R.E The slip in the once beautiful Beaumont Arms. The service leaves a lot to be desired, having ordered the house red wine at the bar it took ten minutes to reach our table and was chilled not at room temperature as red wine should be. The atmosphere wasn't as bubbly as it once was as much as the new landlord tried his hardest to liven the place up. After being constantly bugged by the gentlemen the food came and it had a lovely aroma, finally something was going right for our birthday gathering. I ordered the sirloin steak which was ordered rare and it came medium to well and i should know the difference as i am a chef. To the chefs defence there was trouble by the waitress understanding what i was asking for so the mix up could be directed in the direction of the service. I love steak but this one tasted like it had been cooked on a pan or a griddled used to cook many other types of food. Everybody at the table were happy with what the ordered but not excited as we used to be with other menus in the town centre. We still left a tip, thinking about it my tip should of been make sure everything is better in two Sundays away when we return.
