My wife and I visited the Kings Arms for an evening meal, while on a walking holiday in Wensleydale. It is an atmospheric old pub, located in the picturesque village of Askrigg, There were plenty of options on the menu and the food and service was excellent.

Little Sicily – BridlingtonNo complaints about the food. Very nice with generous portions. Been twice and both times the service was incredibly slow. Had to wait an age to get asked for our order and then another long wait for the food. The table next to us got served before us despite them arriving 15 minutes later than us. Not enough staff I think. One was taking drink orders and another cleaning tables but it seemed a third member of staff was the only taking food orders. If the service improved I would definitely recommend the place to others.

Excellent service and good choice of food on the menu: we chose 2 course:- starter and main course with a bottle of white. Chicken Pate was exceptional with salad toast etc. Rump steak cooked Pink was delightful - it was cooked to perfection along with super French Fries, fab Salad with dressing, and mustard & mayo dressing for steak/chips etc All 10/10

Tabby Teas – SheffieldCome here whenever we're over in Bridlington and as ever it was superb. Lovely atmosphere, great service from the friendly but never fussy team and the food, wow! We had parmigiana melanzane with the stilton, tomato and chilli garlic bread followed by lobster ravioli and seafood tagliatelle and it was all delicious. Generous portions and cooked to perfection. Shared a biscoff cheesecake for pudding that was devine.

WS moved to another table in restaurant that was available after all !! Been quite x as few times now and it always says on the menu outside that you have queen or scallops - never available, creme brûlée never available !!!’ Overall lovely meal but please have on the menu what you advertise !!!!
