Abu Daniel – LeicesterBest place in Leicester
Crescent Grill House – LeicesterThe food was very bland, spaghetti carbonora was mediocre at best, I have cooked better myself and have little to no training in food. The other meal, pollo pepperanara was an absolute discrace, it was literally a chicken breast covered in a tin of chopped tomatos with a few peppers thrown in, honestly zero flavor whatsoever. The service was bad, we never got asked if everything was fine with the meal (come on guys even the weatherspoons pubs manage this), bare in mind we were the only people in there and there were 2-3 members of staff just stood around, plus they forgot to write our order down therefore we had to ask three times for the bill. Why not just come over and be honest about the mistake, rather than make us wait 20mins then tell us, the order wasnt going to magically re-write itself you are seriously just wasting my time now. The decore was old and dated but I really don't mind that, all I ask for is decent food and service, we got none. Price is average, It's not expensive but you can eat in much better places for the same price.
La Dolce Vita – LeicesterTerrible . The food was cold and the noodles that we orderd had prawns in when we specifically asked for PLAIN . We then called them and they was making excuses and they didn't bother with us . It took them 1:30hrs to get here ! I would never go there again .
Big Wong – LeicesterFood is lovely, can't fault it. But on several occasions I have had a family gathering we have ordered from the Tamarind they have messed our meals up. We were sent starters instead of mains (guy told me I was a lair when I rang up). Second time we didn't receive all our order, not good when the meal comes to £60 £70. Still waiting for an apology.
The Tamarind – LeicesterMy son was at uni in Leicester and told us he had heard great things about Kayal but hadn't had the chance to go. So on a visit to see him we made a point of booking a table. It was without doubt the best Indian food any of us had ever eaten, absolutely fantastic! A very different and interesting menu and the quality of the food when it arrived was stunning. The breads were the lightest you could imagine and melted in the mouth. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive without being intrusive and the decor modern and airy. We have since been again and the experience was every bit as good. I couldn't recommend this restaurant highly enough! 5 Stars
Kayal – LeicesterAwful restaurant. Rubbish service. No hospitality manners. Not enough staff. Rip off menu
An Anajeeb Cuisine – Leicesterjust nip in for a bit of food, well just I what need, good food and drink and a top bar manager.
Sugar Loaf – LeicesterThe fish was very overcooked, I could have used it as a hammer! Chips are okay but the large is actually a very small portion.
Frydales – LeicesterMicroscope anyone? (also beware of businesses giving themselves a 5* review)“When I used to live in the area, I used a chippy around the corner. Than Frydales opened up and I decided to try them out with a friend. We both ordered a large haddock and large chips. Wasn't very big, by far the smallest "large" portion of chips and the haddock was the smallest I've ever seen. Tasted alright thou.Customer Service: average, gets the job done.Speed of service: Fairly quick. (Than again it probably didn't take long to cook the small "large" haddock/anchovie?).Won't be going back there, there are a few other Chip shops close by and one around the corner. Also, the review below sounds really artificial. The person below them had an issue with the size of Frydale portions also.Frydales: Please check your competition!!Also stop writing reviews for your own business!”
Frydales – LeicesterI go to your chip shop for my partners meals and my grandkids meals. I only could have the chips which I love but being that i cannot have anything with wheat in and have to have gluten free things, I missed my fish. Now I notice you do gluten free on Mondays which I'm very pleased about. Now I can have my much missed fish and chips and being so close to Frydales I can have my fish and chips every Monday. Thank you for doing gluten free looking forward to having them.
Frydales – LeicesterExcellent food good value for money, its actually real food. Pick it fresh you choose what you want and its cooked right in front of your eyes. I love it highly recommened www.wokin.co.uk
Wok In Wok Out – LeicesterVery surprised and impressed by San Carlo! Loved the fresh fish, and the service was brilliant. I will definitely be returning. A little pricey, but you do get value for money
San Carlo – LeicesterI could only find negative reviews on this pub/ restaurant, it nearly put me off going but I'm very glad I went. Yes, it was busy and yes, it wasn't easy to get served at the bar but this is obviously a popular pub and the staff were doing their best. I found the manager helpful and friendly, the food was good, the price was very reasonable with their 2 for 1 offer and our waitress, Hayley, was a star. Talk about multi-tasking efficiency! She seemed to be attending to at least 3 or 4 different things at once, was unfailingly polite and cheerful and our order was taken and our meal was served very promptly. Top marks!
Glen Parva Manor – Leicesterhi there does a guy called christos sill own this place or do you have a contact number many thanks.
Grimsby Fisheries – LeicesterVery nicy restaurant
San Carlo – LeicesterI had a fabulous night out with my friends 2 weeks ago. We decided to go to San Carlo to kick off the night which turned out to be a great idea. After few drinks we ordered different pastas and wine and we liked the ambient atmosphere. We will definitely go back there next time! Besides it is in the city centre and just a short walk from the bars we like.
San Carlo – LeicesterI recently had lunch at Forest Park Table Table with a group of about 20. We were well looked after, the food was varied, well cooked and well served. We were all very satisfied and hope to eat there again.
