We visited during half term to celebratea family birthday, I was pleased with the offer for children eating free with paying adult....however, there was barely any food out. I appreciate they have a reduced menu on the lunch time, but the trays were almost empty and the staff were incredibly slow at putting any more out. We found ourselves wandering around looking for any trays with food in it! Also, the labels for the food weren't always correct meaning we didn't know what was in. The kids were disappointed there was no chocolate fountain and low selection of desserts. All in all, quite disappointed.

Went last night after the theatre and had an amazing experience. The children ate free on their half term offer which was such a good deal given the amount of food on offer and the fact you can keep going back for more. Drinks are reasonable aswell which was a surprise given its in the centre of York. The variety of food on offer was so good and the quality was fantastic. Not sure what I had expected but it completely went above those expectations. The children had an amazing time with the chocolate fountain and the amount of freshly cooked food that was available on the live cooking stations was exceptional. We are already sorting another date out to go back

Really nice food,great choice if not too much choice ! Beautiful desserts. Staff really friendly and helpful,lovely decor.Went as a couple but we will be back with our children as there is something for everyone. Could not find a fault very happy

Modern friendly restaurant, we were booked in for 4pm and they were still serving the lunch menu which had plenty to choose from. Not sure why all customers were placed in the same area and not spread out, can only summize it was because it was valentines. Just felt a bit close to other diners. Waitresses very friendly and helpful. This was a birthday meal.

We went for lunch and chose from the two course menu. The food was great, and the service was excellent - attentive and friendly. Can't fault it. Although it was very quiet when we were there, the country pub ambience was lovely.

Food was good but when we arrived a lot had ran out and we waited about 20 mins for more food to be filled back up. This wouldn’t have been too bad if we didn’t only have an hour as we were told the kitchen shuts at 2:30 but nothing on the website said this when booking for 1:30, if it did we would’ve booked a different time. We also had to pay full price even though we didn’t get full time which I don’t think is fair.

The service was lovely, the cats were adorable and I had an incredibly fun and relaxing time. The food was delicious especially the hot chocolate. Definitely will be coming back often

Excellent food and service. Very friendly staff and efficient even with the restaurant been busy, good atmosphere. Only downside was they ran out of a dessert which we really wanted.

Excellent meal for a party of 8 including a toddler. The staff were pleasant and knew what they were doing. Any requests were dealt with quickly. The food was tasty and hot. The portions are large so it's good value for money.

Excellent food and service. Lovely environment, truly enjoyed our visit. Will visit again when we are next in York.
