding. The surroundings a little dated but still classy and the atmosphere outstanding. I visited the new Bibi's a couple of days ago and was totally blown away with the decor. The interior is of very high quality; the people involved must have spent a FORTUNE!!! Have you felt the weight of the main door? No expense has been spared here... Now the food, i have only been to the new one once and was a little disappointed, maybe the stunning interior raised my expectations of the food. It was ok don? get me wrong, but I felt my dish had been sitting on a hotplate whilst my partners dish was being prepared for a little too long. The service was outstanding, staff who were busy with other people still managed to fulfil our drinks requests and were always checking our wine levels and refilling where necessary. Good service is very important to me and Bibi's did not disappoint on this score. The only gripe I had with one of the waiter who I felt he was flirting a little too much with my partner! She enjoyed it though, so all is forgiven. Excellent, I just hope my food was a one off.
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreBrilliant! food was gorgeous, didn't take long to arrive. Wonderfully decorated. Friendly staff too, and it didn't cost as much as I had expected. I got the wrong dessert but they were very apologetic and offered me another.
Chaophraya – Leeds City Centreexcellent selection of beers from around the world. good selection of real ales. Menu is varied and the burgers looked massive.
Foleys Tap House – Leeds City CentreBest Japaneese in Leeds! The sushis are great and inexpensive (£10 a full set of 12, unbeatable!!!), the huge ramens are very good (around £6), the starters (dim sum, ebi katsu, yaki tori...) are mouthwatering (about £3-£4) and you'll enjoy green tea for free. The ambience is "zen" and non smoking. The service is efficient, nice and so fast you won't believe it. Worth a try if you've never tasted this type of cuisine, you'll come back!!!
Little Tokyo – Leeds City CentreA very excellent Bengali takeaway and restaurant, well maintained, and the staff are amazing specially mr Angur Miah, who? hospitality I can never forget !
