Prashad – BradfordI live and work in London and when I visit my Mum and Dad we always make it a point to dine in this superb Indian Vegetarian Restaurant our favourite place to eat out in Bradford. I have been to India on several occasions as my family on Dad’s side live there. Eating here brings back happy, nostalgic memories of my times spent in India and the meals I have shared with my family there. My favourite starters are Bhel Supreme and Pani Puri. We usually choose from Masala Dosa, Utthapam, Idli Sambar and the delicious Rengan and Lilva, an aubergine curry for our main courses. My favourite desserts are Lapsi and Sev. Kaushy Patel is a true Culinary Magician able to produce such mouth-watering dishes on the Prashad menu.
Prashad – BradfordHave just had the best Beef Stroganoff ever at this pub.also a good selection of fresh vegetables nice and crisp a very good pub with friendly staff and well kept real ale/
Grange Arms, The – Northallertonits disgusting
Rhubarb Triangle Brewers Fayre – WakefieldI am a French citizen and a vegetarian, teaching French in schools in Heckmondwike on a short term contract. As my contract had come to an end, I came to Bradford to bid goodbye to my vegan friends living in Shipley. They took me to this most unusual Indian Vegetarian Restaurant. I am very glad that they did because I have not ever come across another like it either in France or here during my stay in England. Although I have eaten in many Asian restaurants in France and in this country I had not come across a menu like this before. I was introduced to a whole new world of Indian vegetarian Cuisine. I had a Falooda, a drink made out of yoghurt, ice cream, noodles and many other ingredients that I cannot even name. It was absolutely heavenly, pure ambrosia. For starters we had Rengan Bhajia (auberjine fritters), pani puri, which I was shown how to eat! A puri is a small round, puffed, crispy, lightly fried, hollow wheat cake. A hole is made in its surface with the thumb and the inside is filled with a mixture of potato, chickpeas, onions, etc. Then it is filled with a tamarind sauce and the puri is placed in the mouth. As you bite into the puri the taste buds are teased and tingled with exotic flavours that are released! We shared a masala dosa, an utthapam and idli sambar, enabling me to have a taste of these different and unusual dishes. I was too full to try one of he wonderful sounding desserts. Bobby Patel the owner very kindly took a photo of the three of us at the table thus enabling me to have a record on my friends and also this wonderful restaurant. Bobby you are welcome to open a branch in my home town in France and you can be sure that I will be there every weekend!
Prashad – BradfordBeing half Thai I can honestly say don't visit if you expect to be served Thai food. Very bland and boring, will not be visiting again. The staff and decor are very nice though.....
Thai House Restaurant – HullThe quality and quantity were exceptional, and very well presented. Have been back a few times since, nothing has changed. Well worth a visit.
Thatched House, The – WakefieldGreenhead House, simply the best for food, wine and service.we have gone here ever since it opened and no other restaurant can match it for quality of food, consistently excellent year on year from day one, and service has never dropped below its high standard.
Greenhead House Restaurant – SheffieldMyself and a group of about 15 people went for a birthday night out. As we found on previous outings, after spending a large amount on both food and drink, we found extra's on the bill. When explaining that this was inappropriate we were told we were not welcome back to the restaurant. Avoid this restaurant if you don't want to pay more than you expect.
Royal Eastern – BradfordThis place is a haven for smack heads and chavs. I wouldnt go there ever again even if it was the last pub in town.!!
Coach and Horses – Doncasterbeen a few times great food, excellent service, not very busy, reasonably priced.
Nishat Tandoori Spice – ScarboroughI am a French citizen, and have been teaching French in schools in Heckmondwike on a short term contract. Being vegetarian I was feeling lonely and lost here, but fortunately made contact with a vegan couple in Shipley. They invited me over to their home for a weekend and took me to this delightful vegetarian restaurant. I had a leek, potato and goat’s cheese flan which was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately I was full of cold and so did not have the appetite to try the tempting puddings. You Bradford people are very fortunate to have this great restaurant that you can eat in. I wish something like this would open in my home town in France!
South Square Vegetarian Cafe – BradfordIf you would like a night of being ripped off and laughed at then you should visit. My local kebab shop serves better and more honest meals than the pretentious, stuck up, out of a jar laxmi farce of a restaurant.
Laxmi Restaurant – HuddersfieldWe eat out all the time and rarely get a bad meal; this was quite an experience... No STOP, I mean BAD experience! The Starter was microwave to death, rock hard kebabs! The main was so sweet I thought I was eating desert! We sent all the food back without eating and the so called chef accused us of being after a freebie when we complained!!! Freebie, surely we would have eaten it if we were after a freebie? Very bad attitude and we were made to PAY I’m utterly discussed!
Laxmi Restaurant – HuddersfieldI have dined here on and off over the last few years and have never been disappointed. The authentic cuisine, friendliness of the staff and quaint ambiance make this by far my favorite place to dine in Hull.
Bond Street Restaurant & Bar – HullExcellent food in a great atmosphere, you would be forgiven for thinking you are in Positano, alas it's just Batley, but don't let that put you off, the wine will help you dream. Currently my favourite eating place, an absolute must, see you Saturday.
Roberto’s – BatleyThis place takes some beating! I have been a regular there since the day it opened. The food is exceptional (as is the service) and with a price hard to beat! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Shuhag Indian Restaurant – PontefractThe vegetable crumbles are my favourite, - with varieties such as mushroom and almond; aubergine, olives and courgette; etc. The scrumptious accompanying salad makes it the most perfect meal. The soups are deliciously awesome too!
