The King Henry – RotherhamLovely food, I only had chip butty but they were really chunky chips and a Ciabatta bread, lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful and asked if we needed anything else. They didn't badger us and left us to ourselves. We meet there for our book club and they dont mind this in the least. Going with some other friends, it was so nice.
Kings Head, The – RotherhamI treated my family for a family meal. Altogether there was six adults two children the Story Teller was recommended to us but was disappointed with our meals. Ordered 3 mixed grills steaks were tough.
Storyteller, The – RotherhamMy partner and I have just spent 2 days camping here, and I can certainly recommend this site, a warm and friendly welcome awaits, and we will certainly will be staying again.
Hooton Lodge – RotherhamLovely interior staff nice and friendly only one issue staff continually interrupted our meal to ask for bucket back which contained sauces spare cutlery napkins etc. We could want more sauce or napkins at any time throughout the meal and was put out by their constant interruptions. However meals were tasty and a good value for money but please sort the bucket thing out other wise dnt bother giving it us in the first place :-)
Ring O Bells – RotherhamAbsolutly Fantastic Fish and chips, cant rate it high enough, must be the cheapest around...Keep up the true meaning of the word customer service. Only criticism is its always busy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Angies Plaice – Rotherhamjust enjoyed another lunch at the restaurant, would like details of Christmas evening specials and anything at lunchtimes please.
Garden Room Restaurant – Rotherhamgreat clean pub good food great service well large meal you wont go hungry here we will go again and make it a regular thing please don't all come or i wont get a table?
Manvers Arms – RotherhamI have been to the Drawbridge numerous times and never had any complaints about the standard of food quality nor service, I find the staff to be friendly and most welcoming, it is one of my favourite places to go for a meal and drink, its not a noisy place and kids are welcome as well
Drawbridge, The – RotherhamAfter numerous complaints regarding flat beer falling on deaf ears, looks like I will have to spend my money somewhere else!
Queens Hotel – RotherhamBest pint of Snecklifter in the Country. I was so impressed I had to have a few to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Then I had a few more and fell off the bench! Great pub. friendly Staff
Tabard, The – RotherhamRecently taken over and now serving real home made food. Great rural atmosphere and superb food. The sunday dinners take some beating! I've been several times since opening, and will continue to!
Hooton Lodge – RotherhamExcellent food. Excellent service. Open kitchen -> nothing to hide. My only criticism is that the food is a little rich for authentic plain Italian food, but I suppose that's the point, and also it is a little pricey, but have used many times and will many more. It's full most weekends which is obviously a sign that somethings right!
Elupo Pizzeria Italian Restaurant – RotherhamThe food here was actually not too bad, if a little greasy. Everything else about the experience, from the empty restaurant to the filthy toilets to the food-spattered menu to the inexperienced watering from the restaurateur to the frankly expensive food was bloody abysmal. Never again. Since this experience they've had buffets, all-you-can-eat and so on to try to attract custom and I've not seen anyone eating there for a year.
Zaiem Tandoori Restaurant – RotherhamFairly plain chain pub food. The last time I ate there I complained about the "Rosemary roasted potatoes" which were obviously deep-fried, and that is in fact the LAST time I eat there. Having said that, they do nice burgers. I wouldn't venture far off-piste though. One thing to be said is that this pub keeps good beer.
Hind, The – RotherhamThis is just Wetherspoon chain pub food, but I have to say it's fairly badly comparable to other Wetherspoon outlets. It used to be good but I had a burger there at the weekend - a GOURMET burger no less - and it came with no salad and undercooked chips. Well, what could be easier to get right than that? This place is (mid 2010) OFF my list of places I will willingly pay my hard-earned money for food. Good beer here though.
Bluecoat, The – RotherhamA lovely building. Very impressive. All let down by poor food. If you like mass-produced pub food you'll like this, but it's expensive. Three mains cost me over thirty pounds and my pie was almost too salty to be edible. A real shame because this is a beautiful building and a sun trap.
Earl of Strafford – RotherhamI haven't been here for a couple of years now after some atrocious pizza and dreadful stroganoff. I have noticed that recently they've been doing two-for-one offers and such. Business must be booming!
