Zucchini Restaurant – BatleyI really enjoyed Meze went their with my friend and the staff were nice and our waiter Bulent was very friendly and we there was a nice atmosphere. We went at 6pm but we heard that they have belly dancers and they dance too after 9pm so were a bit gutted we didn't get to stay for that but maybe next time. Price was reasonable and the food was really nice. If you like turkish and greek cuisine THEN ITS A MUST!
Meze Restaurant – BrighouseI think la rue is one of the nicest , relaxed restaurants in the shipley area, with a nice warm host to greet you on entry. I think the problem with most restaurants these days is that no-one takes into consideration customers thoughts, views etc.The food is top notch, value for money, and the tastiest desserts going! I highly recommend la rue! All restaurants should take a leaf out of their book!
La Rue Restaurant – ShipleyIf you want authentic Asian food and very reasonable prices this is the place to dine, you can even eat brain curry here if you are adventurous enough unlike me!!! This place has been around for years and there is a reason for this!!!!! This place is not licensed but if you want to enjoy a bottle of wine with your meal they are happy for you to bring your own.
Sweet Centre Restaurant – BradfordI was lucky enough to have the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, the food is absolutely amazing and this is a true dining experience!!! You MUST try this restaurant for yourself and I am sure that you will be as impressed as I was!!!!! Lisa P
Wasabi Teppanyaki – Leeds City CentreExceptional - Cafe Marinetti quite simply over achieves on every level! The smile on (head chef and owner) Mario's face as he surveys his customers appreciating all that is good about Italian food exemplifies his family's true passion for delivering a marvellous dining experience. We went last weekend and again for lunch this week. Too much of a good thing? Never!!
Cafe Marinetti – HorsforthFantastic atmosphere and wonderful food!!!! Put these two together along with friendly people who work there, especially Joe who truly understands what people want & expect, and you have the makings of a perfect night out!!!!!!
Cafe No.5 – Sowerby BridgeMy boyfriend and I have been to Little Tokyo so many times I've lost count. I'm a healthy eater and it's sometimes hard when eating out to find things to suit my tastes, and Little Tokyo is perfect. I love their Ramen Noodles soup, which keep me full for HOURS, and their steamed clam starter is delicious. The sushi itself is always perfect, fresh, and well prepared. Little Tokyo's hidden gem on the menu is most definitely the Pomegranite Iced Tea. refreshing and sweet without being overpowering, I wish it tasted this good when I made it at home.
Little Tokyo – Leeds City CentreBoutique bar full of pretentious nobodies who obviously think they are someone why????? when they work in bars and shops?? anyway this place is way past its sell by date it is scruffy and has gone down the pan since the days of when it was Velvet. Wouldn't recommend you hold any form of private functions here I know I wont and I wont hold any of my company events there either- organisation poor from the start be prepared to be disappointed.
Boutique – Leeds City CentreAfter hearing a sea of compliments about zaaras restaurant me and my partner decided to take a visit. Brilliant food. Brilliant service. Brilliant experience. I could say no less than but what a stunning effort Harry has put into creating zaaras, the passion really shows his love for Indian cuisine. We will most certainly return! See you soon!
Zaara’s – ShipleyHello, It would be a crime not to leave a comment after a superb meal me and my family shared. I would like to thank Harry Khinda and the staff and also the chefs for making our experience so enjoyable. I chose Mustard Aloo Gobi as my main meal, my tastebuds soared! I can now say it is my most favourite meal. My family shared the same experience, and overall it was a fantastic and memorable night out. We will definitely be returning in the near future!
Zaara’s – ShipleyWe went as a group and ate different things. All felt rough for a few days after.
Harrogate Brasserie Hotel – Harrogateexperience spoilt by yob like threatening behaviour - would avoid late at night
Black Horse Hotel – SkiptonWe have been to the Stroom in Pudsey 3 times over the past couple of months. The place is comfortable, the food is nice and the wine is good. The staff are very good and service is excellent. So all in all quite a nice place to go for a meal. I would score it 7 out of 10. We went with a group of 16, 12 and 8. I would not recommend going with groups bigger than 14 really because there is not room to fit onto 1 table.
The stroom restaurant and function rooms – Pudseyhad a lovely good priced meal there would go again
Boat Inn, The – Doncasterrubbish
Elephant and Castle – BarnsleyCame to Leeds on business, and was looking for a takeaway in the evening. Akbar's restaurant adverts were all over Leeds, and sponsoring Leeds city in Bloom at almost every roundabout. Their adverts were also in a guide in my hotel. So I assumed that they've got a lot of money to advertise everywhere, they must be quite a successful business with good food, so I thought I'd give the restaurant a try. The menu had a note attached that said that £1 will be added to main meals, and 50p to starters due to the increase in price of raw meat and poultry. I'm a vegetarian, so it shouldn't make a difference to me, but they still tried to charge me the extra cost, but they gave up in the end and let me have it at the correct price. I ordered Akbar's special vegetarian pakoras, paneer and chana balti and a family nan bread. This cost me £14.15 which is quite expensive, but my company was paying so it didn't really matter. I brought the food back to my hotel looking forward to eating it, but was very disappointed overall. The main dish was only half full in the tray, and had a thick layer of red oil on top, very greasy indeed. The nan bread was ok but a bit chewy, implying that the ingredients weren't of a high quality, as I have had really fluffy nans in the past at other take-aways. The starter was ok, and so were the 4 free dips and salad you get with it which was a bonus. There was mint yogurt, mango chutney, mint onion chutney and sweet red sauce with onion and a nice salad. Overall, I wouldn't go here again, as there food was very greasy and unhealthy. To improve, I think they should fill the takeaway tray for the curry to the top, and not use as much oil in the cooking, £6.55 is relatively expensive for a vegetarian main. This is the first time I've had a takeaway and left loads of leftovers 2/10. Very poor, don't believe the hype.
Akbars – Leeds City CentreRecently visited in a party of 9, service and food were terrible. We were only given the choice of a set menu (expensive at £20) and even then had to repeatedly ask staff to bring the food we ordered to the table. We were initially given 3 portions of rice and 4 main meals between the 9 of us depite ordering a set menu for 9! The food itself was badly cooked too, the meat had obviously not been cooked with the sauces and had little flavour. This restaurant was good when it re-opened but is going downhill fast, I will not be going back again...
