This is the best Indian Restaurant I have ever eaten at. The food is delicious! Every person I have recommended it to has fallen in love with the place. An experience at Mayur is never disappointing!!
Mayur – Liverpool City CentreMy partner and I took 2 first time visitors to Liverpool to the shangrila last night and have never had such appalling service in all our lives. We were so embarrassed by the rudeness of one waitress in particular that we left the restaurant after our starter. She had an air of contempt about her and treated us as though we were a group of drunken louts.I am sure that they do encounter drunken diners late at night but we certainly were not.In fact 2 of us had not had a drink all night and were drinking coke.We were charged £12 for 2 soups and 2 cokes. The bill was virtually thrown at us,even though we had not finished our drinks or requested the bill. They also stated that there was a minimal order of £10,which was not documented anywhere, which we were informed by one of our guests, who was a police officer,is actually illegal.I can honestly say that we have never been barked at so disgustingly by a waitress before and would never return to the restaurant again.Avoid this restaurant if you wish to be treated with a pleasant attitude.Cannot comment on the food as we were too shocked to notice what it was like.
Shangrila Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreCelebrated a birthday with a lunch at Chaophraya. Excellent food, good service and lovely ambiance.
Chaophraya – Liverpool City CentreSERVICE WAS AT A HIGH STANDARD AND FOOD WAS AMAZING !
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreI booked a table in this restaurant four weeks ago, I had booked the VIP table for ten guests, when booking the table I offered to pay a deposit but was told that this was not necessary. I contacted the restaurant two days prior to the booking to confirm the reservation and was told that everything was fine. I arrived on the evening to be informed that they had no record of my booking.....when I asked to see their reservation book my name and reservation was clearly there....I pointed this out to the staff concerned and they told me that I no longer had a table and asked me and my party to leave the premises! I was very shocked at how rude and unhelpful the staff were, they had clearly given our table to somebody else....they made no offer of compensation and no apology. I have since spoken to a number of other people who have a had a similar exeriences, it would appear the restaurant are over booking to ensure that the restaurant it full at the expense of diners who are looking forward to an enjoyable evening. I would certainly not visit this restaurant ever again and was disgusted with the treatment I received.
Chaophraya – Liverpool City CentreWent for a meal here beginning of July. I cannot fault anything, the restaurant is lovely inside, staff are friendly and helpful and the food was outstanding. We had the set menu £25.00 each and the seabass was gorgeous. We then went next door to Palm Sugar for cocktails. Would highly recommend here.
Chaophraya – Liverpool City CentreMy wife and I went with family on Thursday of this week, while visiting'back home'I can't say how happy I was to have chosen Chaophraya, from the service the decor and ambience!! the food was out of this world superbly presented by staff who where more than happy to take care of you. I am so happy to recommend this restaurant as it ,no It's staff just show total commitment and dedication. We, my wife and I actually went back for lunch the next day, dare I say possibly better, but that could just be we had some time with just us. Go and support this wonderful restaurant, not expensive but not the cheapest, but probably the best eating experience I have ever had in Liverpool.
Chaophraya – Liverpool City CentreHad to return my meal which meant my partner ate alone while I waited for a replacement.. They offered me a cup of coffee for the inconvenience which I declined. A reduction on the bill would have sufficed but they refused to reduce the bill in any way even though they were at fault. As I had to leave for my train I had no time to argue the point with them. I would never eat there again.
Bistro Pierre – Liverpool City CentreMy husband and I went to this restaurant on Sunday 26th and thought this was very overpriced for what seemed a good menu and the atmosphere cold and uninviting. There was a mix on the service as one waiter was very good where as the other couldn't wait to clear us out. Sorry I won't be going again.
Il Forno – Liverpool City CentreI was most disappointed with the quantity of food provided, tasty but we left hungry and lighter in pocket, after boulibaise, barely wetting the bottom of the dish and my husband had monkfish very paltry portion.
Ego Mediterranean Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreMaybe not the fastest but certainly excellent food both in terms of taste and presentation. Highly knowledgeable and helpful staff. Lighthearted and fun rather than discreet and romantic.
Puschka – Liverpool City CentreRecently had a meal here and can honestly say it was amazing. The mussels are to die for and the mixture of breads with olives mmmm! Would definitely recommend this place every time!
Zizzi – Liverpool City CentreMy husband and I have been coming to Casa Italia for over 25 years and we also now bring our grown up children. It is the real taste of Italy - we used to go to Italy and come back to the Casa for a real Italian meal!! It is consistent, good value, good value and has a great ambience.
Casa Italia – Liverpool City CentreThis place is definitely worth a visit.the menu offers a wide variety ,the staff are friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.not to mention, the dessert menu is to die for!!
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City Centrethat is an amazing restaurant!!! i go there regularly, at least once in two weeks. and o always order the same dish because i never fed up with it - you must try TORTELINI ALA PANNA - its absolutely gorgeous!!! and portion is massive, my boyfriend always finishes mine!!! staff is very friendly atmosphere authentic - i fell like i am in Italy !!!! cannot wait for my next dinner there!
Casa Italia – Liverpool City CentreThis has got to be the best buffet restaurant in Liverpool, small on the outside, huge range on the inside. Small and cosy, staff are lovely and friendly. With its unbeatable price of £5.95 and only £1 extra at evening time, with seafood and crispy duck. I go with my family every week, as its affordable and my children love it. I've been to other buffet restaurant like buffet star and maysum, but you cant compare the quality and service with yums. So guys it is worth the walk up bolds street.....
Yums Oriental Buffet – Liverpool City CentreWe booked our staff party here for 45 people last night. It was FAB!! the food was beautiful and nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly staff! I am quite sure we will be going again and again..... Go there, it's Great!!!!
OSQA – Liverpool City CentreI recently organised a staff meal out and took a gamble on going somewhere I'd never been, and in this case it definitely paid off. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. The tapas was fresh and full of flavour, and the generous helpings of home made desserts were some of the best desserts I've tasted. And all of this for under £20 including corkage. I would highly recommend this to anyone, and all of the staff are keen to return.
