Opa Opa – Liverpool City Centregreat night food great staff and service top marks
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreThe restaurant was very busy. We had made a reservation for 4.30 with ample time as we were going to the arena. Our drinks and food order was taken quickly and the staff were very pleasant. We waited for almost 45 minutes when we thought it was taking too long . People around us were getting served. There then seemed to be a big issue in the kitchen We asked the floor staff about this and they really didn't know what was going on With no time scale as to when we would get served . We eventually got our food..lots of people complained. The food was bring taken off the bill. Food was at best decidedly average... We will not return. Although the staff were lovely and there was clearly a bit of an issue.
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreWent for food on a Saturday evening lovely restaurant lovely staff . and you could not fault the food at a very reasonable price Will definitely be back.
Souvla – Liverpool City CentreThis was around our 10th visit to What's Cooking, we usually visit Liverpool a couple of times each year and booking What's Cooking is our first job. Had to say, this visit very disappointed. Quality of food - starters very good, main meals average. Service - very poor, waited around 1.5 hours for starters, we appreciated the restaurant was busy but they didn't do food orders in the order they were taken it was just pot luck if your ticket was chosen, we saw guests walking out who had been waiting over 2 hours for food, but some guests were leaving after 2 hours having a 3 course meal. We chased our food, some staff rushed off their feet. They said could not let us know when we would get food because it was chaos in the kitchen. Waiting staff very apologetic, management not so. We chased again our main meals and these arrived a little quicker but some of the food was anemic. We are not complainers and we felt for our waiting member of staff, so paid bill and left, maybe a future visit will be left for a while. Thank You

Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreI booked a table for 5 for a catch up with work friends. None of us could fault it. The food was delicious and really generous portions. The drinks were varied and very reasonably priced. My personal favourite is the dank juice. The atmosphere was really chilled and welcoming and the staff were really helpful, friendly and gave the place a good vibe. Will be my bar of choice for visits into town in the future. Fantastic little find.
Dough Bar – Liverpool City CentrePartner said burger was okay but the southern fried chicken was soo dry and tasteless chips were rubbish
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreVery friendly staff with nice homely food and very reasonable prices.
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreGreat styled venue and atmosphere. Service was friendly and prompt. The food was served in good time and well presented. The burrito was actually an enchilada and did lack flavour sadly but the other parties enjoyed their burgers.
