It is a beautiful restaurant - I went with my family for my 21st and it was very nice
Chung Ku – Liverpool City CentreIt's difficult to rate the "ambience" of this place, because if it was any other restaurant it could only be described as rubbish. But it isn't any other restaurant, it's the Ma Bo, and there's nowhere else like it. Sit towards the back, and look out of the window, past the elderly Chinese lady preparing the ducks, and you'd swear you were in a cafe in Shanghai, not least because a lot of the customers are ethnic Chinese (which speaks for itself). The food is unsurpassed in any Chinese restaurant I have visited - have a go at the roast duck, it's serious "melt in the mouth" stuff.
Ma Bo Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreLiverpool City Centre has been crying out for a first class restaurant such as Piccolino. I visited on a Friday lunch time and there was a real buzz in the dining room. The staff were very attentive especially to my 2 year old son but in no way intrusive. The food was fabulous. I chose Asparagus & pecorino to start, the asparagus was beautifully crisp. My Husband opted for the chicken livers - which were to die for. For our main course I chose the calves liver with onions and my husband the crispy duck - both devoured, very impressed. As for our son he had a wild mushroom risotto, we thought we may get an equal share of that - no such luck, Lewis ate the lot! Highly recommended.
Piccolino – Liverpool City CentreThis is a fantastic night out. Try it!
Sapporo Teppanyaki Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreI think the food in master chef restaurant is very nice, my advice to you is to try it for yourself becuse as they say you`ve tried the rest now go and try the best
Master Chef Tandoori Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreMirroring what other people have said - the views are pretty good and the restaurant v. nice. But you can't help but feel uncomfortable with some of the clientele. Yeah that sounds stuck up, but when I'm paying £30/each for dinner I don't want to be sat near to a couple of scallies who have fallen into some money :-) But, I would recommend this place for dim sum any day - it's superb. Just go before 3pm!
Chung Ku – Liverpool City CentreFantastic food, fantastic wine, great service. Only slightly let down by the very echoey room - it's quite noisey when full! Try and get a window seat for a truly romantic evening. Top stuff.
60 Hope Street – Liverpool City CentreBeautiful inside, caring staff and a buzzy informal atmosphere that is addictive. I reallly can't say more. You really will be missing out if you don't go at least once. Thanks for a great Sat night to you all - especially Donna our waitress.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreThis is a really great restaurant. The service is really friendly and the food is phenomenal. Great place to visit. I love it and can't get enough of it.
Yuet Ben – Liverpool City CentreWe've been before and were very impressed. They've gone one better and now have a new page in their menu with special dishes made fresh each day. The chefs are obviously enjoying themsleves and letting their imagination run riot as we had lobster (in a pub!!!) for only £15! Good luck to the team and thanks for a memorable evening out.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreExcellent value for money, great surroundings and outstanding food.
The London Carriage Works – Liverpool City CentreWent with friends on a quiet tuesday afternoon. Food was excellent, service top marks (thanks waitress!) Will definitely come again to try your evening menu, thank you for a lovely afternoon.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreI've been in the Monro with some friends and we had a great time!! Food amazing, wine the same. The staff were very lovely and friendly. Don't miss out!
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreThe Tai Pan is a must visit for all lovers of Chinese cuisine. The food is excellent and the service we received was faultless. The atmosphere, the decor, the service, quality of food and modest prices makes the Tai Pan one of the North West's premium Chinese restaurants to dine in.
Tai Pan Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreAbsolutely fantastic. And we only went for lunch. I could rave on about the food all day but enough to say it was simply excellent and probably the best restaurant I've been to, certainly in Liverpool. So good we booked a return visit for our impending wedding anniversary before we left. Pricey, but worth every last penny.
60 Hope Street – Liverpool City CentreGood food at modest prices. Sunday lunch is worth a visit for the chinese food lovers. The place is a bit crowded and rushed. Worth a visit.
Tai Pan Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreWhat can I say? Pizza Express is the best Italian restaurant I've eaten in. The menu is very good offering pizza, pasta, breads, meats and much more. The dessert menu is also impressive - with a mascopone based dish, which is my favourite. This restaurant offers a lot of choice in a nice environment. There is also a no smoking area. The restaurant is right by Mathew Street - which is a bonus if going that way afterwards. I would suggest that if you like Italian food you go to this place first. You need not go anywhere else!
Pizza Express – Liverpool City CentreI went to Bella Pasta for my Birthday with my husband. We were sat next to a hen night. That was the last of our quiet night out! The service was quite slow. Waiting 20 minutes + for the meal of pasta and pizza. The food portions were small compared to other places in the city, such as Pizza Express. I was not impressed by the pasta dish that my husband had ordered. It was basically pasta with a tomato sauce and very bland. My pizza was very nice. It was a thin base. The topping amount was average. I really enjoyed the flavours in the pizza. Next I had ice cream with a brownie in. I was impressed by the amount of ice cream-only to realise that the brownie was tiny. I would describe this as average. I enjoyed the night out. However the staff seemed busy with the hen night girls, and the noise in the place was high. The restaurant is in a great place in Liverpool. I find it hard to recommend the restaurant. This is just not the place for me, and I've eaten in much better Italian restaurants. However I'm sure if you like this kind of thing you will have a great night out.
