Excellent service and food. Special Balti was awesome, better than Akbars!
Moghul Balti House Restaurant – HorsforthWe have been a few times since Rusticos has been open. The food is good and the service is even better a good friendly atmosphere with very helpful staff. I cannot fault this place at all. I ask for a beer that was not on the menu and on our next visit they had it for me.
Rustico – WakefieldGood range of food and wines for a hotel. Service friendly and warm, the food was excellent, tasty and well cooked. I would return
City 3 Restaurant – Leeds City CentreWe've been eating here for about 3 years and it never fails to satisfy! Great food including great Vegan/ Vegetarian choices all at a very reasonable price. A true little gem!
Fuji Hiro – Leeds City CentreMyself and my Fiance have been to the Foundry a number of times and always enjoyed the excellent service and food. As we had family up for the weekend I thought it was a perfect time for them to enjoy the same. Although the food was still amazing the manager / owner was rushing us to take the order and came back five times. I realise that the restaurant has two sittings 7.15 & 9.15 but this ruined the evening and we were still done in time. Surely a restaurant of this class doesn't have to do this? Unfortunately the Foundry is getting complacent which is such a shame.
The Foundry – Leeds City CentreIts local to us so we go here fairly regular. The food is always to the same high standard and the staff are really nice. To say its a chain, I think its unusual to find such good food as the quality is usually poor. My hubby loves his steak and they always cook it spot on. Really good value for pub grub.
Rhubarb Triangle Brewers Fayre – Wakefieldnot the best restaurant i have to say. As someone who is well-travelled and have passion about food, this place is far from authentic. Its more like a Chinese takeaway than Japanese. On top of that there were too much MSG in the food (No MSG added written on the window- what a lie!), greasy and the tempura is heavily battered!!! Given that there is no much choice of Japanese eating place in Leeds, this probably considered appropriate. Should try Fuji Hiro, or British own Yo Sushi for better sushi. i'll probably wouldn't come here again by choice. If i do, probably because i am coming with colleagues or friends who hasn't got enough exposure about Japanese food. The only pros about this place is the extensive choice of the Japanese bottle beer which are rarity in Leeds and remind me of my days of backpacking in Japan. (minus the whisky tho- the only Japanese whisky that they have is the 'cheapest' version that you could find in Japan. Anyway, whoever is a virgin in Japanese Food and willing to try this restaurant, feel free!!! Judge it yourself!.
Little Tokyo – Leeds City CentreWe had two visits to the Frenchgate in January 2009 and were thoroughly spoilt. Excellent wine list, delicious food ,superb room and our host David and his staff were brilliant and knowledgeable. On both trips we took one of our children who found the food "devine"... Would definitely return as the town of Richmond is a really interesting place to visit with or without children.
Frenchgate Restaurant and Hotel – RichmondI have been visiting this great little place since the day it opened and have have always been impressed by the quality of food and standard of service which is friendly and efficient. The range of food on the menu is impressive and there is a fabulous choice of breads/ bagels/wraps to go with the imaginative fillings. Always worth a visit when in town!
Cuckoos Coffee and Bagel Bar – HullThe service at Chaophraya is appalling if you go there late in the evening. My party of three rang early in the evening to check that it would be ok to arrive at 10pm (restaurant closes at 12am). We were assured that 10pm would be absolutely fine. We arrived at 10pm as planned and it was immediately obvious that the waitresses just wanted to get us out as soon as possible so they could go home probably. We were rushed into ordering. The wine menu was taken away without us even being asked if we wanted any. The starters appeared after literally 2 minutes and weren't very hot - freshly cooked? Don't think so. One waitress seemed to be extremely impatient and stood literally 2 metres away from our table and just stared at us the whole time we were eating. This made the whole experience really uncomfortable. The waitress then cleared the table and poured the remaing mineral water, spilling lots onto the table, she didn't even come back to clean up after herself. After that the bill was plonked onto the table. We were counting out the money and then the dish was immediately taken before we'd even finished putting all the money into it. Basically it was the most rushed meal I've ever had. This service is the worst I have ever experienced, anywhere on the planet, for any cost! Chaophraya is not cheap and the food isn't even that great either. Do yourself a favour and go to McDonalds instead - the food and service are better.
Chaophraya – Leeds City Centreas always the food was excellent - and Diane is quite hot!
Zachary’s At Fulneck – PudseyThis is an excellent eating place- the Shoulder of Mutton on the menu is superb. The service is good and very friendly. They always have a menu for those suffering from Coeliac disease (Needing Gluten free food)
The Shoulder of Mutton Inn – HarrogateJust tried this place on the back of these review - we were not disappointed. Lovely meal - sea bass with pesto and posh fish & chips. Lovely service & good ale. Busy on a Monday night, which is always a good sign. Recommended.
The Three Houses Inn – WakefieldWe had a great Sunday lunch here. The weather was a real mix - spells of rain, sleet and even snow! So it was good to sit near the fire in this cosy cafe. We had Chickpea, Peas and Spinach Curry with Pitta bread and also a Mediterranean Vegetable Crumble. Both came with very imaginative, scrumptious salads. We also had a warm, plum and apple slice with soya cream. It was wonderful cooking and we had a most pleasant meal experience. We shall certainly come again soon.
South Square Vegetarian Cafe – BradfordLoved the atmosphere in this restaurant - felt very relaxed and very authentic (although others may disagree with me on that). The crystal prawn dumplings and the chicken katsu bento box were delicious and very filling, so I couldn't manage anything heavier than lychee ice cream for dessert, but that was also excellent. Will definitely visit again!
