Great food after a night out or for a quick tasty tea when U can't be bothered cooking!

I visited the Bierkeller for the first time last weekend and had a brilliant time!!! I was visiting with a group of girls, before we got there I thought it would be full of just men and beer, but when we got there was a great mix of really friendly people who were all up for joining in and having a laugh! And it's not just beer- they had plenty of wines and different drinks to suit those of us who don't really like beer!We booked a table in advance, which I would definitely recommend doing because it got really busy down there and lots of people were standing. It was really easy to book over the phone, they do it through some different packages. We went for the gold package and got some food and drinks and snacks included, they were really flexible and swapped our offers for beer with another drink for us. We had a waitress who came to our table and looked after us all night, the girls have German barmaid costumes on and got really into it too.When you go into the Bierkeller you feel like you are in Germany! It is all authentically decorated with long benches running down the room. It's probably not very good if you want a quiet evening chatting with your own group, but if you're up for having a laugh and meeting lots of people in the process then its great fun.They had a German band on which is when the place really came alive! I had never seen one before but they were great fun and everyone was on their feet! I would definitely come back and watch them again.I've heard that it's not as good during the week but apparently they have lots of new events on during the week with other bands and things so it might be worthwhile giving them a try too!

I have enjoyed Indian food all over the world, including in India, but never as much as at this restaurant. The service is exceptional, although be prepared to wait if you go later in the evening to what is a busy venue. I like my food rather spicy and there was no issue with my asking for dishes to be prepared to my liking. True, it is not cheap, but the food is freshly prepared, even when they are busy, and you will enjoy an unforgetable experience.

Me and my fiancé and friends went on Monday evening, and had a great night the staff were ace and the food excellent . Would highly recommend and value for money. Thanks

Clean, calm with excellent service and great Italian food. A real gem of a discovery. Will return again soon.

The restaurant is very pleasing inside and the meals tasty, but we went home and made cheese on toast as the meals were very small portions. A shame because the decor and friendliness were nice.

Ashiqs is a favourite of mine, friendly, comtemporary surroundings, great food, always fresh salad and fruit, and starters to die for. The banquet meal is stunning. By the time I get to the mains I am struggling to find room...but I usually do!!!

Great place for students to get good food at fair, honest prices. And it's bring your own booze!! Perfect for us students!! They will be seeing a lot of me and my friends.

I recently took a friend to dinner here and we had a superb ala carte meal. I had heard good things and seen a few of the reviews on here before we went and I must say it was nigh on perfect from start to finish. The quality of the food was shown off with expert cookery and the service was attentive and interested. Compliments to all involved at this fine establishment.

We went her a few months ago and I have been meaning to put a review up because it was very very good. We enjoyed the atmosphere and loved the food. this was proper authentic italian cooking, and the house wine was lovely. well worth a visit.

We had a lovely meal here. We don't eat out as often as I would like but when you do you want it to be special, and this really was. I would highly reccommend it to everyone to try.

Nipped in to browse the goodies and decided to stay for lunch. (was on holiday in Yorkshire) wonderful home made soup and coffee cake for pud was to die for ...and very generous portions. Excellent value for money. Pity I don't live nearer (200 miles away) can thoroughly recommend

Scrumptious food ! Probably the best Indian / Bangladeshi food I've ever had ! Defo worth a try ! Especially the special paneer lamb tikka ! My fave ! Yummy !

I recently visited Habibs. Everytime I visit Habibs the staff are real polite and make you feel welcome, and the food is delicious.... would strongly recommend Habibs, nice to attend with family and friends.

I've been here twice now and the food is delicious. If you've seen Man vs Food, you'll have some idea of what's on offer here - pulled pork hoagies, brisket, corn bread, mac'n'cheese, root bear beans, ribs, and finish it off with an ice cream float and peach cobbler. Always worth it.

We have been to the Castle almost every week since finding it, and it proved to be a good find. Food choice is varied, if a little dear for a pub. Food was of reasonable quality and decently cooked, that is why we often went for a change from our usual restaurant venues.However, our last visit on Sunday the 16/9/2012 and I mean THIS WILL BE OUR LAST EVER VISIT, was an UTTER DISASTER.Let me say first, the Young lady who served us was Polite, Efficient, Conscientious, Friendly and could not have been better or nicer… No, the problem was with the Kitchen entirely I had the Duck Breast, a couple of the centre slices were edible, just, but a couple at each end were over cooked and very hard. My wife had the Pork which was overcooked and dry and chewy, as overdone pork invariably is, so we left almost all of the meals. But as we were paying the full price for it, we asked to take the meats home for our cats. Even then we were not too upset, as we are retired we dine out several times a week, so are used to the occasional slip-up.Out came the meats for home, rapped in a bit of Cling-film. My wife said it looked very small for what we had left, so she opened it at the table.. Some comedian in the kitchen had put just a bit of the overcooked Pork fat and the very end dark hard bits of Duck in the cling-film…. The rest of the meats were missing. Obviously this had been done intentionally, and shows a total disrespect for the Customer, and what can happen if you send anything back.. As we always have drinks and wine with our meals, The Castle has lost approximately £60 – 70 on a regular basis, this may not matter to them, but there are many venues happy to cater for customers better than this……

Best Bangladeshi/Indian food in West Yorkshire and also very cheap; delicious, I strongly recommend you to try it!
