Very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Thanks Alex for your superbly run pub. All the staff are friendly and helpful, and even though you couldn't cope with a full set of vegetarians, you managed to find an agreeable solution! It's a long way from Bristol but worth the journey!

The Dove is one of our favourite places to take our children to eat. The service is excellent, as is the food, and we always have a warm welcome there. The staff are all very kind and accommodating, and always go that extra mile to provide great service. The pub is very accessible, which is essential for us as our son uses a wheelchair. All round, a great place to relax and eat with the family.

Went here for our anniversary meal. As usal the food didn’t disappoint. Never had a bad meal here. We just love the food. We went mid week and was a nice atmosphere. Love Sunday lunch here. 10/10 be back soon

Excellent service, the girls were really accommodating with big smiles. Food was excessive usuand big portions. Definitely recommend taking a visit.

My husband turned 80 a little while back and I booked a meal at the Dove in Evington for a meal for 22 people to celebrate his milestone Birthday. Nothing was too much trouble for Alex & his partner. They organized special bubbly for the Birthday toast A cake made by our daughter-in-law to be cut up and distributed and kept everyone in drinks throughout. The food was delicious and our family coming from abroad all loved the traditional fish & chips which they were thrilled were on the menu. All starters and desserts were delicious too. I cannot recommend highly enough this lovely traditional pub and restaurant for anyone but especially for anyone organizing a special party. Thank you The Dove and all the staff and chef.

Came here for a catch with friends never been before but would definitely be back again! Food was excellent, great quality and really good value for money. Staff equally as good, excellent service great attention to the customers and overall and really wonderful experience. 100% would recommend and will be back soon!

We visited Sunday and as usual food and staff were wonderful. Would highly recommend the breakfast on a Saturday, or Sunday morning, excellent food, again great staff and lovely pub .

As always. Great food, great service & just a nice intimate atmosphere

Me and my family went for Sunday lunch for our birthday this weekend. We had Shania as our server. She was amazing. She was very attentive. A few of us on our table witnessed her in action with a very rude customer and she held herself well and was very calm even with all the abuse she got from the man. We explained to her how she should be proud of how she dealt with the customer, bearing in mind the restaurant was really busy, she tried her best to solve the issues for the customer. On to the food. Our food was all really lovely. I ordered the small eaters lamb shank and even that portion size was big. I’m glad I didn’t tackle the normal size as I wouldn’t have fitted in my lovely berry sundae.

Wonderful food, service with a smile, a good selection of drinks and good value. We look forward to coming back soon
