AWESOME!
Chiquito Restaurant and Bar – BatleyOur relatives in Shipley brought us here for dinner. I was absolutely captivated by the setting and the ambience of the restaurant. I particularly like the menu which changes every month. You must have a brilliant chef to think of new dishes every month. Is there any chance of sending him/her to the USA? We had a most delightful meal.
Dandelion and Burdock – Sowerby BridgePossibly the worst Turkish 'type' food I've ever had. My wife had Iskende: terrible tomato sauce and waiters that are apparently deaf. Even the bread was crap. Nul points
Kapadokya – YorkJust love this place ,always well presented friendly staff, great value carvery, great choice of sweets, booked again this Saturday just as a treat for the 4 of us.
Millstone, The – DoncasterWe have come from the USA to visit my uncle and aunt. They brought us here on Saturday evening. What a wonderful place, situated in such a picturesque setting next to a flowing river! There was so much choice on the menu that we wanted to come back again and again to sample the other dishes. We had a most wonderful meal. We understood why the Vegetarian Society voted this as the Best Vegetarian Restaurant. We wish we could have something like this in the USA.
Dandelion and Burdock – Sowerby BridgeThe George at Wath has been bought from Enterprise Inns and will re-open as a Free House in September 2009 after a complete refurbishment.
The George at Wath – RiponWe brought our niece and her husband to the best restaurant in Bradford. When we arrived we found every table occupied! However, Bobby was a real angel. He smiled and very calmly assured us that if we waited awhile he would find us a table. Sure enough, a table was found for us and we had a most enjoyable meal which delighted our young relatives. Bobby, the fame of Prashad is spreading far and wide. Prashad will need to move into bigger premises. How about taking over the empty Odeon building in the centre of Bradford? Then Prashad could be the twin jewel in Bradford’s crown next to the Alhambra.
Prashad – BradfordThis was my 2nd visit to Chilli Lounge and again the food was absolutely out of this world, I had the Machli Biran (spiced fish) starter and the King Prawn Worri with special rice and a nan bread. Excellent service from staff who really looked after us in a superbly relaxing atmosphere. Will continue to recommend Chilli Lounge to friends and Family. Well done keep up the good work.
Chilli Lounge – HuddersfieldWhen spending a few days in Scarborough a couple of weeks ago we went to Scalby Manor on our first evening for the £3.50 carvery - such good value that we went each evening while in the area. Although always busy and most tables taken the turnaround was excellent. Staff always quick to clear tables. The veg and meat never ran out - always restocking. Would definitely recommend.
Scalby Manor – ScarboroughMy experience at Kendells was quite frankly the best meal out I've had in years. Unpretentious, yet classy, the interior offers a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, which is reinforced by the brilliant staff. I would be prepared to write a glowing review based on the service alone, were it not for the fact that the food I had was simply sublime. The menu is alluringly displayed on an expansive blackboard (all the better for frequent menu changes reflecting the seasonality of ingredients), featuring timeless bistro classics such as french onion soup, duck liver pate, salmon en croute and tarte citron. The dishes themselves may be typical of the bistro style, but the quality of the food was definitely atypical and positively outstanding. On seeing the prices, I was certainly not expecting the superlative calibre of the food. After just one mouthful of the salmon, I was ready to name my first child after the chef. We went for a pre-theatre 3-course set menu, which included a half bottle of wine per head. On arriving (late), our hostess quickly ascertained that we needed to be at the theatre afterwards, and consequently ensured that our courses were served swiftly (without feeling rushed), as well as ordering us a taxi (the restaurant is next door to the Playhouse, but we were going to The Grand). Overall, the experience was one I would love to re-experience, and I would recommend this bistro to anyone and everyone. I wish I lived in Leeds so I could go back whenever I wanted!
Kendells Bistro – Leeds City CentreWe came here for dinner here on Friday evening. Unfortunately, I forgot to book ahead. We found the place heaving with diners. Bobby very kindly said that he would find a table for us if we waited a little while. It had been raining cats and dogs all day. We had told my niece and her husband that Prashad is the best restaurant in Bradford. They both agreed with us. It was the best food they had eaten for a very long time. So thank you, Prashad for your warm hospitality despite the wet weather outside.
Prashad – Bradfordwell what can i say it's a real joy eating here excellent service and even better food. if you like your Indian food then get your self down there you wont be disappointed,it's ok threw the week but i recommend getting there early on a weekend cos it get busy with the locals..
Samarkand – WakefieldThis used to be my favourite restaurant in the whole world. It had a wonderful lady maitre d' who welcomed you as if you were favourite relatives come for Sunday lunch. I haven't been back since the restaurant changed hands and a waiter stood behind my chair pointing out what I was eating. Now, I may be old fashioned but it appears to me that what you are eating should be self-evident. However, I had never seen lamb compressed into a cube and sauces served in shot glasses before. This was some time ago so I don't know if the restaurant has changed hands again. Oh, I do hope so!
Haley’s Hotel and Restaurant – HeadingleyMy wife’s relatives brought us here for dinner. The place was packed and I am not surprised. This place is unique and I suppose a lot of people know about it. I had Sweet Lassi, Bhel Supreme, Chole and Puris. It was just like being in India. Any chance of opening a branch in Texas?
Prashad – Bradforda group of ten of us went from work the restaurant was not busy only two other tables we found the dishes tasting all the same and the service was very slow worst of all we were over charged by ten pounds did not even get an apology and the meat was tough and rubbery will never go back
Shabana Restaurant – WakefieldWe visited the Aakash last night, and it was fantastic. The buffet was brilliant however there could have been a few more starters! I think the deared buffet would be better. The salad bar was amazing, friendly staff, very cheap drinking & an amazing atmosphere!! Will be off back soon!
Aakash Restaurant – CleckheatonAlthough originally from Mumbai, we are now living in Texas, USA. We are visiting my uncle and aunt in Shipley. He told us that he wanted to take us to the best restaurant in Bradford. He is absolutely right. The Faluda was one of the best I have tasted. The Dahi Puri reminded me of the snacks I used to have on Santa Cruz beach. The Chole and Puri were exquisite! I was told about Kaushy Patel winning all those awards for Best Chef and I am not surprised. Kaushy, please will you come to Texas and teach me your incomparable gift of cooking?
Prashad – BradfordWas staying at the George Hotel and noticed Chilli Lounge almost directly opposite and decided to give it a try, the deco was modern, nice lounge area, great clean restrooms and the food was fabulous, I had the Naga Thakri with a huge garlic nan hanging from the nan 'Tree'. I ended up taking a 'Doggy' bag as the portions are huge too. Will defo come again the next time I visit Huddersfield.
