Been here but Thomas Rigbys is much better.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreThe quarter is a brilliant place. I find myself there at least once a week. The relaxed atmosphere, the continental vibe and the quality food are all part of the experience. Also just for people put off by the wine out of tumblers, in Italy and France wine is drunk out of tumblers in most restaurants that I have visited, well at least the non tourist places anyway. So I wouldn't worry about it seeing as though the people in the know do it.
The Quarter – Liverpool City CentreVisited for the 1st time last night had an excellent evening, food and wine were exquisite, I had the Lobster to start and Venison to follow. Only problem was there wasn't enough of it, very small portions indeed. Will be returning though.
The London Carriage Works – Liverpool City CentreMe and my girlfriend have been over 30 times this year. What more can I say!!
Tai Pan Restaurant – Liverpool City Centreso nice is the masterchefs curry that we regularly do a 12 mile round trip to get takeaways and then speed home with all the lovely smells in the car! gets your taste buds fired up! try the garlic cheese nan bread. you'll love it when you mop up the curry sauce...mmmmmmmm get their now and taste what a real curry tastes like!
Master Chef Tandoori Restaurant – Liverpool City Centreexcellent, we go here all the time, modern decor and modern food and great prices. returning again soon.
Savina – Liverpool City CentreAfter a few friends visited and hyped up the place me and my missus decided to dine here and booked a table at the weekend. The decor is really nice but the food was unfortunately not to my taste and poor in comparison to some other Indian restaurants in town. The service was prompt but the waiters were not very knowledgeable about what food they were serving. Meal for two with drinks came to 72quid which in my case is pricy for an Indian.
Mayur – Liverpool City CentreFab place, great food and loads of it! Love it!
Uni Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreArrived for dinner and had a lovely drink in the bar. Menus were given to us while we had our drinks which was a lovely touch. The waiting staff were perfect in that throughout our visit they anticipated our requirements. After sitting us down our beautiful starters of sea trout and another of gently spiced parsnip soup, our main courses also arrived on time and beautifully presented. Overall I can wholeheartedly recommend The Monro as real and welcome alternative to the other restaurants in the city.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreAuthentic Kerala cuisine - friendly service - excellent food
Maharaja South Indian Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreLovely place, nothing is too much for the lovely staff, we love going there and this is our fifth time at Savina. Lovely food I just love the Cancun.
Savina – Liverpool City Centrewas amazing night staff and managers very professional and friendly. Typical Italian atmosphere i will come back as a soon. thanks Luke
Piccolino – Liverpool City CentreI am a south Indian craving for south Indian food and i am pleased to say whenever I feel the urge to taste a good south Indian curry I dash out to Maharajas. Excellent food and service.
Maharaja South Indian Restaurant – Liverpool City Centrewhat can I say, fantastic absolutely loved it, just plain simple old fashion fantastic, people are really nice, the music is nice and the food is nice. defo coming here again.:-)
Savina – Liverpool City Centredidnt like it at all they even tried to rob our change.
Il Forno – Liverpool City CentreI booked a table for last saturday at 7.30 pm, as soon as i went in, i have seen a lot of confusion, then I waited at the door for 15 minutes before I sat down, (the managers and the receptionist were very unpleasant and nasty), the I waited for someone to get me a drink, , I waited for my starter a long time and I had my main course rushed out because they were late with the next booking. I don't recommend this place to nobody. They suppose to serve and greet people in Italian style, but the only Italian thing in there is the name. I have been to Italy a lot of times and the greeting and the service in Italy is top quality. Also to be an Italian restaurant, could be nice to see more Italian staff in there and to see the real Italian atmosphere . I would like to recommend the owner to change is management if he likes to go far.
Il Forno – Liverpool City CentreMyself and my wife visited this restaurant in the first week it opened over 30 years ago. We now live in Canada, but revisit every time we return to Liverpool. It hasn't changed much, even the menu seems the same, but it's bright and cheerful and the quality and pricing is good.
Casa Italia – Liverpool City CentreThis was such a disappointing restaurant. Like the previous reviewer we were shuffled upstairs, first mistake! We made a reservation and afterwards realised downstairs was a much nicer atmosphere. We were surrounded by large parties. The Duck was burned and the food came out on cold plates with no warmers. The service was terrible and I was so embarrassed to have suggested it to my family. There is so much choice in Liverpool. Don't make the same mistake I made.
