Anams Restaurant – BradfordAn absolute wonderful experience. The staff are soooo friendly, they are spot on, the pizzas, pastas, starters & desserts are the best Ive ever eaten, definitely the best Italian restaurant outside of Italy, I REALLY RECOMMEND YOU GO
Prego Pizzeria – WakefieldI wasn't too impressed the previous time I visited, but was pleasantly surprised this time. The duck comfit was perfectly cooked and the desserts were delicious, although the crepe suzette was a bit overdone. Would definitely go back.
Browns Restaurant – Leeds City CentreVERY, VERY POOR OVERALL, BRING BACK CHRIS & DIANE. A GOOD LICK OF PAINT, BUT SHAME ABOUT THE OWNERS AND STAFF. THE FOOD, WELL, CHEAPLY BOUGHT IN, AND KNOCKED OUT FOR A HEFTY SUM. TRY THE PUB AT WELL, MUCH BETTER!!!
Green Dragon Inn Exelby – Richmondthis is the best tapas food i have eaten in years... defo best in Leeds and better than much i have eaten in Spain. since the change in management all the old cleanliness problems have gone and it is a fab place to eat
Dos Amigos – HeadingleyMonday lunch-time - excellent steak for only £4:95. Really looking forward to my next visit and would like to sample some of the other dishes - trouble is, that steak was so good.....
The Caddy Shack Clubhouse Bar & Grill – Elland£70 for two (incl. wine but no dessert - there wasn't room). Worth every penny. I have no problem in recommending this eating house and I will certainly be paying another visit. Extremely busy but service was quick and efficient. The magician was well worth £70 alone. It continued to be busy even after the cheap-skating, early-birders had gone home to count their pennies.......guess who is booking a table for 18:00hrs next time. Maybe "pricey" is unfair because you do get what you pay for..... and a lot more besides.
Orlandos Italian Restaurant – WakefieldWe make a habit of checking new restaurants in the Huddersfield and Sheffield areas, and frequently find average eateries that are exceptionally pricey for their standard. This was not one of them however, and we were relatively impressed. I was told by the restaurant manager the menu changes once every 8 weeks or around that, therefore what I think was a relatively safe, but classy, verging on creative menu has the potential to develop into an exciting, inventiveness full of choice. Well worth trying!!!! P.S. If attending soon go for the Spring Roll for starters....
Farmers Boy Inn and Restaurant – HuddersfieldFirst class presentation. Monday lunch-time but still plenty of trouble and effort taken to ensure an enjoyable meal. Lots of interesting variety on the menu. Well Worth missing a train for.
Head of Steam, The – HuddersfieldHelp yourself lunch-time buffet seemed expensive at £10:50. Until I realised I was full just on the soup. Excellent selection of cold meats and salads. Good beer and good quality food means that we will be paying a return visit very soon. A little gem but it is well and truly hidden.
Old Bridge Inn, The – Sowerby BridgeI am not a vegetarian but my daughter is. We have been to this restaurant 3 times and I never cease to be amazed how good it is.
Dandelion and Burdock – Sowerby BridgeMonday lunch-time - excellent steak for only £4:95. Really looking forward to my next visit and would like to sample some of the other dishes - trouble is, that steak was so good.....
CANT SEE WHY EVERYONE IS RAVING ABOUT THE FOOD.I THOUGHT IT WAS BELOW AVERAGE AND SOME OF THE DISHES WERE SPICELESS THE PLACE WAS VERY BUSY FOR A THURSDAY NIGHT THOUGH
Saffron Desi – MorleyMyself and my friends go here on a regular basis. It has recently been refurbished and now looks and feels very contemporary. The food is divine - easy the best curries I have ever tasted and the menu is varied. The staff really make this restaurant. They will happily chat and answer questions about indian cuisine and are very, very friendly. They never rush us and always make us feel welcome. It isn't licensed so take your own wine and beer - the staff are happy to open it for you. It's location means that it is often quiet and tends to do more trade with takeaways but don't let that put you off - it really is a first class restaurant better suited to a city centre.
Spice Garden – Pontefractnot one my favourite dining experiences. the quality of the food was lacking in flavour as it was drenched in sauce, the pizzas were mishapen and the wait was quite long, desserts however were nice and relatively cheap. conversations about between chefs in the kitchen were not an appreciated extra. overall an average night with average prices.
Prego Pizzeria – WakefieldGreat pub, good homemade food with lots of specialities, top restaurant food at pub prices, we usually go Thursday or Friday very happy friendly staff, we took friends sat night wont go again on Saturday as scruffy barman is rude like it was to much trouble to give you a table, luckily short blonde waitress was there she made our night, smashing place to eat just choose your nights .
The Bottomleys Arms – HalifaxMy family and I went to this cosy Leeds pub on a Sunday afternoon after a stroll down the nearby Leeds / Liverpool canal. The outside of the pub has changed significantly since our last visit in that the pub has a fantastic heated outside smoking area, very continental in styling and a lovely place to sit and pass the afternoon. The interior is still olde worlde as I remember it from my last visit and is warm and inviting. The most pleasing change I noticed from my last visit is in the quality of welcome and service we received. Everyone is greeted like an old friend, with genuine old fashioned hospitality. The beer is fantastic, a minimum of 6 different cask ales from local breweries as well as a more than adequate selection of Malt whisky. The food is a joy to behold, hot, tasty and restaurant quality, with service to match. Oh and the home cooked desserts are to die for! Will definitely be back to this quirky but friendly public house in the very near future. Recommended to all!
