This place was recommended to me by a Chinese friend - always a good way of judging a Chinese restaurant. The food is excellent and the place is decorated beautifully.

Maxis – Leeds City CentreI attended a wedding here and stayed overnight. Everything was fantastic. The only downfall is that I was going to book my wedding her but they are not too keen on a lot of children attending, which is inconvenient since there are 50 nieces and nephews in our family.
Corn Mill Lodge Hotel and Restaurant – HorsforthFood is delicious but service is VERY slow.
Cafe Rouge – Leeds City CentreAbsolutely one of the best restaurants in Harrogate. Certainly my favourite, for the simple reason that on every occasion I have dined here, the whole experience has been superb and completely faultless. Very much a cosmopolitan Italian restaurant in style, the food is sublime, and the service impeccable. In fact, the waiting staff, most of whom are generally quite young, are not only a credit to the restaurant, but also to their generation - one which is sadly so often out of its depth in this field. I would definitely recommend the scallops, followed by the beef fillet - cooked blue if you're man enough, finishing with the semi fredo. My wife however opts for the mozzarella, and the risotto, but whatever you order, I am confident you will not be disappointed. Some people may feel the menu is quite expensive, but this is one restaurant where you certainly get more than you pay for, and represents outstanding value for money. Remember to book early.
Sasso – HarrogateFamily owned traditional Italian restaurant, slightly away from the town centre but still only a worthwhile five minute walk. Very good pasta and pizzas. Good, relaxed atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
Luigis – HarrogateSurely Harrogate's longest standing Tex/Mex style restaurant, and I think still the best. Despite changing hands several times over the years, it has always retained the relaxed and informal atmosphere backed up by the now classic menu that I first experienced back in the 1970's. Smoking is barred during the early evening, so it is a good place to take children - although I personally don't feel their trade would be adversely affected if they implemented a total smoking ban. Food is very good, and you get plenty of it. The Ultimate Nachos is a must (even I struggle to finish the large one!), and the range of burgers and steaks easily matches the excellent Mexican food. I would also recommend you sample the wide range of cocktails they offer.
Damn Yankee – HarrogatePricey, but none the less an outstanding dining experience. Good selection of dishes to suit most tastes. I would definitely recommend the tuna. If you are feeling flush, give it a try.
Clocktower Restaurant at Rudding Park Hotel – HarrogateMainly unlimited buffet system, although they do also have a regular menu. Choice and quality of the food is very good, especially as crispy duck is included, giving you five courses for the same price as you might pay for two mains from a takeaway.
Cheaug Won – HarrogateA very good menu very well prepared - obviously popular as well as we had to queue for a table! Worth a try.
Brown Cow – HaltonComing here is always enjoyable - the atmosphere is great and so is the food. Get here early though as it gets REALLY busy.
La Tasca – Leeds City Centrei think its very great
Blue Sky Cantonese Restaurant – BradfordI cannot praise the management and staff enough for making my wedding day so special. Everything about our wedding reception was superb. My gratitude and thanks to all involved
Harewood Arms Hotel and Restaurant – HarewoodThis place is a particular favourite of mine - my fiancé and I go there a lot since the food is excellent. Everything comes in huge portions and is always delicious. The service is very good and the atmosphere is something really quite special - notice in particular what they do when a birthday cake comes out!
Frankie and Bennys – Leeds City CentreThe buffet meal is fairly average, but the service was OK and the restaurant itself is pleasant. The takeaways from here are generally good although there is a tendency for different dishes to be cooked in the same generic sauce.
Kings Cantonese Restaurant – BradfordIf you like to take your time over meals in a slow relaxed atmosphere then this may not be for you. If, however, you want to taste the best curries in the world together with a fantastic range of starters, dips and Naan breads then this is definitely the place for you. The liver Tikka and Massala fish starters are especially tasty. One teensy criticism. Last time I went the traditional Indian music had been replaced by chart music which I thought detracted from the overall feel of the place. But overall, good value, friendly service, great curries and the wine selection isn't bad either.
Akbars Balti Restaurant – Bradfordfantastic meal! lovely atmosphere, but a but pricey. I recommend everyone to go, Is outside of leeds, but makes a nice change to the bustle of leeds
Woodlands Hotel – MorleyMaxi's in the light is the best Chinese I have been to, service is top class, all the staff are friendly, never had any problems with the food, plenty to choose from, and for £7/£8 to eat as much as you want you can't go wrong. I highly recommend going here for something to eat.
Maxis – Leeds City CentreI like it, but have to agree that the food was a little off the wall for the type of place that it was. I got the sea bass it ruled
