Visited Bay Horse a few weeks ago through word of mouth. I can honestly say the food was fabulous. Best Sunday Roast I have eaten in this City and we have tried quite a few believe me.

Bay Horse – HullI went to Red Chilli for Chinese New Year, but we had to wait for a table even though it didn't seem that busy. In the end we tried another Chinese restaurant, Mulan Restaurant. It had parking and a table available right away. I will try Red Chilli again, but not at Chinese New Year!
Red Chilli – Leeds City CentreWe eat here on a regular basis, and although the place is very basic and old fashioned (which adds to the experience), the food is excellent, especially the Crispy Fried Duck. Well worth a visit!
Mandarin Chinese Restaurant – HuddersfieldTried La Bella Vita for the first time and it was great. Service was friendly, food delicious and good value and there was no hurry. The waitress even brought us strawberries to go in our Prosecco! Will definitely be making this a regular eating spot.
La Bella Vita – GarforthSATURDAY NIGHT I HAD A MEAL WITH MY GIRLFRIEND WE HAD NOT BEEN FOR WEEKS. THE BAR STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND SO WERE THE RESTAURANT STAFF. WE HAD TWO MIXED GRILLS COOKED TO PERFECTION, WE WILL BE SURE TO RETURN IN THE FUTURE. GOOD PUB FOOD COOKED TO A VERY HIGH STANDARD.
Black Bull – WakefieldWe used regularly eat here but hadn't been to The Beaumont Arms in over a year as we found that the quality of food, service and atmosphere on our past visits had really slipped, which was a real shame as it used to be so good. Then some good friends recommended it again and told us that it has a new manager and that it was better than ever! Well, we weren't disappointed! The change was apparent on walking through the door. We went early Friday evening and there was a real buzz upon entering the bar, full of people chatting and joking. We were warmly welcomed by a very chirpy chappy, who we later found out was the new landlord Pete. We had a drink at the bar before our order was taken and my husband commented that quality of the beer was excellent and back to its former best. There was a good variety of dishes on the menu and several special fish dishes. A lovely waitress showed us to our table which was nicely set and candlelit. Our meal was lovely. The starters were delicious, the mains delicious and the chocolate brownie to die for. We'd certainly recommend the steak and the monk fish - all fresh and homemade, but we were also very tempted by so many dishes that we saw going to other tables. The staff were very polite and attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We're definitely going again and have booked for Valentines Day. If you want excellent restaurant quality food served in a relaxed, warm atmosphere, with a friendly and efficient service, book a table straight away - It's great to see this place better than ever! Well done to the new management!
Beaumont Arms, The – HuddersfieldI have been going to this restaurant since it opened, 4-5 years ago. Firstly, its run by a great guy, Abdul, and a team of young, friendly and efficient lads. The food is second to none. I must have had most items on the menu. Yes, you do take your own drinks, which cuts down the cost of the night out. Oh, yes , when we go, we are there all night. We like to have a break in between courses otherwise we can't eat everything !! The prices are good, for a 3 course meal(poppadoms & pickles, starter and main course) you're looking at a tenner. You must try this place, you'll not be disappointed.
Red Chilli Restaurant – CastlefordIf you want a great Sunday lunch in Harrogate go to William & Victoria Wine Bar on Cold Bath Road. Great value for money, service second to none and lots of atmosphere. Fantastic roast beef and Yorkshire puddings.... yum yum! The place to be on a Sunday.
William & Victoria Restaurant & Wine Bar – HarrogateWent for Sunday lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of food available for £6.50 each! Cracking Sunday lunch and much to our surprise dessert was included in the price! Will be going back again soon.
Thatched House, The – WakefieldI visited Damn Yankee not too long ago. I went with my wife and kids. The kids were quite happy running around and the staff didn't seem to mind which was good. They have a kids menu which has a colouring in section. The adults menu was quite large but my wife is a vegetarian and there wasn't much that she was able to have. She eventually settled for a bean burger, which was very oily and over fried...it didn't contain ANY beans but processed broccoli and carrot, which it did not say on the menu. The menu actually specified that it would be a bean burger, which it was not! Very disappointed! When the waitress came over she didn't seem at all bothered that we weren't happy about the meal she actually laughed! I was advised to have the large nachos for myself by one of the waitresses after I tried to order a small one. When I received the nachos they were huge! It could have actually fed my whole family. So I was a bit annoyed I was practically forced into ordering the (more expensive) large one. It would have been nice to have abit of honesty! The restaurant was quite busy when we went and everybody seemed to be crammed in. It felt as though we were sharing a table with the entire restaurant. Every mintue or so one of the many 'big boned' waitresses would push past knocking me. Nearly making me loose my drink. I think that the idea of being able to see the kitchen is very good. Except it's slightly off-putting when the chefs appear to be dirty and sweaty. As you may have already gathered I won't be returning to The Damn Yankee! I have been advised by my friends to try the one in Guisley near Leeds.
Damn Yankee – HarrogateWe have just stayed at what must be one of the best hotels in North Yorkshire. We had a meal there in October last year which was excellent and the host David made our day so enjoyable we thought we would book again and stay overnight. We stayed in the Mousey Thompson room which is beautiful and luxurious it has a massive oak bed with a wonderful comfortable mattress and magic pillows, remote control shower, and jacuzzi bath. The meal was once again out of this world and the service excellent,David is so knowledgable and helpful without being overbearing. The Frenchgate has the rare combination of serving excellent food and providing excellent service we enjoyed it so much we have already booked again. On a scale of 1 to 10 the Frenchgate deserves 11.We are counting the days to our next stay.
Frenchgate Restaurant and Hotel – RichmondGood choice of food and a great set price so you don’t get a shock when you get the bill. The owners are extremely friendly and remember faces well, and the staff clear your plates away while you have gone for your next course. Highly recommended and perfect for any occasion.
BC’s – Bradfordhome made chips,good steak,fantastic service.
Barnsley Oak – PontefractGreat pub, just eaten from the Carvery, which must be the best in the area. I had all 3 meats and helped myself to loads of veggies and roast potatoes! Probably the largest Yorkshire puddings Ive seen in a long time. Amazing value for money. Normal menu also available. Great place, great value for money
Black Bull – WakefieldI absolutely loved this place. The owner was so friendly and helpful, the service was pristine and the food was unbelievable. So reasonable. Had the baked prawns with ginger and spring onion glass noodles. Divine. Literally. Went after reading in H2B magazine that the place had been awarded best Oriental restaurant in Yorkshire. The owner didn't even know! Bless him. No pretention no rice in pineapples just fab food and lovely staff. Best Thai known to man.
Thai Sabai – HeadingleyI last visited this restaurant in 1992 and it was excellent all round. I visited it again last week and all was not well. Service was hurried, food not up to their usual standard. The chicken saag & chicken pasanda were anything but authentic. They tasted nothing remotely like they should.
Doncaster Tandoori Indian Restaurant – DoncasterThis is the best curry house in Worksop - great food, great value and friendly helpful staff...if you visit Worksop, make sure you try it - they do takeaways too
