Balti Palace – BarnsleyGood fun, very good atmosphere, good service, good food. Simple! Just Good.
Volare Mediterranean Restaurant – Huddersfieldsuperb evening of gastro delights. The staff are on there toes and look after you from the moment you arrive. Brilliant, can't wait to go again.
Design House – HalifaxAvoid this place like the plague. Appalling food only matched by the level of service. The people of Saltburn are counting the days until this pub is taken over and run properly. Such a waste of a fantastic building in such a glorious position.
Ship Inn The – Saltburn-by-the-Seathe pizzas at prego are really good also so is the pasta i thoroughly enjoy it there and the plates are really clean well done to the porters
Prego Pizzeria – WakefieldWATCH OUT FOR DOOR MEN THUGS!
Jakes Bar – Leeds City CentreMy friend and I went to Prashad last week for lunch, what a little find!!! The flavours are amazing, really looking forward to going again and would really recommend this restaurant to family and friends.
Prashad – BradfordThis restaurant is brilliant!!!! I cannot put into words what a gem of a place this is! when we went it wasn't busy but there was a steady flow of people. I started with snails which were nice and garlic flavoured, my girlfriend had the French Onion Soup, which as stated earlier is gorgeous! then we had salmon and Salt Pork respectively which again were well cooked and lovely! cant comment on the deserts as were both too full! the waiting staff are great, by far the best i have seen, very knowledgeable about the dishes and cannot do enough to help! We will def be going again soon! everyone should try this place!
Kendells Bistro – Leeds City CentreI heard about Prashad from staff in the Bombay Stores a few years ago while I was undergoing retail therapy for the tragic complaint of "living down south". What a gem! I hardly need praise individual dishes as other reviewers have already done a great job but, for those in the know it serves the best Shrikand ever. I come all the way from Hertfordshire for gastronomic therapy - I envy you locals who can eat there more than once a year!
Prashad – BradfordI first visited Prashad years ago when there was no eat in option. When they later added the indoor munchies, I moved out of the area. Just my luck!. Whenever I go to Bradford I make my way to Horton Grange Road and I have to admit, the area does not look promising. How is it possible that a multi award winning chef who beats the pants off of the top chefs from major hotels and restaurants works out of a place tucked away like this? But there it is and there she is. The food is cooked by her or one of her immediate family. The food is served by the family. You simply will not find anything closer to home cooking in ANY restaurant in the UK. No exceptions. Oh, and yes, it is awesome!
Prashad – BradfordI visited Zouk a couple of weeks ago, and the open plan kitchen style was excellent. I was slightly disappointed with the overall layout of the tables, people seemed to be packed together like sardines, overall, the food was nice, (albeit small balti portions)... the portions in akbars and Mumtaz are much better. A member of the management was also there and he seemed a very friendly fella, mingling with customers, but one particular waiter that took our order was extremely unprofessional, and could not give us much advise or suggestions on the different dishes on their menu! i also agree with the earlier posting regarding the deserts menu, quite frankly a little odd mixing french deserts with traditional indian flavours... I probably wont be rushing back in a hurry.
Zouk Tea Bar – BradfordJewel of India : Truly A Jewel with mouth watering food taste and many to choose from excellent varieties specially the balti's that come in the brass bucket. set in the town of tourist attraction they have won hearts of many people that love to come over and over again . Excellent service provided by the staff And Manager it self giving a discount knowing it was our 1st time with them (made us feel like home and part of a family) when asked by Manger (Issy) Where i can purchase the balti dish (bucket) from because my grandma loved it and wanted it for her home, the manager told us and went away with a smile and return with a bag with a balti and placed it in front of my grandma bless him.
Jewel Of India – OtleyWe decided to give Brasserie Blanc a go at the end of May, dispite hearing 2 bad reviews from friends. First impressions were good, the ambience of the restaurant were excellent and the staff were warm and welcoming. I had the starter of the pear and walnut souffle and it was like rubber - it had obviously been made quite some time before being served and had been warmed up! My choice of mussels for my 2nd course was not available (i get the impression this is a running theme at BB, things being unavailable) I opted for fillet steak which was fine but nothing more than a good pub meal. 3 of us opted for a cheesboard dessert (£7each) which came on one plate and was scarce to say the least. Having been to many excellent French restaurants in Leeds such as La Grillade, where the cheese trolley is the highlight of the meal the portion size at BB was outrageous. Bitterley disappointed even more so when the bill was £50 per person!! Would not recommend this restaurant and wonder if Raymond has ever stepped foot in the kitchen or whether it is simply his name that this restaurant lives off. Go to La Grillade its so much better.
Brasserie Blanc – Leeds City CentreI went on friends' recommendation. Astonishing. It's a tightly packed little place with an unprepossessing frontage and a door opening OUT, but with the fabulous food on offer all minor quibbles are forgotten. The service is outstanding - "la padrona" recites all the specials for you in case the menu isn't sufficiently appealing, we had complimentary pizza with our starters, saute potatoes with our main course, and a free shot of liqueur. The food itself was freshly cooked, and you can see the kitchen staff tolling away in an area smaller than my kitchen at home. And the dishes were of a uniformly excellent, no really REALLY excellent standard - tasty, hot, plentiful and genuinely Italian. I cannot recommend the place too highly. I've been twice in one week. And I'll hope to go again soon.
Stefanos – KeighleyThe vensi was made by my dad and it taste great. when my dad had a restaurant he created the vensi.
Saffron Desi – MorleyPrashad is great! I live locally and find it great - it's a lovely little restaurant with more concern for good quality food than a formal atmosphere. While being just big enough to accommodate an evening out with a large group of friends, it is also cosy enough to get to have a quiet chat or speak to the waiters. It also represents very good value, and is a bit of a Bradfordian 'best kept secret' by locals and students alike.
