Fantastic restaurant - perfectly cooked scallops - to die for lamb and don't miss the puddings!
The London Carriage Works – Liverpool City CentreDecent food, probably the best spare ribs in the world. Friendly atmosphere and, unusually, a terrific wine list. What more do you need from a Chinese restaurant.
Yuet Ben – Liverpool City CentreThought this place was really good at first sight. However when the food arrived wasnt too pleased. My Garlic Chicken was cold and the garlic was burnt leaving a fairly bitter taste. However the mushroom pillau was nice.
Indian Delight – Liverpool City CentreFab, fab, fab! We went for a leaving do and without asking they put us in their new suite which was a wonderful and thoughtful touch There was no problem with choice, quality or service and the great food was complimented with lashings of quality wine which we got cheaper by ordering ahead. I think "they've got there!" and we're definately going back.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreA great addition to the Liverpool restaurant scene- Fantastic food, and the staff were great. Have been waiting for a restaurant like this in Liverpool for years
The London Carriage Works – Liverpool City CentreThis is an excellent restaurant - but they need to get the service sorted out. We went for lunch today, arriving at 10 to 2, knowing we had to be away for 3.45pm. We ordered the dessert at 3.25, but by 3.45 it still hadn't arrived - so had to leave it. If we hadn't had such a long wait for two cold starters... However, the restaurant is excellent and the food superb - I hope they will sort the service out,
The London Carriage Works – Liverpool City CentreThe food was brilliantly arranged and tasted great. Our meals came quickly and tasted fantastic. The staff were efficient and helpful.
Modo – Liverpool City CentreThe best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.
Dr Duncans – Liverpool City CentreA wonderful experience - Very relaxed with lovely decor. There's a comfortable but trendy bar to meet in before/after dining. Food delicious and Service great - would definitely go back
Ziba Restaurant and Bar – Liverpool City CentreIts getting there! The quality of the food is very good indeed - but they run out very quickly. With the numbers they are now getting, there's no reason why they shouldn't have everything available on the short menu.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreVery disappointed to find only a limited menu on the night we visited the Munro - unlike other reports. The menu is little different from a standard pub chain menu. However the cooking was competent and meals prepared promptly with attentive service.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreI visited Est Est Est for the first time recently - I can't believe what I've been missing out on!! It is a informal, highly atmospheric restaurant with friendly staff and very nice food. Be prepared to wait for your table though I visited firstly on a Saturday and secondly on a Tuesday - each time I was qouted an hour wait for a table (though in reality it was only 35-40 minutes) On both occasions, it was packed to the rafters - so they must be doing something right!!
Gusto – Liverpool City Centredon't normally like big hotel restaurants. This one cuts the mustard. Top marks all round.
Crowne Plaza Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreThe friendly service and low prices in this restaurant are commendable, but we thought the food was bland on our visit.
Master Chef Tandoori Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreThe food was amazing!!
Zorbas – Liverpool City CentreWe went to sample the regional cuisine that the monro offers having seen it on TV. We weren't disappointed as although we had to wait for the fresh food to be cooked (this was explained to us before we sat down) it was amazing to taste humble vegetables taste sweet, crunchy and you could tell that the food was good for you. Having sampled Buffalo, Wild Boar and Rabbit we thought this little bar and restaurant is special. The wine list too, is worthy of note as I read that if you don't like any wine that you order they'd exchange it for something you'd prefer. We didn't need to take up the offer as the house wine at only £10.50 was a fabulous Chenin Blanc from South Africa. All in all the food, service and atmosphere were a real delight and this place deserves a visit by everyone.
The Monro – Liverpool City CentreHaving only just discovered Blackburne Houses Cafe Bar I definately will be returning, the food was very tasty and I believe all made on the premises. Well worth a try
