The food and the service was outstanding!very quick service even the chef came out to ask if we had enjoyed are meal. EXCELLANT

for a cheap tasty meal with friendly service cant be beaten. sunday lunches just like mum used to make and not the usual school dinner types. book early for Christmas meals so as not to be disappointed.

The food was very tasty and good value. I enjoyed the free olives aperitif. The salad accompanying the main course was delightful, as were the home made chips. I chose pork fillet steak with a peppercorn sauce and was definitely not disappointed with it. I think we were overcharged for the drinks though. A very small bottle of orange juice was £1.75.

This a regular eating place for us....probably the best and smartest in Rotherham. Service is excellent and very friendly and the food is to die for ! Recommend that everyone visits this superior restaurant. The lunch time menu is also extremely good value.

I have visited the Stansfield Arms on numerous occasions and have always found the food to be of a high standard. In the dining areas the predominantly youngish staff are extremely presentable and in the main very polite. However, I suspect that the staff have been recruited for these qualities rather than any serving experience or skills - I might be wrong. I have been disappointed with the level of service on every occasion that I have eaten in the Stansfield. I have found it always very slow & a bit chaotic - kitchen losing orders/food arriving on the wrong tables....that sort of thing. I have not been back to the Stansfield for some time since a very disappointing two hour wait for a main course that never arrived! Visit on a quiet day, allow plenty of time and you might enjoy some good well priced food....but you are unlikely to see me there as I don't have the time or patience that I once had.

I have been going to amigos for 5 years now and since the change of management it has gone downhill. The prices have gone up, the food has gone down. They seem to serve mayonnaise with everything the old management would not be happy to see this food. Instead of garlic bread we got 4 slices of stale bread with a huge dolop of mayonnaise, the potatas bravas weren't even cooked properly and then they put the prices up. We were very very disappointed and we wont be going back there.

Gorgeous food, excellent service and all at a very reasonable price. What more can be said!

nothing at all special about this place only average curries free poppadums with meal but these arrived when we had finished our starter

An absolute wonderful experience. The staff are soooo friendly, they are spot on, the pizzas, pastas, starters & desserts are the best Ive ever eaten, definitely the best Italian restaurant outside of Italy, I REALLY RECOMMEND YOU GO

I wasn't too impressed the previous time I visited, but was pleasantly surprised this time. The duck comfit was perfectly cooked and the desserts were delicious, although the crepe suzette was a bit overdone. Would definitely go back.

VERY, VERY POOR OVERALL, BRING BACK CHRIS & DIANE. A GOOD LICK OF PAINT, BUT SHAME ABOUT THE OWNERS AND STAFF. THE FOOD, WELL, CHEAPLY BOUGHT IN, AND KNOCKED OUT FOR A HEFTY SUM. TRY THE PUB AT WELL, MUCH BETTER!!!

this is the best tapas food i have eaten in years... defo best in Leeds and better than much i have eaten in Spain. since the change in management all the old cleanliness problems have gone and it is a fab place to eat

CANT SEE WHY EVERYONE IS RAVING ABOUT THE FOOD.I THOUGHT IT WAS BELOW AVERAGE AND SOME OF THE DISHES WERE SPICELESS THE PLACE WAS VERY BUSY FOR A THURSDAY NIGHT THOUGH

Monday lunch-time - excellent steak for only £4:95. Really looking forward to my next visit and would like to sample some of the other dishes - trouble is, that steak was so good.....

£70 for two (incl. wine but no dessert - there wasn't room). Worth every penny. I have no problem in recommending this eating house and I will certainly be paying another visit. Extremely busy but service was quick and efficient. The magician was well worth £70 alone. It continued to be busy even after the cheap-skating, early-birders had gone home to count their pennies.......guess who is booking a table for 18:00hrs next time. Maybe "pricey" is unfair because you do get what you pay for..... and a lot more besides.

We make a habit of checking new restaurants in the Huddersfield and Sheffield areas, and frequently find average eateries that are exceptionally pricey for their standard. This was not one of them however, and we were relatively impressed. I was told by the restaurant manager the menu changes once every 8 weeks or around that, therefore what I think was a relatively safe, but classy, verging on creative menu has the potential to develop into an exciting, inventiveness full of choice. Well worth trying!!!! P.S. If attending soon go for the Spring Roll for starters....

First class presentation. Monday lunch-time but still plenty of trouble and effort taken to ensure an enjoyable meal. Lots of interesting variety on the menu. Well Worth missing a train for.
