I had very good meal in La Besi and good time
La Besi Restaurant – Leeds City CentreI have only just found out about this restaurant by reading a glowing review in the Metro newspaper, which just kept harking on about the high quality of Sukhothai food. All I can say is that the food is awesome, the service exceptional, the restaurant is visually stunning and the bill extremely reasonable. Right in the heart of Chapel Allerton, just down from the Regent pub, which was handy for a few drinks before eating. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
Sukhothai Restaurant – Chapel Allerton – Chapel Allertonfantastic food, atmosphere and service
Wellington Pub and Carvery – Harewoodbooked a table for 8pm for 4 and although the restaurant was very busy we were seated within minutes of 8pm. Food was very good and the portions adequate. Staff were very good and service very quick. House wine and draft lager were free of charge as they temporarily didn't have a drinks licence so the bill for 4 was only £44. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Dos Amigos – HeadingleyI always go to Akbars when staying in Leeds - it is the best I have found by a wide margin. I prefer the ambience in the Greek St restaurant - but unfortunately they do not serve Liver Tikka. This is available as a starter at the Eastgate restaurant, and should not be missed. The price is extremely reasonable considering the excellent food and service.
Akbars – Leeds City CentreWent for first time after hearing good reports. Famous for steaks but I opted for rustler chicken which was delicious and very filling. Portion sizes were very good and sweets looked delicious (if you have room for one!). Cost £18 for a starter , two big drinks and my main so average for a meal with drinks really. Lots of group/parties providing good atmosphere though not the best place for a romantic dinner for two. lots of kids before 7.
Cattlemens Association – HarrogateI have lived in York for a number of years now and alongside Oscars, Bobo has to be one of the best places to eat and party! A definite must for all who like something a bit different and the food is outstanding.
BoBo LoBo – YorkThe North Sea is the most welcoming restaurant I have ever been. The staff go out of their way to welcome you, the food is delightful, and i was pleasantly suprised by the bill. I would recommend this restaurant to any Chinese food lovers.
North Sea – PudseyEating curry is one of our favourite past-times. My wife and I have eaten at virtually every Indian Restaurant in Leeds but we are very priveleged to have the Nawaab Khan just down our road. We were very impressed when the establishment was under the Jinnah's chain of ownership. Now, under independent management, I can honestly say that Sajid, the new owner, has achieved even greater heights of curried excellence. The menu is exhaustive with hundreds of varied speciality dishes such as Nosheri Lamb, Achari Chicken and Nihari Lamb which I find myself ordering time and time again. These dishes are all simply superb in terms of their taste, variety of flavour and quality of ingredients. They are much more authentic than the usual post-pub curry fare however there is still the option of more traditional tandoori dishes, bhunas, kormas etc which again are well above average. The interior is what you'd expect from an Indian restaurant but the service is excellent - very personal, friendly, prompt and attentive without feeling too intrusive. Poppadoms or side dishes are often offered as complementary. It is not the cheapest curry around but you really do get what you pay for - the tastiest, most varied, authentic and interesting curry experience in Leeds by far!
Nawaab Khan – RoundhayThe food is absaloutely great. The service and ambience are just normal. It's a cafe. How amnbient can it be? I recommend it to anyone.
Dutch Pot – Chapel AllertonNot only is the food great but the coffee is too !
Jinos Thai Cafe – HeadingleyJust a great night out, top food in a beautifull restaurant, with stunning service. 5 stars all round. Highly recommended. Definately hard to better on any level. Easy to park too. Raises the stakes to other other Leeds Thai restaurants, and Sukhothai leaps ahead of the competition in my opinion.
Sukhothai Restaurant – Chapel Allerton – Chapel AllertonIf you want excellent food in a pretentious atmosphere then look elsewhere. If what you like is superb food with attention to detail, quality and service - this is the place. A cheap meal it is not. A superb meal where very penny seems well spent is how we think of the place. A few days before eating here we were at a Michelin starred restaurant (which had better remain nameless). The lasting impression from there was 'nice try - but the price!'. At the Crab and Lobster we went away with the 'must come again' feeling. I rest my case....
Crab And Lobster Restaurant – YorkFantastic ambience with really attentive service, beautiful surroundings but the real winner here is the kitchen team, the food is wonderful, we have been many times now and never been disappointed, the varied and extensive menu never fails to achieve the highest heights of fine Thai cuisine. Always welcoming to afmilies and even very young children, a joy and a pleasure to dine here, we will certaionly be back again and again and again.
Chaophraya – Leeds City CentreCentral Park is a one of the friendliest places to eat in the North East and definitely my favourite! The staff are very professional and extremely polite, they go out of their way to make your visit a pleasurable one. Service is of the highest standard. The most important thing is the food - naturally: Excellent choice of wines - the wine list is reviewed and upgraded regularly and the house wines are excellent. The menu provides a great choice for all tastes and is always cooked to perfection. If you can't find what you want they will always try to accommodate your tastes/preferences. The prices are very reasonable for the standard of service you receive and the quality and quantity of the food. They have just completed a new upstairs lounge which is extremely well furnished and very tastefully decorated. It the perfect place to meet friends to catch up, relax and unwind. Overall a leisurely experience, you are not rushed in or out to make way for the next customer (as is the case in some other large restaurants on Linthorpe Road - no names - you know who you are!!). WELL WORTH A VISIT!
Central Park – Middlesbroughthis was a wonderful little find, attentive staff good menu and a excellent wine menu, scallops to begin with which were spot on, fillet steak stuffed with mushrooms and garlic this was just divine, we shared a bottle of pouille fuise-very good indeed, a little pricey two starters, two mains and a bottle of wine and a couple of drinks while waiting to be seated around £90.00, but i have to say overall it was well worth it- will certainly be coming back
Sous Le Nez En Ville – Leeds City CentreIf you love the gay scene this is the place to be. Bar fibre by far is one of the classiest places in Leeds. The foods great and so are the staff.
Bar Fibre – Leeds City CentreI'd never had Moroccan food before and I've been twice in a month. It looks like a cafe from the outside but the food is truly amazing! You have to take your own alcohol so it keeps it a reasonably priced meal - around £60 for 4 people, 4 courses. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
