Napiers – SkiptonHad a lovely birthday meal at Thai Sabai on a cold wet January Monday! This place was excellent quality and value. All dishes really fresh and healthy and washed down with ice cold Thai beers. Service was also excellent. Anyone looking for unpretentious, great value Thai should try this place. Much better than some of the others in the area.
Thai Sabai – HeadingleyI've lived all over the UK and had many many curries. I would put the food at the Shama in my top 3 curry places i've eaten in. The Roti's are beautiful, fluffy and tasty! It looks a little old fashioned inside but thats just how a proper "Indian" restaurant in England should be! Nice and cold Cobra lager as well!
Shama Balti – Huddersfieldhave been many many times food consistent, service excellent. highly recommended. Infact we have been to all the jinnah restaurants and all are super.
Jinnah – FlaxtonMy boyfriend took me to Chaophraya for my birthday in August. The restaurant itself was absolutely beautiful, the service was fantastic, the atmosphere was great and it was the best food we have ever eaten. We will definitely be going there again next time we are in Leeds.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreI would highly recommend Napoleans.I recently went in the new year for a sunday lunch.Ive already booked to go again (twice)!Everything is absolutely spot on. Excellent all round, the food, the staff, the surroundings and price.Superb! Could not fault it. Im making sure all my friends become members. Be sure to book early.
Napoleons Casino and Restaurant – HullThe food taste good but have had food poisoning from there twice so will not be returning. Since telling other people have discovered I'm one of many that has suffered the same fate.
Akbars – Leeds City CentreCompletely changed! Same owners as Spindle Tree in Wakefield which has great reputation for good pub food. We are regulars at the spindle and went along to Darrens new venture, hes got it spot on again. Black Bull menu more geared for families and lovely food again. Service good, food good (as we expected) and lovely pub.
Black Bull – WakefieldTHANK YOU FOR THE EFFORT YOU AND ALL YOUR STAFF PUT IN FOR OUR 50th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, 20th DEC O7. WE WOULD RECOMMEND THE OLD POST OFFICE FOR ALL OCCASIONS.
Old Post Office Bar & Steak House – BarnsleyTHANK YOU FOR THE EFFORT YOU AND ALL YOUR STAFF PUT IN FOR OUR 50th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, 20th DEC O7. WE WOULD RECOMMEND THE OLD POST OFFICE FOR ALL OCCASIONS.
I have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions and never been disappointed, from the warm welcome to the stylish, modern interior and the fantastic food it is always a pleasure to dine there. Our last visit was on New Year's eve 2007, we booked a table for two at 7.30pm and the restaurant was fairly busy, we were seated a room off the main restaurant which is lovely, beaded curtains and round rug have converted an odd shaped room into an eye-pleasing circular dining area which is tastefully decorated in a modern thai style. The waiting staff are all oriental and extremely polite and helpful and the owner is ever present and circulates among guests advising on dishes where necessary. The wine menu is extensive and we ordered a rose (I forget the name -sorry) and they are reasonably priced too. While we were waiting for our food, they brought us spiced thai crackers in a basket, they are lovely and they will re-fill it free of charge if you ask! For our starter w ordered Tom Ka Guy which is a coconut flavour soup with Chicken - delicious. For main course we had Geng Massaman which is slow cooked beef with potatoes, Pad poh taek - mixed seafood with basil in a spicy red curry sauce, Egg Fried rice and Pad Thai - a traditional noodle dish dressed with crushed peanuts, the dishes are all coded with one to three chilli symbols depending on the heat. For pudding we opted for Thai Custard with caramalised shallots - a strange combination but very tasty - more like a cake consistency than custard. The bill came to a respectable £65 I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Thai food.
Thai Sakon Restaurant – Huddersfieldgood food excellent waitress service, pleasant surroundings, and most important reasonable prices. will most definitely be visiting again
The Hunsworth Brewers Fayre – CleckheatonExcellent steaks - especially the rib eye - probably best in North Yorkshire. Couldn't recommend it more. Great Yorkshire hospitality too! Not too pricey.
Blackwell Ox Inn – YorkAbsolutely the best fish and chips in the world - eaten there when I lived in Wales, then Leeds, Newcastle and now York. Best time to eat is early on - around 12 noon - if you go later it gets less consistent. Might be a bit pricey but the portions are large! Would recommend it thoroughly!
Magpie Cafe – Whitbyfabulous restaurant really lightened up my evening wiv ma m8z i recommend people should try this restaurant owt as they have delicious food and extremely friendly caring staff.
Anams Restaurant – Bradford24th December 2007 This is the second time we have dined at the Frenchgate restaurant while visiting Richmond and the food is a feast for the eyes and taste buds. Excellent is a superlative overused and rarely deserved but in terms of this establishment a grade "A" or "A star" does not do it justice. Menu - inventive and interesting. Presentation - works of art. Service - impeccable. Knowledge - impressive. Extensive wine list!! Value for money - Wow. If this restaurant was in the south the meal would cost a fortune. A faultless experience where nothing is too much trouble and the staff and owner are warm and friendly.
Frenchgate Restaurant and Hotel – RichmondGreat food, all homemade and hearty potions. I had homemade Black Bull Steak Pie, cracking! just lovely, my wife had a roast dinner pork & crackling I think. Smashing place, we have now booked every Sunday for our family meal, good prices too! No longer part of the Brewers Fayre chain, private owners now called Black Bull Fayre. Cute touch
Black Bull – WakefieldLovely food, we used to come but the food and service was poor, new owners have turned the place around very very quickly. We ate from the senior citizens menu, lovely scampi & chips, my wife went for fresh fish & chips, it even came with bread & butter! Lovely food, lovely service!
