Lovely little place - good food and reasonable.
Bacchus Taverna – Liverpool City CentreSuperb food, ambience and service, stunningly good prices. Cannot recommend highly enough. Had lunch today-3 courses for £7.95 per person! Wonderful starter of chicken stuffed with black pudding followed by duck on a bed of creamed potato-the duck was tender and perfectly cooked with perfect vegetables. Sweets to die for, especially the crème brulee. Rustic French cooking at its best, and flawless, attentive service. Amusingly, french lessons broadcast in the spotlessly clean toilets. Do not miss this extraordinary place-I had never heard of it before today but will definitely go back. From someone who usually finds fault with other Liverpool restaurant recommendations!
Bistro Jacques – Liverpool City CentreAlthough the food, as many others say, was a delight the service, unfortunately, left a lot to be desired. To be seated and to order and then between each course we had to wait for up to 20 minutes and on each occasion we had to attract the eye of a waiter, as not once did anybody come near, to either ask to see the menu, order our next course ot to seek more drinks. I would suggest that if the restaurant wishes to achieve the accolade of a Michelin star, as many experts suggest, then it will have to a great deal more in the service department.
The London Carriage Works – Liverpool City CentreFast Service, food ok, only Greek open on a Monday night in the area!
Zorbas – Liverpool City CentreI went to La Vina on Saturday night with my date, although we hadn't booked we were put onto the reserve list and actually seated within half hour of arriving, despite being given a initial 45min waiting time. We were given a table at the far end, given the fact we were on a date - i think it was the best place to be, slightly away from the bigger groups of tables. The waiting on staff were attentive yet distant, not hovering over you but within earshot should we have needed them. We picked 6 tapas dishes in all; of which i can recommend the chorizo, stuffed mushrooms, patatas bravas and the king prawns in chilli&garlic. As far as i'm aware the bill was reasonable, although i didn't pay. With that in mind, i shall definitely be returning to sample the paella which i've been told is fabulous. Spot on for ambience, quality of food, price and locality. i'm hungry just writing the review...!
La Vina – Liverpool City Centremmm mmm mmm!!! this restaurant is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! so fresh and full of immense flavours!! i will now eat at no other Chinese restaurant. china town itself and its array of eateries are NO comparison!!!!! WOW! we ate their last night. and i've woke wanting to go back tonight! if only these guys done deliveries!!!
Mei Mei – Liverpool City CentreWe wanted a quick meal before the theatre, and stumbled across the Maharaja quite by chance. Quite the best Indian meal we've had in a long time, no lurid colours, and the fish curry was delicious. Recommended to anyone who really appreciates good food, and is happy to try something different from Chicken Tikka Masala. Loved the smart cream and black decor, the service was quick and friendly, we'll be back!
Maharaja South Indian Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreGreat food, fast service, highly recommended
Mei Mei – Liverpool City CentreI love this place!! Have been many times with friends since I started working in Liverpool and think it`s just fantastic! Great atmosphere and great food.
Tai Pan Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreWith spectacular views, this is possibly the best restaurant in the UK at the moment. I went recently dined with a large group and we were all equally impressed. A wide menu choice (which changes weekly) and good wine list. The staff were informative and attentive without being intrusive - special mention for Oliver and Richard for making the occasion memorable. I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a special or new dining experience.

Panoramic 34 – Liverpool City CentreI have eaten three times at Puschka, when I visited my sister in Liverpool:it has become a must- do of any visit! Food is sensational, surroundings stylish yet cosy, and staff are just brill! Don't pass up on such a treat!!
Puschka – Liverpool City CentreI will just say great food and wonderful atmosphere. I would be happy to go back there again and to recommend it to anyone...
Bacchus Taverna – Liverpool City CentreVery good tapas and the paella is superb - cheeky enough to ask for a doggy bag and they didn't bat an eyelid! The monkfish wrapped with serrano ham and cheese and ham croquettes are really yummy!
La Vina – Liverpool City CentreThis deli is an undiscovered wonder. The food wonderful, as was the service. We went for our lunch today and will deffo be going again next weekend. Lunch was sausage, colcannon with onion gravy for myself and a po'boy for my partner who also could not resist one of the deserts, croissant bread and butter pudding with custard. All the food was too the highest standard. Even though this restaurant is slightly off the main part of the city, it steadily filled up with people. It was like they all knew the secret we had just found out.
Delifonseca – Liverpool City CentreMe and my mum love coming here, they have special offers on beofre 6.30 week days - 3 courses 16.95 and a bottle of wine for two!! We try to go at least once a month, you can't beat the price, the staff are friendly, some reviews say you don't get much on your plate, but if you get the 3 course offer I find its just enough to fill you. Definitely worth a try!! A*****
60 Hope Street – Liverpool City CentreWe have been to the Chung Ku three times over a two year period and each time we have been disappointed. The service we have received is exemplary and cannot be faulted. But the food Chung Ku serves is simply overrated, the last occasion we were served cold boiled rice, the meals were either too salty or too sweet and some of our soups were lukewarm. The Chung Ku is inconsistent at best and at times very poor. Marks for service - 10/10 Marks for quality of food served - 5/10
Chung Ku – Liverpool City Centretruly awful pub. overpriced (£2.67p!!) crap ale served in plastic "glasses" for your pleasure as you sit and enjoy the river views. food driven "family pub" serving the usual overpriced muck. disgraceful. the toilets stank too. next time you want to chill by the river, bring your own picnic and be blown away by the spectacular sunset.
